Adventure Island III is an action-platformer video game in the Adventure Island series, developed and published by Hudson exclusively for the NES video game console. It was released on the Japanese market on July 31, 1992 and on the North American market in September 1992. It became the fifth of seven games in the series.
Like the previous games in the series released on the NES - Adventure Island and Adventure Island II, it is a two-dimensional platformer. In terms of gameplay, it is very similar to Adventure Island II.
