I found it incredibly interesting that while Bonnie made a mother, father and child, she didnt make them HER mother, father and sibling, but an Aunt, an Uncle and a cousin. She wanted family, but still made them detached from herself in a way.

"When the first candy people rose against her, she turned them into hideous monsters" HOLY SHIT the Banana Guard was talking about PBs family this entire time. of course its a simplified version but it makes sense as to why it would show Gumbald in prison. he basically was.

I think Aunt Lolly, Uncle Gumbald and cousin chicle were reflections of fragments of bonny's mind because she's wearing that mind thingie. Lolly representing her sweetness, Chicle representing her desire to be funny and widely loved. And Gumbald represents her general tyrant views. So i don't think Gumbald was ever "Copying" her rather, he is her, a part of her.

It's also interesting how Uncle Gumbald says "Come on, Bonnie. Don't run away from happiness. I'm going to fix you." when he attempts to directly poison Bonnie with the dumbing potion when he has her cornered. It immediately reminded me of a moment in Elements Skyhooks when Finn asks Tower Bubblegum what she did to everyone and she answers "I fixed them, obviously." I might be reaching here but I think it's possible that Uncle Gumbald, Cousin Chicle, and Aunt Lolly aren't just PB's creations, but rather "copies" of herself in different physical forms with the ability to think for themselves. I'm not saying they're PB doubles, but rather they all just share the same goals and ambitions as Princess Bubblegum. In the episode, little Bonnie does say "I need to be around people like me." And we did see PB hook herself up to the machine to bring her family to life. This shows that there's a part of little Bonnie in her relatives. This seems strongly apparent in Uncle Gumbald's character like what you pointed out about UG copying PB. But idk with Cousin Chicle and Aunt Lolly's characters since there's not enough material yet to see what they're like. But anyway, this is just a thought lol. I'm really excited for the future episodes of Adventure Time and what they could bring to enrich the show. I'm also looking forward to your future reviews of those episodes.

If you think about it the reason why PB found Finn "cute" and kept calling him so in the early seasons would be because Finn lacked intelligence when he was younger. He was a complete white knight for PB who never went against her, which is in line with how she micromanages the roles she assigns to her people as their jobs, spouses, and even dreams were all up to her in the early seasons. This also explains why she could never see anyone in a romantic light. She never had the opportunity to fantasize about romantic love as her ideals of familial love were shattered too early. Had Finn met a younger PB it might have been possible to change her outlook on love and loyalty, but as PB is now an adult she is far more resistant to change. As whenever she is met with new elements she only ever compromises after the fact. Her style is to break everything down to their simplest states and leaving only the bare minimum to continue to function. Like how she destroyed all but one fire giant, or how she allowed a voting session to take place, or how she leaves pills for all of her guests under the table, or how she allows suitors to line up outside her door, and the list goes on. This is very much in line with how she approached her powers. She leaves a last resort once she assures herself that it won't backfire and without letting any of them know that the last resort is ineffective against her. To PB everything in the world should be as predictable as the chemical reactions on her periodic table of candy. Any explosion or mutation can only really occur in a controlled environment. Emotions, memories, and convictions are all as pliable as... gum.

Bonnibel Bubblegum, one of the most complex and psychologically deep female characters in cartoon history. Definitely up there with Demona and Harley Quinn.

Well Bubblegum did successfully create Pep-But, who is quite intelligent, has quite the personality and even knows the way of the dark art.

One thing that wasnt mentioned was that no matter what, crunchy will be reverted back to his original form, as we see him in graybles 1000+.

Man, when you said that thing about Bubblegum realizing that all her creations are destined to turn against her, well I don't know how to finish this sentence. I just found that a *very* interesting observation.

One underrated moment in this episode for me was when Gumbald threatened to dumdum Neddy right after Bonnie, and Bonnie said "Don't you dare hurt my brother!" She was more worried about her brother's safety than her own in that moment.

I think the portraits in "The Duke" are just paintings that Bonnie made to feel less lonely rather than other real people

I think Gumbald more than just a petty imitator. I think he is combination of PB's inner demons. A dark reflection of her. He is has her drive of power and superority. Doing everything to stay in control. PB always distinguished herself as a necesserary evil in a world of chaos, but I think that persona will trully shatter when she realizes she is just as bad as gumbald.

How about that mind apparatus Bonnie used to transfer her... intelligence I guess... into the gums? Looked suspiciously similar to her current crown.

