I went to Vegas for the first time last September. My husband & I took a half day trip to the Hoover Dam. The bus picked us up & dropped us off at our hotel (MGM Grand). It was breath taking. Something free & not super time consuming -the nightly water show at the Bellagio. It reminded me of a show you’d see at Disney 👍🏻💕

I loved the blue man group show, and the hover dam tour was great!!!!

So excited you are going as first timers! I was there several times in Feb & March, as well as many times in years past. I’m also a huge Disney fan, If you wanted to do one or two days side trip, you can take the Lux bus, it leaves at 3:30 from Harrahs, gets to Anaheim @ 8p. Anyway, I’ve stayed @ many hotels in Vegas. My favorites are TI, Mirage, and the Venetian or it’s sister property, Palazzo. I really like TI, by the way there’s an ATM in the CVS that’s in the hotel that has no fee! That’s huge because most of the ATM fees in Vegas are super $$! I love the love show, Michael Jackson show, and La Reve is excellent!! Take Lyft everywhere it’s cheap. Some of my favorite restaurants are;Canonita in the Venetian-They have good happy hour margaritas and appetizers and you can watch the gondolas going by! Grand Lux, also in the Venetian has delicious food, It’s owned by the Cheesecake Factory. Nobu in Caesars is spendy, but delicious, as is Del Monicos in the Venetian. Oh on the fashion Valley Mall right next to TI, they have a food court, As well as tons of shops. You might want to go to the miracle mile shops down at the south end which is connected to Planet Hollywood. You can take a free tram between Mirage and TI, same between Bellagio & Aria. Take one of the double decker buses to the downtown area. Lots of free and interesting entertainment down there! There’s also great food down there, including a couple of steakhouses I can’t remember the names of and I really great Thai food place

That buffet is everything! Don't know if you saw our wedding vlogs but we'd deff recommend the stratosphere restaurant if you want a fancy meal one night. The big wheel is gorgeous at sunset. Also the neon museum downtown is a fun trip to make to see a little bit of vintage vegas. Can't wait for the vlogs x

This is crazy! I love your VLOGS Gillian! Love Dan too haha. My husband and I are going to Vegas for the first time ever in May. If we bumped into you two there that would be amazing! As first timers we definitely want to see a magic show, the Cirque du Soleil, the wax museum and finally a murder mystery dinner theatre show. Just a tip someone showed us. We have these apps you can download to give you free coins you use towards meals, shows and even hotel rooms. It’s called My Vegas. I’ve accumulated quite a few gold coins in just a week. It’s a great money saver!

There’s a lot of hotels along the strip but if you can budget $5 per hotel/casino, it’s a fun way to be able to say you played/gambled in each hotel well still staying within budget.

I just went for my first time too a few months back! It was for work so I didn’t have total autonomy lol, but what I did do was really fun! I liked exploring MGM Grand, they have a Top Golf and CSI experience, with lots of great shopping AND a monorail that takes you across the strip! I could have spent hours here. Definitely visit the Bellagio, they have incredible seasonal displays and of course the iconic glass ceiling. Cosmo also has a really pretty bar with a huge chandelier (good photo opp, plus a lot of great dining options here as well!) Honestly, since you can walk around with alcohol, it’s so fun just to explore the hotels and walk around drinking! I can’t wait for the vlogs and can’t wait to here what you think. It’s honestly SO themed that it definitely gave the same feeling you get from the parks as far as being fully immersed in a semi fantasy reality, but obviously with A LOT more adult environment haha

If you are interested in seeing a show, I do recommend either La Reve at Wynn or Cirque Du Soleil Beatles LOVE show at Mirage. Other fun and free things are the fountains/music at the Bellagio, volcano at Mirage, the conservatory in Bellagio as well is amazing!! Fairly economical options are the neon museum tour of old las vegas signs from hotels/casinos that are no more, as well as if you might be into zip lining you can zip line down fremont street (old original las vegas before the main strip) I do also recommend the ferris wheel as well at night, amazing views! Have you booked a room yet? If so where will you be staying? If not I can def recommend some nice places to stay as well!

The Bacchanal is soooooo good! I think about it way too much!!

Stay at the Flamingo! It is a cheaper hotel and has almost an old school Vegas feel to it. Plus it is in the middle of the strip so it is pretty easy to get anywhere. Have fun!

I so enjoy your travel vlogs so I am excited to see you do Vegas. When I went I enjoyed just walking up and down the Strip and people watching. Also, going from hotel to hotel and seeing what is inside. The Venetian and Bellagio are lovely. If you have enough time, take a day trip to the Grand Canyon. It is beautiful. I loved it. Have an awesome time!

Go in every hotel- they are all massive and absolutely amazing inside(especially the Bellagio)! Take a gondola ride at the Venetian. See the Beatles Love Cirque du soleil show! Also go to fremont st at night.

