That's one awesome setup there bro! 12 hours of constant burn time is impressive indeed! The ability to maintain consistent heat, make meals, coffee, etc... without having to mess around with adding wood frequently is definitely a winner any day! 👍 Hope 2024 brings you all the best man! I’m really liking your content. It’s informative and relaxed. I also don’t feel as bad building a collection of heaters like yours to get to the perfect setup. I bought the Furndoor you reviewed and loved it. I’m watching you work out the kinks to this one and can imagine this will be next on the list. Especially now that it has the large hopper. I like the large cooking surface. You take the guesswork out of these products. Thank you very much! (Yes, I laughed at high of 69 too! You kept it in the video 😄) Happy New Year! Check to see what credit card will be best for what site. Buy it and the stuff I want to go with it. Go out and split wood for it and go to the store and buy pellets for it. After I find the best deal on pellets. THEN! When it shows up, I have to explain to my wife that you talked me into it, because we need it for our survival gear. Congrats Greg on winning. Happy New Year Chris! I’m grabbing some pellets for my little solo stove from now on. It eats too much wood too quickly. Any good brands of pellets you’d suggest? Any crappy ones to avoid?
@AdventureswithSpackmann
@AdventureswithSpackmann 7 ай бұрын
Never really pay attention to the brands of pellets, usually just go for the cheapest ones. Happy new years bro! Pellets burn super quick in a solo stove too. You can try to restrict the air from the bottom of the burn chamber and see if that decreases the rate of burn. Thanks for watching

it looks like you could get tropical heat with that thing!! is there room left for people after it's assembled? that hopper might not be attached for safety, like you said, in case it gets knocked over it doesn't take down the entire set up...? @bendennis8773
@bendennis8773 7 ай бұрын
I really like the idea of pellets for a hot tent but this one is odd as it vents the air through the hopper for the burner. Most things with pellets seal up the hopper to prevent burn back into the hopper. With this design you have to make sure you have a tall enough chimney and you might have to start a fire first to get the draft started. I like the pellets but i dont like this design.
@AdventureswithSpackmann
@AdventureswithSpackmann 7 ай бұрын
I don’t think it vents air through the hopper for the burner. It sucks air from the burner and the air intake from the stoves burn box. It’s definitely a different design but not my first that has an open hopper and I too thought it should be sealed at first. Thanks for watching
@scottsmith6643
@scottsmith6643 7 ай бұрын
I hope I didn't miss it in the video, if mentioned but if pellets are unavailable for whatever reason, can this thing still function, with or without (logically, without, I guess) the hopper? Great video! Cheers
@AdventureswithSpackmann
@AdventureswithSpackmann 7 ай бұрын
You didn’t miss it. Without the pellet attachment it’s a rocket stove. There is a thick metal plate that is there usually and you need to take that off to add the attachment. So yes you burn normal wood if you don’t have the attachment. Glad you enjoyed, cheers and thanks for watching
