Embarrassed to say it took me way too long to realize that there are two Izzys. I know their names and faces but somehow that's as far as I got. Most likely a matter of skin moisture and conductivity. Some people have inherently drier skin. There is even a guy that basically can't receive static electric shocks because his skin is so lacking in natural moisture. Izzy probably just has low skin moisture which prevents the watch from working properly.