Also Magic Mike Live! It will become Dan’s favourite. 😂 Seriously though it’s been 5 years but I’ve been 12 times...so...these things may be gone but... The parade in the sky at The Rio and there used to be a really good Italian restaurant that played movies like Godfather & Scarface while you ate in that hotel. The Strip House in Planet Hollywood was great and definitely go for a cafe in Paris.

Hooray, for a Cheap and Cheerful Trip!!! Vegas is one of my families favourite vacation spots! You have to try In-N-Out Burger, as they are everything! Also, if you are to only see one show you have to see Cirque show LOVE! It is truly a show we could see every time we are there! In this cirque show it's all about the music and the storyline is amazing and truly it is my entire family's favourite Cirque show.....KA is the runner up for shows! The Bellagio fountain show is also a fun thing to see.....but soaking up the sun while laying by the pool having drinks is also a favourite of ours! Have a fun trip! 😊

I highly recommend the North Premium outlets for some great deals - I have spent way too much money there! If you want to see a show, the Michael Jackson Cirque du soleil show is such a joyful experience. If you want Pizza, 'Flour & Barley' is the place to go - it was the best pizza I had in the US. And just make sure your ready to walk because there is so much to see and explore. You will love it!

The Beatles Cirque Du Solei show LOVE is amazing! I don’t think there’s a lot of human pretzel action 😂 although it’s been a while.

OMG - before I went to Vegas I read unreasonable buffet reviews and laughed my head off too! The strip is massive, so i'd suggest planning out where on it you want to be each day to avoid excessive walking :)

You two must go watch a Cirque Du Soleil show (but not the Chris Angel Mindfreak one). Those shows are mindblowers so beautiful and I find them very inspiring.

You are going to love it. Kinda close to Epcot with all the different themes! We go often and stay at the Cosmopolitan. Even if you aren't staying there, you must try China Poblano and Egg Slut. They are everything! You won't regret it. Fremont street is a must as well! Have a great trip!

Bacchanal is the best buffet in vegas! Its worth every penny. I love their hot crab! If you have trouble finding it just ask someone. Honestly don't waste your time at any other buffet unless its breakfast then the buffet at the Paris is really good. There is so much to see and do in Vegas, but I really enjoy walking around on the strip at night and seeing the water show at Bellagio. If you are seeing a show and are not easily offended you should see Absinthe. I've seen tons of shows in Vegas and Absinthe is the best by far!

Vegas is awesome!! Other than Disney that's our spot, enjoy!!

I AM SO EXCITED THAT YOU’LL BE VISITING WHERE I LIVE!!! I actually am not a fan of Bacchanal cuz I think it’s overpriced. My favorite buffet on the strip is Wicked Spoon in the Cosmopolitan because they portion everything out for you and is a little cheaper. As a first-timer, I always suggest you walk up and down the entire strip as each hotel has their own unique thing about them, like the garden and water show at the Bellagio, High Roller at the Linq, water and fire show at Caesar’s palace, midway games at Circus Circus, going up the Stratosphere (and even risking your life by riding a ride up there)... My favorite shows are Absinthe (a more scandalous version of Cirque du Solei), Tournament of Kings (medieval dinner and jousting show) at the Excalibur & Drag Brunch at Señor Frogs in Treasure Island (complete with drag queens and mimosas)! Then, head to Downtown Las Vegas where you can check out the Neon Graveyard, the Mob Museum (history of mobsters in Las Vegas) & Fremont Street. Then there are multiple shopping options (my fave is the North Premium Outlets and Fashion Show) and, finally, you have to take a pic with the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign! Eeeeek! I can’t wait to watch your vlogs!

A friend and I are driving up to Vegas next Monday. We're also spending a night in Laughlin. Staying at Circus Circus in Vegas and Colorafo Belle in Laughlin. Vegas is the Adult Disneyland. There's a fairytale castle, costumed characters you can pay for a photo, themed hotels that include a tropical theme and pirates, and a monorail. Years ago Mark IV Monorails Coral and Lime operated in Vegas with new paint jobs.

You definitely need to drive out to the Hoover Dam. It’s about an hour from the strip. A must do if your in Vegas.

Vegas is the best. My must do list: -MJ cirque du soliel (no pretzel folds! 😘) -ATVing in the desert -Hoover dam -Penn and Teller And make sure to spend some time at the penny slots ❤️

I can’t help but laugh. I am currently in Vegas and took a break to watch KZfaq and you said you’re going lol. I love it. I would say my advice is stay in the central part of the strip. I always enjoy the Flamingo because its in a great area but cheap. I recommend using the monorail to get from one side of the strip to the other. Also, when you get a ride from the airport, if you’re using a taxi, make sure to tell them not to take the highway or the tunnel. If they go that way they are scamming you. Enjoy!

