I have a fourteen year old dog and know the day will come when I will have to say goodbye to her. I am so happy you were able to adopt another dog. When you have one in your life, it is hard to go without one in your life. It looks like Wade is fitting right in. Once he adjusts, I bet he will be a fantastic dog!! Also, next months donation, I give I will send one for Joyful Rescue. I love giving to animal non-profits!

Meet our new pup, Wade! This is the most joy-filled we've been in a long time. We are in love! Thank you for all your sweet comments about Louis. We miss him every day, and we know he would be so happy to know we've opened our home to another pup who needs some extra love to come out of his shell. Special thanks to the wonderful folks at Joyful Rescues - you are doing amazing work and we are so grateful that you got Wade off of death row and let us adopt him. He is the joy of our life already!

Hey Gill! Been watching you for a while. I have a rescue Chihuahua Dachshund mix named Woody. I felt the same way when I got him. It was love at first sight. Ive had him for about 6 years and he is still timid around strangers but just like Wade he’s so sweet and lovable while its just me and my husband. Wade reminds me of him so much! What a sweet baby. Im sorry about Louie but so glad that you and Dan decided to get Wade.

Omg im crying this entire video. I want to rub his belly. Im so sorry about Louie and his very sad loss that brought new life and love to your family. You are both so kind and I am also a foster volunteer and understand all of it. Your right all donations even small ones like sending paper towels, litter, leashes lots of affordable donating choices. He's happy, safe and loved nothing better. Thank you.

Honestly cried when I heard about Louie. It's my worst fear to lose my baby girl Luna but was so happy and smiled all the way through this vlog. Dogs change your life for the better. Wade will bring you so much joy. Mine and Lunas tradition which we do every day since she was a pup Is when i come home from work she jumps up takes my scarf off me runs off then comes back for kisses wiggling her little butt.(I now wear a scarf everyday) 😂😂 people look at us funny as she does it every time she sees me after a period of time spent apart but i wouldnt have it any other way. Love to you all xxxxxxx

Wade is so unbelievably adorable! I am sorry to hear about Louis. Your love for him and his love for you will be with you forever. You and Dan are such kind and loving people. The three of you seem so filled with joy. I have two guinea pigs, and they are my small men that I love so much. It is such a special thing to bring animals into your home and heart. Keep us all updated on Wade!

Thank you for taking in a rescue!! What a beautiful way to honor Louis's life! I foster dogs regularly and one of the rescues I work with transports dogs from our local shelters to shelters across the country that aren't overcrowded and/or high kill. People like you literally save lives when you take in dogs like Wade. He is so cute and I'm sure he is so grateful for your love and patience. I was so sorry and sad to hear about Louis. Pets are family and can never be replaced but I am glad you are filling your home again with the unconditional love that only a dog can provide!

So so so happy for you, Dan, & Wade. It is so emotional & difficult losing a dog. They are family. Happy you were able to give a home to another dog in need. Whenever I watch your videos I’m reminded to be grateful for so many things in my life, my dogs included 🐶💕

We just adopted another dog :) 8.5 year old coonhound named Cassie from pet finder (her name as Cossie originally) Currently have a 12 year old rescue golden doodle named Bear :). Sorry to hear about Louis :( congrats on your new rescue.

I have 3 dogs, theyre all very sweet and loving but one of them in particular, his name is Pebbles. He is my eldest dog, i've had him since i was about 8 so he's 13 years old and blind in both eyes but such a sweetheart. Always wants to be petted and played with, he still acts like a puppy and i ADORE HIM . After all my dogs pass though, i will be adopting.

We did bell train our beagle mix Lady (she was a puppy) to ring the bell to go out. I would pat her little paw on the bell hanging by the door every time we would go out and give her a small treat. Now she hits the bell everytime she wants to go out. Makes life a little easier.

I'm so happy for you guys - Wade looks like a great doggy. We just lost our Fancy (she was a Papillon) last week to lymphoma. She was almost 14 years old and I'd had her since she was a puppy. It is so hard to say goodbye. I'm glad you have a new pup to help you and to fill your home with love. Thanks for sharing with us!

So happy for you guys to have found a new little doggie! One thing we noticed after losing our first dog when we got the second one overtime we realized that they actually had some of the same traits and that I feel like the new dog does things that the old dog did and I don't feel like there's anyway he would have known about those things if somehow the spirit of our older dog wasn't around guiding him. It's so sweet and eerie all at the same time.

I think he definitely looks like part chihuahua. They are snugglers. We lost our chihuahua a couple of months ago, it’s been hard. But eventually we’d like to get a mix like Wade. He’s a sweetheart! I like rewards based training, and have found Zak’s Dog Training channel helpful.

Congratulations to you both. I’m so happy God blessed you both with such a wonderful dog. My biggest tip for you both with a male dog is to do with territorial behaviour. Just to prevent bitting or aggressive behaviour start with his feeding time. When putting his dog food down place your hand in his food to show him it’s not his but something that’s yours you are giving to him. If he becomes aggressive with this try feeding him a few kibbles at a time from the bowl instead. Then gradually placing the bowl on the ground again showing him you can place your hand in his food. Since your dog is more timid you may not have this problem. However it’s a good practice to build now. The other big tip is to continuously keep him socialized with other dogs and people but gradually at his own pace. Otherwise I think you two will be amazing at this!

So sorry to hear about your loss. Putting my cat down was so hard and I quickly realized I couldn't live with a friend so I got a kitten a few weeks layer. I know where Cuba is. It's not too far from me and I have cousins that live there.
