It's funny to see someone targeting a pike and only catching trout. Where I live you cannot help but catch pike (or Walleye).

Dont think ive had a days fishing that good , good to see you getting excited at the end for the monster chub. Since there's a bit of pike fishing here , if anybody is getting into it do not buy bait at a tackle shop. Just go to a supermarket fish counter and get your bait for more than half the cost.

Great vid Graeme as I finally subbed to your channel after following you on TA Outdoors. I personally don't like eating fish however, I do enjoy catching and releasing them. I reside in northeastern Vermont and the fishing here is excellent for trout, salmon. bass, muskie, pike and many other species. Love your channel mate as we are about the same years early.

I loved these videos. . I looked to me like to you caught 2 different species of pike. . Are there more than 1 species of pike there .here in Michigan we only have the norther pike and then the musky . You seemed disappointed arching so many trout . Here trout like that are a,blessing. .I love fishing for the northern pike ..loved the video. Don't understand the chub celebration. I used them for pike bait. I love learning about the difference between countries and what we hold dear. Shout out from central michigan, love your channel a d videos.

Have you tried a tenkara rod before? It would be interesting to see how you do with it and it is super packable, even more-so than your pen rod. If you don't know what one is, it is basically a classic japanese rod that doesn't have a reel. It's just the rod and line and its fished similar to a fly rod.

I use dental rubber bands for holding on clams when surf fishing. They work like a charm. I get the rubber bands at my local drug store.

use gripz hooks they are like barbed hooks but don't harm the fish at all

When the fish are back biting.Everyone is having a pretty torrid time of it at present,and I reckon the shocking Cod fishing down South will put a lot of small boat anglers off until the Plaice start to show,maybe early March...That's if they show at all of course.