We went for the first time last year! Go to the neon sign graveyard! They do nightly tours! It’s so cool and you learn the history of Vegas and great photo opps! It’s also not far from Fremont St! Which is a must! Also.... if you need a Little bit of Disney... I randomly discovered that there’s a BASIN WHITE store in the Venetian where we stayed! And it’s very close to a Macaroon bakery so win win 😘 also.. we rented a car and drove a couple hours out to the Grand Canyon and it was totally worth it for the day!! Also... the Hoover Dam is on the way there :)

You’re going to love Vegas! If you haven’t picked a hotel yet I suggest somewhere mid strip. That way you can walk to a lot of places. I did a westjet vacations package and got a room at the bellagio for a pretty decent price I thought. If you have the time definitely go to the grand canyon west rim. Canyontours.com has a good grand canyon and hoover dam trip. Also if you’re seeing any cirque du soleil shows my favourite was “O”. So fantastic. Don’t know if they do it any more but when I went a couple years ago and bought tickets there I got a discount because I was Canadian. Also if you haven’t eaten at In N Out burger I highly suggest it. Soooo good! Even just walking through all the different hotels are so interesting! Have fun!

Stay at a hotel on Fremont St. We stayed at the Golden Nugget and loved the atmosphere when you leave the hotel. Lots and lots of walking so bring comfy shoes.

Been going to Vegas since I was 17. Go Downtown. At night they have a light show with Music on the canopy and it’s the closest you’re going to get to seeing classic Vegas. Fun, cheap experience. Best show I’ve seen is LOVE (Not a fan of Cirque shows but this is worth it) great Beatles music and show. Also if you like early rock and roll go to Harrahs and watch Million Dollar Quartet. Based on true story of the night Elvis, JohnnyCash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis met up at Sun Studios. There’s a Titanic exhibition down at the Flamingo I think. Art at the Bellagio and they have some cool fountain, light, music shows out front. You can get a birds eye view either by going to the top of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel or by riding in the Vegas Eye that is behind Harrahs/Quad hotels. Hard Rock Casino has cool memorabilia. Go to Caesar’s and stroll through thier shopping area. Great stores including a Longchamp Store. Venetian also has good shopping. As far as food goes. There are tons of places in all the resorts so you’re pretty safe in any of them, but I liked the Guy Fieri place at The Quad, there’s an In and Out Burger over on Dean Martin Drive and the best crepes are in the walkway that connects the Paris hotel to Bally’s.

Vegas is where I live! That’s so exciting that you are coming!!!!!!! Definitely see the Bellagio Conservatory gardens (they change the design every season) and of course the fountains. The High Roller Ferris wheel is awesome and gives an excellent view. You should make the trip out to the Hoover Dam it’s pretty amazing and something 20 minutes away from the strip is the Ethel M Chocolate factory and Cactus Garden. Have a blast when you are here!

So a couple recommendations: If you want a great fast buffet with great crepes lol, go to the Paris Hotel Buffet. Another great breakfast place that I discovered is Eggslut. Yep you read that right. It’s on the 2nd floor of the Cosmopolitan casino. Seriously the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had. Also Wahlburgers is a great place for lunch. My favorite show is Love at The Mirage. No twisting people. But awesome music and awesome performers. We’ve seen it twice. And last restaurant recommendation is Guy Fieri’s Kitchen and Bar - his trash can nachos are seriously amazing and fun to order lol

The Paris hotel has an excellent buffet and a Crepe booth (that will not be messed up). I love just wandering around the hotels.

Black Tap in the Venetian has those over the top shakes with cake and candy on top. So fun! The Cirque show “O” is amazing at the Bellagio. The high roller ride at the Linq is awesome. Have fun!

Cheap and Cheerful ideas: 1.There is a Pinball Hall of fame with a huge selection from the 1920's on. 25c a play.. You can take a bus there. 2. All of the free shows on the strip (Bellagio Fountains, Mirage volcano and TI pirate show). 3. Linq ferris wheel at night. 4. If you eat at Voodoo at the Rio, it is on the 50th floor and you get free access to the deck outside to look at the strip.

The shopping is amazing. The Beatles show is beautiful! It is a circus show but it’s done so well.

Nice you’ll love Vegas! They have good outlets if you have time. Also if you can squeeze in a drive or helicopter ride to Grand Canyon do it!!

Stay at the Cosmopolitan. It's one of the newer hotels on the strip and right in the middle of everything. make sure to get a balcony room on the bellagio fountains and Eiffel tower side.

Neon museum at night!! You can walk through old casino signs that are lit up. Idk if they changed it up yet but hotels don’t let uber come on to property, usually they have a designated spots where they can drop off or pick up. Even the location pin in the app will move away from the hotel to pick up. Hash house a go go and tacos el gordo to eat!! Absinthe show must see!!

Go see Cirque “O”. . It’s very expensive but it truly amazing! Carrot Top is a riot. Also go to the Wynn if only to walk around. It’s breathtaking.

I really love the Cirque shows...my favs are Ka (MGM Grand), O (Bellagio) and Michael Jackson One (Mandalay Bay). Can’t remember which ones, if any, have contortion acts...I don’t think O has any because it’s in water and I don’t think the Michael Jackson one had any either. Also, the Fremont Street Experience in downtown is always a lively, fun place to visit at night. And of course the Bellagio water show is pretty cool too (and it’s free!!). Hope this helped!! 😊👍🏼