Lemongrab's story seems to relate to this, too. He was claimed to be the first in line of succession for being her first creation, but it looks like he might be the first after her "family"? First, she tries to create life that's similar to her, and they backstab her. Then, she tries to create life that's different. She fails, as he ends up mentally broken. So, she creates life that's like her, but not smart enough to backstab her.

I somewhat disagree with your statement about how all of her attempts at intelligent creations failed. I feel like evidence suggests that she's already moving away from making her citizens docile. Just look at that one banana guard. He has a different voice from all the others, and (though they all have talents) he seems to have a deeper understanding and awareness of history and his current situations than the other guards. Actually, over the course of the series, it seems like we're being introduced to more and more intelligent candy people. Which makes sense, given her evolution as a character.

I love the post apocalyptic things so this and the Simon and Marce origin and the farmland episodes

I loved this episode, it was so cool to see PB's backstory.

I'll never get the peeb haters. She's an evil character but she's a really good evil character.

I know Gumbald has been pretty seedy, but you can't blame him for wanting to make something of his own. That's what I liked about this episode; it wasn't generic good guy vs bad guy conflict, but political conflict driven by a need for power from both Gumbald and Bonnibel. This is a good episode to help close the series.

I think one interesting aspect on the taffy trees is that the actual event that occurred, as seen in this episode, differs slightly from what PB claimed happened in susan strong. in that episode, there were much more trees that got chopped down and they were much further from where the actual trees were in this episode. while that could have been a minor oversight, I sorta get the impression that PB made up this glorified history of what her uncle was actually like, since the true story would probably freak some of the candy people out. I certainly don't think she'd be behind masking darker elements of her past like that!

God, this episode was scary. Gumbald gives me chills, the way he wants to turn all the others into mindless obedient employees.

I'm surprised no one has said anything about how PB's crown looks just like the device that she used to create her "family." This could be symbolic of her role as a leader, as every citizen she creates is by her design, just like the others were.

Bonnie's line in Lady and Pebbles "I know a thing or two about building a body out of biomass and you don't leave your heart exposed" I think applies to herself as well, she is un-open to love because she locked her heart away because of Gumbald's betrayal, she pushes away any loving connection, including Marceline, Finn and Brocco.

Mother gum still exists, their still alive. In the adventure time Explore The Dungeon you meet a large mother gum at the end And Pb explains why she could break off from them.

I think it's easy to perceive bubblegum's deviation on Gumbald's plans as a ploy to maintain a sense of control, and to think of them as lesser to her, but she also calls them her family, and that is what I thought was meant to be the primary conflict of this episode. Bonnie just wants a family, while Gumbald wants a business. Even in that clip, she says the candy people are like her children. They're dumber than her because she wants to take care of them, not take advantage of them like Gumbald would.

There is something interesting about the candy Sphinx creature I forget what its name was. And I began to notice it in all of her creations. Not just because they are all part candy and she is the candy Elemental. I get the feeling that she's not metaphorically but quite literally putting parts of herself into all of these citizens every candy being out there. And part of the reason it hurts so much to see everything go bad for her and why she so desperately wants to dumb it all down is because they really do have a part of her in them. They want to be in control and they want to rule. The first words out of her mouth when the candy stinks went bad and she was made aware... "I was afraid of this" She saw it coming. She knows she has problems but there's some level of cognitive dissidents, she doesn't want to acknowledge that she is tyrannical even though she knows it. Every time one of her Creations goes bad, she's forced to look into the mirror and see that she is the problem.

I too love all the implications this episode provides. What I'm most curious about is how the Earl of Lemongrab plays into all this. For the longest time I could have sworn Bubblegum said he was the first of her creations. I just rewatched his backstory, and I was mistaken; he was the first of her creations *to go wrong.* Ok, so cancel that. But why is he next in line to the throne? He must have been one of her earliest attempts at making a Candy Person, if not the first one post-Gumbald's betrayal. I think something that lends credence to this is the fact that if you look at Bubblegum creating him, the life serum she uses look suspiciously like the dumb dumb juice. Same sort of faded red but not quite pink. Maybe she had second thoughts about making all her citizens dummies and wanted her first attempt to be a sort of compromise. The "failure" of Lemongrab would have cemented her original decision. So Lemongrab would be in line for the throne because he was the first Candy Person Bonnie created AS a Candy Person, the original trio not counting.

