To be fair the fight trigger would have been many more as well, 2 for the first one then 4 more and another 6 for the last one, since they trigger for each other creature entering the battlefield.

Volo is pretty good! And Justin really had a strong life gain strategy going as well! Also ya'll should dedicate a small mini episode every few weeks or at the end of every season just to share all the point screens that have come in through the season and accumulated so far, can be to re-cap what has happened so far in the season and just to go back through memory lane of the season.

I, for one, am very excited for the new ruleset of Commander VS where Simic is banned, only 2 lands can come into play in a single turn and there is a limit in rares. It is odd that Jeremy would only dissent to the newly proposed Mythic Rare limit, but what can you do?

That Thorn Mammoth resolution was painful. It should have gone like this: Twinning Staff copy (A) enters, fights 2 things Volo copy (B) enters, fights 2 things A sees B enter, fights 2 things Original (C) enters, fights 2 things A sees C enter, fights 2 things B sees C enter, fights 2 things totalling up to 12 fights for the mammoths rather than the 6 you did. And meaning the sequencing of what Jeremy was targeting could have removed things in the proper order such that none of his mammoths died (not even taking into account that the -X/-X from the Grim Hireling can only be done at sorcery speed).

@@GuyrillaBraun 100%. In the immortal words of Monica Geller: "Rules help control the fun!" On a serious note, they're posting the game on the internet for "the world's largest MtG store" in SCG's words, so they should be an example of good, clean (clean in the sense of easily understandable and per the rules) gameplay. I'm not saying they're not allowed to misplay or get stuff wrong, but it's scenarios like this where the editing of a show like Game Knights really outshines the Commander VS series in terms of being a resource for people to follow and learn about new commanders and game interactions, and being clear about a complicated stack like this is super important for people still getting to grips with the game.

Sadly Volvo does not work with shapeshifter tribal. If a single shapeshifter is in the graveyard, then Volo's effect will not work. You will have to find a creature of a different tribal for each card.

Somewhat correct. You can play cards to control your own graveyard. Scrabbling Claws and Crook of Condemnation are decent examples. These allow you to use the archetype effectively.

ultimatley it doesnt matter as its as the trigger is "up to" but when the 3 mammoths enter isnt it alot more fight triggers the first mammoth to enter gets 2 standard fights, then wehn the other mammoth enters that gets 2 fights and the panharmonican trigger would give the first mammoth 2 more fight triggers right? taking us to 6 and then when the 3rd enter it gets 2 and the other 2 get 2 each taking it to 12 total?

Confirmed the math I did before coming here, pretty sure that's correct! It's not hard to resolve a stack properly, not sure why they just try to shortcut it and then get all confused. Stephen tried to get the group in order and Justin just trampled over him and asserted his ignorance confidently.

First thorn mammoth to resolve gets 6 total triggers, second gets 4, the last gets 2 because each will trigger as the others etb

@@shesgard37 first. Has to be on the battlefield to get the extra triggers. Resolve order is mammoth 1 resolves, 2 fights. 2 resolves and triggers both 1 and 2 and get 2 fights each. 3 resolves triggering 1,2 and 3 giving them each 2 fights

Not saying that the customer has no say in this. I'm saying people complaining that they don't like watching someone playing in the game that they are choosing to watch is kind of like choosing to eat at a restaurant and saying the food sucks. No one forces people to watch this and as they've said in the show, they do what they want. As far as mistakes and missed triggers go, it happens and no one is hurt because of it. Not to mention, I'm sure it's harder to do this over Webcam than in person.

Ok first off, the game was cool and there a lot of cool things happened. That being said..... Wow isn't it crazy that the person who had an un paid for rhystic studies won the game? And he played 0 card draw spells, so if the studies WAS paid for, he would have had no cards in hand and done nothing? It's almost like rhystic studies says "if your opponents don't pay the 1, you will win the game". Honestly, the only thing that makes rhystic studies a good card is players refusing to pay for it. Otherwise it would be an eh card at best. Guys, please PLEASE pay one for your rhystic studies.

To add: even when they have ten cards in hand, drawing more cards for free still makes it easier for them to win the game.

@@Awesomesausages But he only had 10 in hand BECAUSE of the rhystic studies. That and Sad robot were the only cards that had the words "draw a card" that he played. And he had a full grip constantly.

@@matthugenberg8869 Yeah, I'm aware :) Like I said, was just adding to the argument, not disagreeing at any point. Justin used cards in hand as a reason to not pay for it, which is another Rhystic Studies trap people fall into all the time, which only makes the issue with Rhystic Studies EVEN worse. The RS player is already ahead, so people think it's okay to put them MORE ahead.... why. It's maddening. Pay the one.

It bothers me how many weeks someone plays a Rhystic Study or Smothering Tithe and that thing just sits on the table the entire game. There really needs to be some more interaction in these decks, I think.

Really do enjoy the deck lists and the overall power levels of said decks, but I find myself losing interest quickly once I see multiple misplays happening. I'm used to the few happening every now and again because we are all human and I do it myself, but I'd like to see someone in the background be some sort of checker for the guys playing at the table to keep the show quality going.

Exactly. All the stealing of cards and constantly making misplays has made me want to watch less. He attempted to show off having the game won already and it was still not going to work the way he wanted...(pretty sure the copies off Volo don't double from with Doubling Season/Esix etc.)
