Adding Shore Power to a Ford Transit Van Conversion

In this video we show how to add a shore power connection to a Ford Transit. This allows you to cleanly route 120V AC power into the van to power appliances or other electrical loads from an external supply such as a generator or campsite power supply.

Nice! We have 2018 Transit 350 we have taken across country 2x already...I have been "ghetto" routing thru a cracked open window to avoid showing thru vehicle mods...

Video Request: Connecting secondary battery to Ford Transit Van's battery and/or alternator. Apparently, this would require a battery isolator of some sort.

Pattie did you do this we are trying to get a ford dealer to do this and no one will touch it! Getting huge run around from Ford.

You mention the batteries alot in your videos, but I haven't noticed you point out which one is the starter battery. I've found this really difficult to clarify over the net. I've just came across lots of different opinions, some say it's the front and others say it's the rear. Majority are rear? Can you confirm.

Battery under the driver's seat has to be the stupidest design decision ever. They make it a pain to replace, let alone access to test or jump, plus, you get to sit above an acid reservoir that off-gasses (so they need a vent tube)... SMH...

The 2020 Transit comes with AGM batteries which don't require ventilation. Yeah, it might be a pain to replace, but how often do you replace batteries? It's a drier location plus it makes it easier to do custom power projects like this.

Igor Schmidlapp, I am not aware of any vehicle that doesn't offer an easy way to jump the vehicle when the battery is not readily accessible. Go troll someplace else, pretty please with sugar on top.
