I think when people say they ‘don’t want politics’ in their games or media, I think they’re actually referring to not wanting identity issues in their game; race, gender, and sexuality. People won’t care if a story advocates against/for capitalism or socialism, but people will go up in arms if the main character is a black gay female. You notice this in every piece of media, the biggest ‘woke’ complaints are about the characters’ race/gender/sexuality. I’m not sure why people feel this way, myself included, but that’s what people actually mean when they say they ‘don’t like politics’ in games

If you're looking for the exact COD-style replica of RuneScape, it is Rust; same gunplay and first-person perspective as COD, but an open sandbox world with no rules, zero voice chat moderation or reporting, only small 'safe zones' compared to the massive map that is all PvP, limited resources requiring menial farming that can be lost instantly, base raiding/destruction, deep social interactions, deciding whether or not to trust players you don't know the intentions of, waging clan wars and battles; but I don't think anybody I know would call Rust a 'healthy' game haha (only if you can brush the setbacks off, otherwise it just devolves into addiction and the most toxic game of all time... you'd think a game like this would require good social skills, but most Rust players have the worst social skills of anybody I have ever met), but since playing it, I feel like I have no reason, drive, or desire to play COD ever again, Rust is so much better and more entertaining

I played Destiny before I had even heard of borderlands. A friend at work recommended borderlands. I played borderlands 2 for like 10 minutes and was like “wow…Destiny kinda sucks. It’s like when you’re thirsty and drink sparkling water. It’s ok, technically it hydrates you, but I’d rather just have regular water. And borderlands is like an ice cold gatorade pulled out of the ice chest while camping. Refreshing, amazing, flavorful”.

Halos' best days are definitely behind it. We just have to savor the memories of 04-09 and appreciate the masterpieces that Bungie gave us.

This video is still helping me. I had a moment while driving my brother home at night, after visiting my dad on monday. I cried silently while softly singing songs i have downloaded. So much unprocessed trauma ive accumulated in my 26 years of life. The smarter and indivudual is the more sad they are. Atleast for me. I felt noticably better after i got home, but i know it was simply the tip of the iceberg. I wish to spread more awareness of this phenom

Not only are the buying less full priced games, but the price of full priced games are in themselves rising, base price games are now usually 70$ instead of the 60$ it was back in the day. So less disposable income for more expensive base level games. The math isnt mathing

It's so arrogant to think that you understand a character better than the creators themselves. I hate that the focus of Chief's character in all of the 343 games and now the tv show are, "we need to give him his humanity back". He already had plenty of humanity in the Bungie era. It's such a surface level assumption that I constantly wonder why people find his arc so interesting in Halo 4. Something even more insulting is the undercutting of some of Bungie's original themes like that community post that said, "growing up is realizing that Spartans do die." Like no shit, the whole point of that phrase was to boost morale, not to say that they don't die. It's a clever connection because only the UNSC and us as the viewers realize this whereas humanity in the Halo universe are oblivious or are in desperate need of hope. What's worse is that season 2 came out and some people are treating it like the second coming of Jesus because he didn't lay pipe in the first 30 seconds. Season 2 misunderstands Halo just as much as the first season does, and has the gall to market itself as the fall of reach when said event happens off camera.
