Thanks for your testimony..I'm a year and 3 months into my sobriety..I had hit my rock bottom and try taken my own life after all the B's and depression and all the shit that comes with addiction..and how I woke up I didn't no at the time how I did ..now knowing what I no now is that God let me open my eyes to help me fix my problem..3 hours from opening my eyes I put my self into rehab and open up my skeleton closet to my kids and love ones and told them every thing and went into rehab that day and never look back ...to everyone in the life,,,in the darkness there is your light... remember this.. great things in life comes with hard work and focus...it can be done..#godislife

This one pisses me off. They fired him for being on MAT?! Wtf!? That’s horrible. I get that he’s supposed to “report himself” but why would anyone do that when they know they won’t be supported and will be cast out? No one would. He got addicted THRU a Dr. it makes me furious that drs were throwing around these drugs and normal functioning people who didn’t ask for that chemical dependency, didn’t ask to be an addict, didn’t choose to pick up an illegal substance, have no responsibility. I’m so sorry for this man. My heart literally breaks for him. Shame on the nursing board. Shame on the Dr. who gave it to him without proper knowledge. Yes he’s responsible for some of it BUT let’s support people instead of shaming them so maybe just maybe they’ll ask for help instead of hide.

I want to thank you for sharing. I related a lot but especially on the single thing that still is hurtfull to me and its been alone, isolating. But as I hit my rock bottom recently it meant that now I looking to try every little changes, tools and suggestions to live happy and sober. Listenning to your story with the same sincerity that I have is one powerful tool that helped me get trough the craving I was dealing with 1 hour ago . This is saving lives right there and you just did it. Once again thank you, god bless and hope to cheer you in person one day !

I'm not religious either, but if it helped this guy get his life straight, who am I to criticize. I disagree with a lot of what the church does, but I do know it does some good things too. To each their own.

Michael, Thank you so much for sharing such a powerful testimony! And thank God for putting it on your heart and giving you the courage to hold up the importance of The word of God! As we read in Romans 10:17: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

The Lord our God was with you from the beginning before you ever took your first drug. He's with all of us we just decide when it's time to recognize that He can do for us what we could not do for ourself and some of us take longer to understand this than others! Go and continue to share your story and plant those seeds in peoples hearts Empty out all the pain in your heart so you can make more room for the Holy Spirit ! We love you Michael!

What do you do when the best version of yourself is considered a sin? What are you supposed to believe in then? I sure don’t know what to believe in!

deeply think about all the little joys that you miss. I feel you when we think everybody is liking what we think is ''the best version of ourselves'' but we were not the TRUE ourselvves, HAPPY with ourselves, ASSUMING the real ourselves. I can tell you that it's already not easy to meet somebody new and connect soulfully with them , for me it was even harder and sooo questionning and challenging doing it with myself. But EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm discovering a little something that works for my happyness or at least keeps me away from the cravings that I don't want anymore, I feel deeply that I'm doing a step furter and it's the best feeling experienced in my life !🙌😃💖 The ''going furter'' Cameron will amaze you and give you a life that satisfies you SO MUCH. We can do this and when we gon' shine like our sober brothers and sisters I'm sure we won't question ourselves like that because we will feel that we found the answers !

it is very powerful listening to this man. for me I had a different wipe out, and unfortunately folks telling me that Jesus loves me didn't work for me. I have a friend who says that phrase Mike uses too about having a personal relationship with Jesus. And surrendering and hand problems to Jesus abs he will sort it. Of course it would be fantastic if I could do that. Here you go can you take care of all this thanks. Mike can I ask you how you really moved forward with work family kids partner etc ? The real practicalities of it and what you did. Where do you live. Where do your kids live. When do you see them. What do you work at. What do you do with your free time. What do you use for money. Etc

I'm on Suboxone and trying to taper. I know a guy who swears if you do it correctly and very slowly that you can minimize the withdrawals. But i know that's only one part of this. I want my life back. Suboxone, while i believe it has its uses that can be of benefit if Drs would do this right, it made me so unmotivated and numb. I hate it. It changes you and takes away emotions. So, i want my life back and i am willing to do what it takes. I am a Christian, so i have surrendered. I gave my life to Christ. But i know that don't mean i don't have to work too. I will pray for you. Get into the bible and read. It helped me to see what life should be and can be. Listen to these stories. They are incredibly helpful. Again, you are in my prayers.

Read that First Corinthians Paul says that didn't come with Excellency of speech and enticing words to declare you to testimony of Christ but I came in the power of the Holy Ghost that your faith will be in God not in man the reason these people don't believe it because it's not the power of the Holy Ghost and you can have faith in these churches without having faith in the Lord in that can temporarily keep you until the winds in the storms come you have to the Lord will reveal himself and you'll be scared like a mouse and when the Lions Den if you get to know the Lord he's a holy God but he doesn't make deals with sin you got to come to a true repentance letting go father mother brother sisters husbands land farms money everything that he is your god whatever you give your heart to is your god temporarily keep you
