As a gamer i ask myself why do we let big company do this to us ? Gaming is an art form, and while it's not your typical one, it is for me a very beautiful one. Some games stay in our memory because they were incredibly well designed, had a great story/gameplay, interesting characters, ... Yet, when i see the things Activision (and EA, ubisoft, ...) create to scam us and rob us of our money.'.. Makes me wanna puke... A lot. CoD has been recycled since MW2, and you cannot deny that, nowadays the gameplay is the exact same as the previous; the only thing changing being the graphics, the new weapons and "ohh loook, new gadgets, look ! Lazers and helicopters that you can ride!!" It's such a fucking disgrace that people still buy these games. I mean even for a 12 y o kid... Why the fuck do they play these kinds of game ? What is appealing to the same gameplay over and over, and having a bad time because the ennemy team is better than you ? And so far the only way i know to stop such scams

Worst thing that happened in Advanced Warfare... I was once stuck in a lobby, trying to play some. However there was this group of 6 guys, constantly spawn camping us. We would spawn, turn around, dead. One game, meh. Just going to change to another lobby. Found them again. Left. Found them again. Left. Found them again. So I quit the game for a month... (advanced supply drops just came out) Got back in, AND THEY STILL SPAW- haha naaaah jk

worst memory of advanced warfare is that i got it mid night release and after a couple of months a friend of mine that had only just got the game and got three of the best guns through drops and i still haven't been lucky enough to get any good gun in general. F#%K ADVANCED WARFARE!!!

Activision has successfully pulled this off twice. AW and Destiny. I guarantee you that BO3 will have a similar scam in it, besides the preorder scam to get the beta. I knew the beta would be free because they did the exact same thing in the Destiny beta. This might be the end of our innocent little gaming hobby and the beginning of oppressive government regulation once these kids grow up with gambling addictions.

This is why I trust Team Fortress 2.

I really like your video it addresses the serious problem of gambling in a passionate way and I too believed that if I spent a little money I could be the best player but then I thought and that seemed like a really bad way to think about something like this. I don't know what will become of this came in the following years but I am dead sure that people who spent more than 100 dollars on supply drops will regret it and cry about it, and I'll just be watching and feeling great about myself because I knew a game is just a game and it will inevitably end taking your money, time, and effort.

Someone was on reddit was bragging about spending $300 bucks on supply drops and when i questioned him about it he says it doesnt matter, "he has the means to buy it". They dont get it, when has it been ok to buy a game for 60 bucks then spend another 300 on it. I even stopped watching streamers who said they spent so and so money on supply drops. I deleted AW a while ago and honestly havent even missed it. I had a ton of fun on the BLOPS3 beta hopefully they do the right thing in regards to everything else.

I will never understand why people will turn their backs on reason and logic, and refuse to evaluate the concerns of someone with their best interests in mind. I took your argument in regards to pre-ordering to my coworkers and friends and tried to explain that by pre-ordering games you're simply telling developers/publishers that you're okay paying for unfinished content, while simultaneously, you open yourself to the chance that you could get totally screwed out of the experience you were expecting (e.g. Destiny). Their unanimous response was "but I get to play da beta this weekend... oh, and look at this shiny bullshit I get to make me stand out". I agree with about half of what you said here. I totally hate that supply drops are micro-transactions --- I agree that they should never have been for sale in the first place. But I do think that the people who are stupid enough to buy them deserve to lose their money. Yes, I watched the full video, and yes, I know a lot of kids are playing COD, but they shouldn't be. The game is rated M, and little kids should not be allowed to play COD. The parents of these children give them these games at too young of an age and then don't care what happens afterwards. As you said, the kids would just use the parents' money to buy the supply drops, and you know what? That should be a wake-up call to those parents that they made an irresponsible choice to let their 10-year-old play a violent shooter that will most certainly take advantage of their gullible minds. The kids aren't the ones being taken advantage of in this situation - it's the parents. And if parents would smarten up and give a thought as to what their children were watching and playing and learning, maybe the world would be a better place. I'm not disagreeing with you, Dobbins, but I think you're overreacting a little on this one.

By far my worst memory on Advanced Warfare and the worst decision I've made in my entire gaming career: Bought AW with season pass on XBone for early dlc expecting the game to be good, and bought it a SECOND time on PC to play with my friends on PC. I spent $170 on what I believe to be the worst modern game to be produced, possibly even on of the worst overall games in history.