My thoughts were always that bc Neddie had such a scary fall from the mother gum, all the others became too afraid to drop, which would make the darker option of them all dying away where they were born more plausible. After all, we know Bonnie has lived for ages upon ages, I feel like if even one of them had also split, they would have run into each other at some point in time. Marcy had time to be in a relationship with Bonnie, break up, travel the world, and return! So another gum sibling who also split would've had time to find Bonnie and Neddie. Because the implication is that Bonnie was the very first one to drop, any others who wanted to would have known about her existence already. I also always thought that she literally manufactured her gum relatives, but now that you say it, it makes sense that she might've used her dead relatives to create them, bc she tells Finn "he was the first of my creations gone wrong" regarding Lemongrab. So maybe she really did use her dead relatives

I know that the Season 6 croak dream pretty much already came to fruition, but I feel like this episode gave more layers to that dream. I'm specifically referring to when Bonnie is swallowed up by the Butterscotch lake, and instead of being a visual symbol it also takes on new meaning after learning she created it to ensure the future of her kingdom. It's really a simple way of showing her actions to remain in power coming back to bite her and ultimately consuming her. Now that Gumbald's connection to the lake's creation has been revealed, it wouldn't surprise me if this was some sort of extension of the original croak dream. After all Jake had his 3 seasons before it came to fruition, and even though I'm pretty sure PB's dream was specifically linked to the season 6 finale, I could see themes from that premonition being carried over into this final arc.

If I remember right, they actually go into what happened to the Mother Gum in one of the video games, Pendelton Ward has also confirmed that the game in question is canon

Anyone else kinda surprised that all candy people live forever? I thought she just kept making more candy people as old ones get old but apparently at least crunchy, punchy and the piñata have been around for ‘like 800 years’. Kinda weird

I want to ask you one question on this episode's ending. Do you think they missed an opportunity to make Uncle Gumbald the one to become Crunchy? I mean it just seems like the better connection than him becoming Punchy. We have spent more time getting to know Crunchy. Like you said he tried to take over the candy kingdom twice. On top of that it would make the missing poster of Crunchy seen on the wall in “Son of Rap Bear” all the more foreshadowing. Yeah it is still foreshadowing that Crunchy is no longer Crunchy, and that Bonnibel’s relatives are back, but since Gumbald is the one of the 3 relatives we know it just feels like they set up the wrong person becoming Crunchy. Crunchy was even the candy person Bonnibel used to try and get Lemongrab to understand candy people. Which makes sense, considering she probably based the other candy people on the mindset of Manfried, Punchy, and Crunchy, but would have had more meaning if the final villian was PB’s version of the ideal candy person. Unless Chicle turns out to be a bigger villain than Gumbald… which I doubt. Let me know what you think curious about your thoughts on this.

The more I continue to watch your reviews and discussions about these shows that I love, the more I know you'd love Bojack Horseman if you got past the first few episodes and finished season 1. Steven universe had that same problem of being not that good of a show at the start, but both make amazing turns for the better. Bojack is so amazing, and I want you to experience all the joy, sadness and depth that show has to offer.

I love how the gas station was such an important part of the story without even being obvious until later in the series, and even afterwards in the “finisher spin-off” for the plot holes or missing history (separate from the plot holes). Marceline and her mother had been to that gas station probably around the same time as PB, making them closer in age than I originally thought (because PB’s Mother Gum most likely came into existence shortly after the War, and PB was born from it shortly after). I wish the Obsidian spin-off shows what happened to all the original Gums and if they still exist in their own cities around the globe. Would be great.

I've always just assumed the factory that spawned the mother gum was a German based candy company.

I love i am not the only one who realized Bonnie's fear of her creations always turning against her and resulting in a mess again makes a lot of sense and i love how you noticed all the callbacks too but you actually forgot one .... in Lemonhope part 2 we actually get to see Gumbald's candy city and ships with a G on them, meaning Gumbald is the one responsible for the catastrophe in Ooo that will make ot deserted in 1000 years.

One has to remember that despite its mediocricy, Adventure Time: Explore The Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW! is actually still canon according to Pendelton Ward, so the mother gum still existed up until the moment Finn, Jake, Marceline and Cinnamon Bun found and seemingly slayed the mother gum. We know that the mother gum dispersed into tiny gum bubbles in the end. Unless before the end of the series this gets disproven by the series it will remain canon.

