Adding a Flood Coolant Chip Tray to the Harbor Freight Central Machinery 4X6 Bandsaw

Жыл бұрынI've been wanting to add a coolant system on the Central Machinery (Harbor Freight) bandsaw for a while now. When a buddy gave me the pump/tank and all the extra's, I figured why not add it to the saw. I made a tray the goes the whole way around the saw so I will not have any drips or leaks. I wish I would have taken more pictures and video of the fabrication process, but was all in my head and wasn't sure how I wanted to make it.
Stay tuned towards the end and I'll give you some dimensions to fabricate yourself if interested. Also pay attention to the changes I would make if I was to do it over again.

if you could mass produce those I bet there are alot of saw owners like myself who would buy one I use a mister nozzle and it works but not as good as flood one thing I did was cut a pice of 2x4 wood sawed a kerf in it deeper than the saw blade and just let ride on the blade up at the front guide it wicks some of the chips and coolant off before it goes to the front drive wheel I guess u cold put it in a bracket with a clamp to adjust the pressure it puts on the blade it does wear little

Good video. Can you please add the tank & pump information (make, model, etc) to the video description? I want to do something like this on my saw, but I need to source a tank & pump first. Thanks.

Someone gave me the tank and pump. The number on the pump is Jet HBS916W-CP, the tank is this one I think, Part Number: HVBS7MW-66N
