Initially, I wasn't down with the sentimonster theories... then I came around to it and recognise its potential to be very interesting indeed. My main issue is now that a) I'm sure they didn't plan this from the start (comments like Chloe saying they've been friends since they were toddlers) and b) I don't trust the creators to give this plotline justice. The impact this revelation would have on Adrien (and Marinette) would be monumental and this show rarely fully explores the true scope of emotions these kids would be experiencing. How will they just... move on from that? I've got no idea! If Adrien is a senti-monster, I hope he's a special kind, and has grown up the normal way etc and didn't just pop into being as a teenager.

But tbh, I don't like the idea of him being a sentimonster programmed to be loving and perfect, it ruins him as a character and as a human. I want him to be his own person, his perfection and compassion isn't premade as a sentimonster, but his own humanity and personality. Because at the end of the day, he is made a human, so he has to create what he is himself today on his own. That makes him something greater than a sentimonster. My personal headcanon is her mother made him out of pure love to be their CHILD, his own person, and to be happy achieving what he wants to be in life making lots of friends as a genuine human. Adrien being perfect and compassionate is him being their child, a personality his own, and as if he was a real human being born out of Emilie's womb. I want this to happen. Adrien being programmed to be what he is today ruins the concept of him being a real human for me.

i think adrien being a sentimonster would finally be some good writing, for a few reasons. a) marinette is guardian, and will be for a long time i assume. therefore adrien being a sentimonster may be able to extend his life span to match hers, which is beautiful in a way. b) it gives adrien’s personality justice and explains his identical appearance to Felix (who i also believe to be a sentimonster) c) it could explain what caused the peacock miraculous to break / put emilie in her situation, i’m not certain but it could be possible that making complex life forms took her own energy. not sure though.

another thing I have to say, after watching adoration for the second time is that Gabriel is at a distance when he stops Adrein from kissing Marinette, and somehow he disappears from in the background after saying "Adrien ,NO!!"And he's still taking the order like he's with him and can somehow hear him???How would that happen, unless he was a sentimonster??

I was fr hating the sentimonster theory but this video changed my mind. Now Felix's obsession over the ring and the peacock miraculous makes a lot of sense. ALSO according to the sentimonster wikia page the user can only make ONE sentimonster, in order to make another one the first has to die. SO, if Felix is also a sentimonster that means his father also died due to the usage of the peacock miraculous. But does his mother know about it? She seemed unaware of the miraculous powers up until now, or am i missing something?

i’m going to leave my take here: so if adrien IS a sentimonster, that leaves me with some questions: how would gabriel not know adrien is cat noir if he’s controlling him? how is adrien able to have a feather allergy? one of the biggest arguments that is proving adrien is a sentimonster is the fact that gabriel touches his ring, but i see him do that when talking to anyone really, i’ve always thought of it as a habit he has (like someone biting their nails), and as for adrien obeying everything his father says: i’ve always perceived that to be a trauma response. when you’ve been mentally abused, you will listen to anything they say out of fear because they have that power over you. adrien’s goal in life was literally just to make his parents happy and so gabriel holds that power over him.

I’ve had this reoccurring thought: how did the peacock miraculous break? Miraculous are supposed to be practically indestructible. And, the butterfly miraculous was likely in the same conditions, physically, so it should’ve broken too. I’d guess that Emily broke it trying to crest two sentimonsters at the same time, at the cost of her life… sorta. Why? I haven’t a clue, but I feel like it makes sense.

I tried not watching the episodes out of order, but after waiting a month and seeing that there might not be another episode for another month, I caved. But I am glad that I watched Protection before Emotion. Wish I had the strength to wait for the other episodes. I hated the SentiAdrien theory, but… it’s basically confirmed. I’m slowly accepting it. It reminds me of the plot of Ella Enchanted, having the “gift” to obey every command. And I guess in this case, it’s not as bad since only someone with the amok can control a sentimonster, vs anyone and everyone. The way I’m seeing this is Adrien truly is a princess that needs to be saved from his father, like the show itself mentioned.

I picked up something interesting, after watching the episode Protection, for the second time. Did you notice how quickly Gabriel relented when Nathalie challenged him about controlling Adrien, when it came to who he can love?!? Gabriel's reaction communicating with Nathalie, was just like Adrien's reaction when communicating with his father. The determination which led them to confront the ring wearer, evaporates immediately, once given an instruction. Because as soon as Nathalie said, you cannot go THAT far, Gabriel's rage left him immediately - and he agreed with her. Literally, seconds later! I don't know what it is about the twin rings, but Gabriel is acting like a sentimonster around Nathalie, now she's wearing a ring too. Notice in Perfection, the confrontation between Nathalie and Gabriel, outside Adrien's bedroom? It was like Gabriel chose his words very carefully, so as not to disagree with her, but still get what he wanted. Then Gabriel gives her that same discontented look, in both Perfection and Protection when he is forced to relent to her wishes.

Honestly, my theory is that Felix is a Sentimonster. I think he had wanted the ring back so that he could control his own actions (as we see in 'Ladybug', when the sentimonster had the object controlling it, it controlled its own actions), and if he could get the brooch, even better. Also, Gabriel in 'Gabriel Agreste,' "I am Gabriel Agreste, and I do indeed have every power I need to find my wife's ring, including *the power to destroy your life.* I don't need to be Shadow Moth for that." And a few seconds later, "And now you know that *I only need to snap my fingers to make you disappear from here.* " (the snapping of fingers being how he releases his akumas/sentis from EXISTANCE, making them DISAPPEAR) Felix then looks scared and says "You wouldn't dare!" To Gabriel saying, "Do you want to take that risk? *Think of your mother.* " and Felix hesitates and backs away. In the season 4 finale, as Felix is disguised as Adrien and is snooping around, Gabe gives his ring to Nathalie, placing "Adrien" under her protection. "Adrien" later says that he doesn't want to go on this trip, and Nathalie pushes up her glasses, showing a ring, and says, "Adrien, it's time to go." To which Felix kinda jumped slightly in shock and said "Yes, Nathalie." As if he was following a command. This is just from what I've seen, my own personal theory, that no one ever seems to talk about. I'm hoping that Adrien isn't actually a Senti, and that people are over analyzing it. A sentimonster does not have a heart and therefore would not have a warm body either. 2. Sentimonster’s speech is controlled by whoever controls them. If he truly was a sentimonster, he wouldnt be able to carry out a conversation with his Father. 3. Sentimonster’s cannot go against their masters orders. While it is true, that usually Adrien obeys his father, he has disobeyed him in episodes like “Origins” Where we see him running away to school. Or in “Startrain” When he goes on the field trip without his fathers permission. 4. If Adrien was a sentimonster, the Gabriel would know his identity. Like I said in #2, Sentimonster’s speech is controlled by their master. Therefore, if Adrien was a sentimonster, Gabriel would know his secret. 5. Sentimonster’s only feel the emotion of what their master was feeling at the time they created them. If Adrien was a Sentimonster, he would not be able to feel emotions such as love, anger, sadness, confusion, “She’s Just A Friend”, etc. 6. Last but not least, Sentimonster’s can’t grow up! Chloe makes references to when they were just toddlers which means they obviously grew up together. Sentimonsters cant grow up. They are one image. They stay that image. That is it.