We do see crunchy again in the future, episode Graybels 1000 plus, when cuber uses a candy capsule to block the laser gun. Crunchy wakes up and asks “ what time is it”? That must mean at least cousin chicle was reverted to candy form. I feel like the 3 relatives split up and all went their separate ways after LSP reverted them to gum form. I don’t think they feel happy or safe near uncle gumbald after what he did. Though we do see a city/ apartments in Lemonhope part 2 that uncle gumbald always wanted to build. I wonder what the tragic future holds?

Oh my glob, I loved these episodes so much! There were so many easter eggs that referenced small details from very early episodes that I just absolutely adored. This was definitely my favorite from the set of episodes that they released recently.

i really wanted to see bonnie dealing with that need for control a bit more. like marceline deals with her anger in obsidian

I hope Cinnamon Bun with play a role in the finale arc. He was made with the "Dum Dum Juice" but has grown to be a smart being. It would be cool to see how that all plays out.

Oh Damn. You've got a great point on the depth this brings to PB's character/psyche. I wonder if that's why she and Marcy broke up, or became casual, or whatever....PB was a bit of a control freak, and Marcy didn't have good experiences with those. It would make sense that PB would want to date someone who she felt safe with; who wouldn't betray her. Perhaps Marcy's rebellious nature enticed PB because it highlighted Marcy's Individuality. Simultaneously, Perhaps Marcy's rebellious nature reminded PB of her consistent betrayals by her children, and once friend shoko, as well as those of the surrounding kingdoms, and raiding guilds (as have been reoccurring from shoko's old guild to gunter, to ice king, to lemongrab, his eventual "twin", and even other princesses) Perhaps that's why she was open to dating fin when their bodies were of the same biological age. He wasn't someone who has or who would ever betray her. He even supports her when he's not entirely sure of the morality of the situation. He's also willing to ground her morally without stepping on her toes. He's capable and caring, yet competent as well, so that distinguishes him from the people she surrounds herself with. He's able to charmingly show his care for her, and can understand what she says. He might not be a scientist, but she can actually talk to him, and he'll retain some of the information and might ask questions about it. On the other hand, Marcy comes from a place of family pressure, and perhaps even family abuse (I'm not entirely sure how nightosphere/demon culture works). Her father took her fries when she was young, has caused devastation to the lands through soul sucking, and tried to brainwash her to become ruler of the nightosphere. She moved out from his home dimension, and changed their family symbol (The battle axe into an axe guitar) in rebellion of him and his values. Her mother seems to be out of the picture, meaning he had all the control of the family, likely for a long while through her later childhood/adolescence. Marceline seems to have lost many people in her life, despite her efforts to take care of them, including her stubborn father. Other examples include the people around her going insane (simon/ice king), people moving away (the Hyumans when they escaped on the boat in steaks), and having bunk friends (the ghosts who tried to kill fin and jake in early seasons, as well as her ex who sold her childhood doll hambo to a witch). Marcy also wants someone who makes her feel safe, but also self reliant. She likely wants to date someone she doesn't have to take care of. That's probably why she wanted to date the immortal, brilliant, *Princess* Bubblegum, who didn't report to anyone, and who had the ability and history to take care of herself and those around her. Perhaps Princess Bubblegum's controlling, and sometimes uptight, personality drove her away. I also suspect that having to take care of fin is one of the many reasons she didn't want to date fin. He's mortal, and the last time she dealt with humans, she had to protect an entire group of them from wicked strong vampires that were hunting them. All it would take is for fin to make one mistake, and get himself in too deep, which he has done before. Some of the time, fin gets out of situations through luck, such as with the hall of egress, or the time he manipulated flame princess to fight Ice King. She wouldn't get enough out of the relationship to justify taking care of someone who's species is considered prey by half of the creatures in the land of Ooo. Intersting....

Eh are you sure retcons is the right term? I mean for some of then yes but like Mr Creampuff it doesn´t really change or cotnradicts what it was said, we just learn the circunstances behind it. Guess your point is that what was a one line joke in the first episode now has a bit more somber meaning with bonnie basically joking about a bad time (unless she DID keep dating mr creampuff for a while =P) but I don´t know, retcon still doesn´t feel like the right term, I wouldn´t use it is what I´m saying. Good video btw.

