Glad yours went so smoothly mine not so much, elongated most of the mounting bracket holes most of the spacers didn't fit and a few calls to Old Air, but it's in and now to the inside part.

The reason you don't cut toward yourself when cutting something with any sharp object is so that in the event it snags and then releases, you don't fling the sharp object into yourself. Knife safety tips for everyone. Please read! 1) Always cut away from your body, never in the direction of your body. 2) A sharp blade is safer than a dull one. This is because it requires less force to cut something with a sharper blade. Having to use a lot of force to cut something can cause an accident should the blade be flung by mistake. 3) When passing someone a knife, hold the back side if the blade, so the sharp edge faces outward. This way, the recipient of the blade can take hold of the handle of the knife and you do not get cut when you release the blade. 4) If you have a folding knife that has play in it, you should tighten its fasteners to make it sturdy again. If you do not know how to do this, keep it closed, take it to a knife sharpening store, and ask them to service your folding knife (make it not wobbly)

The reason experience people say cut away from your body, is because they know that people have stubbed themselves and bled to death in minutes if they happened to hit a big artery, especially the femoral artery ...
