Unfortunately this does not do a full factory reset. When I tried to re connect to a different account it would not allow it. The message on the app real "Sorry, this base station is already associated with another account."

@Alton Britton I believe that message 'Sorry, this base station is already associated with another account.' is because that product was registered by somebody else before. Is that a (not new) returned product? Probably have to tell previous owner to disown or disconnect from their Wyze account.

@@oscaraviles1891 it is more complicated for security purposes. Because it's possible someone to just straight up steal the WCO, Wyze wanted to make it hard for such a person to just use

I FOUND A SOLUTION! I had same problems. Unplug ethernet and pwr , then press and hold both the sync botton and paperclip in reset hole for 30 seconds Then while still holding the paperclip into reset hole plug the unit in to power and wait until it goes all the way to orange again before removing paper clip

didn't work for me. :-( After the reset I tried to set it up as a new base station and it still says it is owned by another owner. Sent a ticket to Wyze.

I have problems forget my password my email is in but password forgot I’m trying how to factory reset to start over again ,, I just wish that there’s another kind that just plug in with WiFi no need email or password just simple video outdoor ,,if they have it Home Depot ,,

Wyze users, New discovery obout the outdoor wyze camera that lose connection and won't reconnect. The problem is with the design. The Base Station gets hot with use. This causes "value changes" within its cheap circuits. Once cooked it can be reconnected at 2.4.

Doesn’t Wyze only connects with 2.4 unless a change was made. Mines been oos for awhile, got a new modem so reason I came to this vid.

@@BelzHere True 2.4 only. I have found that the heat created in them from frequent or extended viewing creates a problem.

Have to agree. Video is "How To Reset". Just please show us that. We don't need to know about the paper clip, we can see it already.

I had the same problem, just delete the device on the wyze app and start from scratch. it works. (you need to be on the same wifi network while you do it

How were you able to do that? WYZE said you can’t delete the outdoor cam or it won’t be able to set up again. My cam won’t come back online and I don’t know what to do to fix it. Please help, thanks.

Not good to use and not for 2nd hand trading. It requires you to contact the old owner to delete the account but I hardly know the old owner…Called WYZE and the talked bullshit to ask you buy new devices. It’s on purpose to sell more devices. Not really for safety reason