PB is truly one of the most fascinating characters ever. She’s not like Finn and Jake, wanting to be the righteous hero, and she’s not like Marceline, whose traumatic past is often reflected in her behavior. PB is so rational about things, she’s always thinking ahead, she’s always doing whatever it takes to stay in control and get what she wants. I don’t find her evil in the slightest, but I do think she carries more trauma in her than all of the other characters put together.

I realised the Mother Gum kind of looks like human remains with two skeletal human legs coming off the left side besides the four pieces on the right side attaching it to the building, this makes wonder if the Mother Gum is actually the Candy Elemental guy shown later on before the great mushroom war mutated or some type of Candy Elemental incarnation that later mutated which spawns Bonnie, Neddy and others

i literally just dreamt i was watching this review cos ive been spamming refresh for the past few days.... congratulations elkie, i only usually get dreams like that when new episodes are released... (spoiler warning: you liked it more here than in the dream) also! i'll try to shed some light on some of your theories: --i doubt we'll see the true fate of the mother gum... in ETDBIDK, we discover it's at the bottom of her lab, but it's expanding rapidly, and the player character literally... murders it at the end of the game, despite bonnie's increasingly violent efforts to prevent you from reaching it.. it turns into millions of bubbles and ascends through the dungeon into the clouds. the game is in some sort of void in canon, as it's meant to take place before lemongrab eats his twin or finn and fp break up, but that happens before finn even finds out PB isn't just 19. -maybe bonnie and neddy were literally the only ones interested in leaving it? i wonder about this a lot after watching this ep. it seemed like a very warm and happy place while bonnie and neddy experienced pain as soon as they left, but they are like pioneers :P sadly i doubt the show will cover more relatives. so i'll assume theyre candy people or retcons. fuck, they may even be more "heirs". -OH. the gum she made, there's a "goo converter" in the background that's filled with pink candy. i think it's synthetic from radioactive goo! also it might not be gum at all? either way it goes along with the idea of life being reborn from the destitute wasteland, one way or the other. i love this episode cos of what it says about bonnie's character, about how we can clearly see her child self becoming the highly controlling person she is today..."i've been my own boss my whole life".... and the bitterness at the end, the moment she adopted the role of Princess, it paints a picture of the candy kingdom being the result of a child's escapist fantasy... a lonely kid in the apocalypse starts playing a game with life, ends up taking it *too seriously*, and never really grows up... this must have seemed INSANE to people like Marceline, or it would if Marcie even knew about her origins, which she doesnt appear to in either game or show. anyway im not surprised bonnie's a little crazy what with all the crap she went through. nobody sat her down and said, "kid, you can't just create people and tell them to serve certain roles. Talking of Marceline and family, I love how the ep quietly highlights that Bonnie does indeed have a family now... it's not the people you create, but the people who come to you for who you are.... despite everything shes done, her friends have her back, and it'll likely continue that way for the rest of the series. at least she got a happy ending. sort of. still waiting on that graybles apocalypse shit

I've always had some trouble with Princess Bubblegum's moral choices as well as her personality, but for the most part I've always let it slide. But after this episode... I kinda hate her. She actually made me angry here, although that's just personal reasons. I just hate what a hypocrite she is. She creates life, gives it an identity with independent thoughts, emotions and aspirations; basically what some people would call a soul. But she always expected them to be subservient to her, just because she made them. It's just another story of an arrogant person playing God. And when they turn against her and plan to lobotomize her, a plan that utterly horrifies her, she decides that it's okay for her to do it as well. Just create life you presumably love and respect, as long as it doesn't contradict you. That's like expecting your children to obey to your every command just because you made them; "you came out of my womb/dick; you don't get to think for yourself!". I just hate that mentality, and in general, people who strip away others from their individualism, specially if they actually use chemistry or surgery to accomplish it. I really have no respect left for Bonnie. However, I don't think she's a bad character, because I believe the series is trying to portray her as this. This isn't some amazing discovery I've made; the series pretty much spelled this out to me as well as the rest of the audience. Her character is very complex because of this, although I'm not sure whether the show expects us to sympathize with her plight or to despise her. I know that I do the latter.

I'm glad there are people like you who pick apart a show's episodes. Man you made this episode deeper than I initially thought.

PBs gum family each have parts of herself. Chicle has a desire to be loved, Lolly shows her desire to be a genuinely nice person, and Gunbald shows PBs controlling side.

