In this video I introduce you to the Robot Frame. This frame is used to embroider odd items such as shoes, pocket books, handbags and purses. We will adjust robot frame and embroider out some custom text on the side of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star shoe. The shoes came out great!! You can mirror the design on the screen but it is confusing at times , I’ve definitely had to grab a seam ripper and tweezers a few times 😂 Now I wish the robot arm fit the EM1010!! Definitely will try it out on my 8 in 1 hoops though. Great job! Thanks for sharing!!

I have the EM 1010. How can I do this with that machine?

You might not be able to. You need the MT-1501 for shoes and belts. The thickest fabric I’ve done on the em-1010 is denim. These converse shoe’s fabric is similar to treated denim but it’s still hard. The em-1010 not heavy duty. The MT-1501 is industrial and heavy duty. Em-1010 is great, i have two of them but still can’t do what the Mt-1501 can. The robot frame can not fit the em-1010.

it‘s good but in my opinion Ricomas are better 🙂 if i want to embroider caps i have to buy it for 1500... Ricoma here in Germany have these things included 🤯 my Brother can embroider leather but i can‘t use the perfect needles for it. so there are a few small things that bring me to the point to say: i need a ricoma 😋 and these shoes looking perfect embroidered

Oh my gosh, I'm really trying to not throw these arms in the trash! I have the TC1501 & I'm not sure I'm liking these robot arms at all. It keeps rubbing against the sewing arm where the bobbin housing is located as if the robot arms sit too low. I'm working on my husband's shoes, & apparently size 12.5 is too big because as it's tracing, the shoes are hitting the sides & squishing up. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Original chucks are always blank on the outside. The logo is always on the inside ankle. They are all like that. I got these from the converse outlet. Philadelphia Premium Outlets.

No. The robot frame can not fit in the em-1010 and the em-1010 was not built to do shoes. It can embroider denim and may be able to penetrate some thicker fabrics but if you want to embroider shoes of all kinds you need a machine that is built to handle thicker fabrics. Thank you. No, no stabilizer. The point of using stabilizer is to keep the material you are embroidering on stable. In this case the side of the shoe is very stiff and does not require and stabilization. How did you get your machine to start the trace in the correct spot? When I trace, it moves to the center starting spot. Since the robot frame isn't centered, it makes a crazy noise. Please help. thanks 1

You want it to trace from the center. It goes from the center to the outer most edges of the design. You want it to start from the middle. When selecting the frame select other then position the design where you want it to be on the shoe using the arrow keys in the screen.

I had my M1501 a little less than a year and haven’t made a dime. The machine has been stitching badly and idk why. I call every day and they say they will send a tech but haven’t gotten one yet. Any suggestions?

Sounds like You are having issues with your thread and bobbin tension. You should learn to adjust your tension and you will have good looking stitches. Don’t say the machine is having issues. The machine does what you tell it to. If you can not operate it it’s not the machine’s fault. To be a good machine operator you have to take accountability. If you blame everything thing else other than yourself you will never learn. Take accountability and learn to operate your machine properly, don’t blame the machine if you are the issue. Sorry if this seems harsh but it’s the truth.

Try increasing your pull compensation when digitizing something that will go on a thicker item this will stop it pulling through as much like the first shoe

No. That’s was the text I used. Wasn’t a good choice. The actually font has holes in it. Thanks though. If I had to much pull Comp the thread would have broke it would not pull threw a shoe. Thread is not that strong. Thanks I appreciate it.

Nope. Materials this thick are already stable, we don’t need to stabilize what won’t move.

Hey did you use the same file for the both shoes or you designed 2 different designs because of the layout of the shoes side . ??

New file. Would be impossible to use the same me file unless you don’t mind the font sitting the same direction. Had to justify the font the other direction. New file.

@@curbyharry4497 I did not use any converse picture on my compute but hav in a template could help. Unless you get a size 5 vs size 12.