PB in the end is just a really lonely child that built a fantasy around her and realized too late how bad it became. Shes a good person but for a long time, she used her fears and insecurities to hurt others. Glad things ended up getting better

i just watched a video exploring what the mother gum was and apparently there is a canon video game that explains what happened to the mother gum. PB moved the mother gum into the castles basement an it disintegrated into gum bubbles after you are forced to fight it.

In 9:14 you can see Bonnibel's Advisior's as they are candy people, what seemed to happen is that when all three had the DumDum Juice LSP had them reverted back to their original form and therefore we see Bonnibel's Uncle return in the Pink Suit. Thus more likely all three are alive and are roaming around the land of Ooo or one of them have died, that being said. In my conclusion, Bonnibel's Uncle, Cousin and Aunt are alive and either want to seek revenge on the Candy Kingdom and want to turn everything in their image!

In young Bonnie's lab there is a candy corn rat in a cage that looks awfully like science. Is it possible that PB created science before her gum relatives as one of her initial experiments into creating intelligent candy life? That would explain why science is way smarter than the regular dum dum juice based candy people.

I was checking diligently for this video because I know it would be awesome. It was well worth the wait! Thanks for all the insight, Uncivilized Elk!

My theory is that most all other kingdoms were created by Bonnie, hence why she seems to crave control over them and why she tried to force control over the fire kingdom (a kingdom she didn't create). If you look at the other kingdoms, they are all eerily similar to experiments or past creations of Bonnies, in fact many are food or sweets based like Breakfast Kingdom, Wildberry Kingdom, HotDog Kingdom, and even Slime! I think that she eventually grew bored with an individual kingdom and made others, or she made creatures that eventually became Princesses of their own... The main proof of this... Lemongrab. She seemed fine letting Lemongrab become it's own kingdom, gave them means to build more and populate, and also kept tabs. One exception being that there is no Princess, except you could argue that's because Lemongrab was insane and she wouldn't give that power to a crazy person. Also, I don't think ALL were made by her... just a bunch of the more obvious ones. I'm sure Ice Kingdom, Fire, Ghost, and those types were their own thing and maybe even sprouted up as a result of her influence like Elk stated. They saw the rising number of Kingdoms lead by Princesses (probably because PBB had a bad experience with a Man taking charge, and decided to put Women in control.) and followed suit. Lastly, one of the big pieces of evidence is the intelligence and motivation for each ruler. If you look at the Princess meetings, most are content to "Play Princess" and follow PBB's rule and are subservient and often kinda dumb such as Slime Princess, HotDog... kinda goofy and lack motivation beyond status quo. Princess Bonnie has control over nearly all kingdoms with the exception of a few, such as the Fire Kingdom. Which makes sense because she didn't create them, they have their own lore, history, laws, and culture and previously were a Monarchy with a King. If you look at the few kingdoms that aren't food, candy, or seem based on crazy experiments, she has trouble controlling those kingdoms. I think a good way to tell if Bonnie created or is responsible for the creation of a kingdom is to look at a few things. 1. Is it food, candy, or experiment based? 2. How is her relationship with the ruler, and is it a Princess? 3. Do they have their own culture or history? For example, let's try Lumpy Space. 1. No, Lumpy Space is it's own dimension. 2. Sketchy, she is on good terms with LSP but we never see her meet the truth rulers the King and Queen of LS. 3. Yes. Lumpy culture is very different and almost suburban in nature. So LS was not created by PBB. That's just my theory and headcanon until proven otherwise. I hope you guys like it, feel free to add to it or rip it apart.

This episode was my favorite of the last ones that came out. Excellent review, I will have to watch it again to catch all the details! Do you guys think there will be a PB miniseries? I only ask because the season is structured the same way as the others and she is the only main character left without a major plot story, but considering there are only 12 episodes left, it seems like it's going in PBs direction. I dont think that the signs being german is a coincidince because PB speaks german several times thru out the series . I think where the candy kingdom is located used to be germany or austria so the natives of that part of ooo learned german from the human leftover books , signs , recorded tapes and cds or even humans who survived the first decades of the mushroom war So most of the natives of that part of ooo knoes and speaks german Thats my theory

I know their conflict is inevitable, but I do wonder if they would get along better if PB gave Gumbald more autonomy by settling with compromises...

The word 'complicity' graffiti-ed onto the stealth bomber also foreshadows , the relationship PB exhibits with her 'family' later on in the episode, she almost seeks for everyone around her to be complicit to her will, just like how they are in the candy kingdom.
