Primary care is definitely the way to go Shanan. They will definitely advocate for you if you find a good one. I was skeptical of my new one but he proved himself and advocates hard.

Please take care of yourself Shannon. Dizziness is a common symptom of uncontrolled high blood pressure/hypertension. Don't mean to scare you but this can lead to passing out and becoming injured. High blood pressure can damage blood vessels in the ear, which can lead to dizziness because the inner ear helps maintain balance, and that dizziness can also be an early warning sign of a stroke. Glad you went to the doctor right away. I don't like medication either but it can be a good kickstart to get it under control while you learn how to incorporate foods into your diet that help regulate your BP. Limit high sodium and processed/canned foods. A diet that's rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and low-fat dairy products can help. And lots of water. Also, emergency rooms legally cannot deny you care. Some urgent cares will, but many will still take you but will let you know they don't accept your insurance meaning you'd have to pay in full out of pocket. But who wants that.

Cheyenne, such a good tip for parents of children with unseen medical conditions and even adults who struggle. I hope people take the idea to put a photo of letters like that on all phones and give to the schools as well in case an emergency happens. My youngest sister has a seafood allergy and never remembers to tell restaurants about it so I always have to remind her whenever I’m around like it’s dangerous not to say something.

Ladies you all look beautiful. Has R been on vacation lately, she's looking tanned. Shannon sending you prayers and healing❤. I see soo much of Baaz in R and soo much of Ryder in Cheyenne.

That’s so smart Cheyenne and I bet a lot of moms with kids like Ryder don’t think about carrying that around. They definitely become robotic in a sense after a while. And Shanan, a primary care is the way to go. They will advocate for you when you can’t if you find a good one.

I’m so sorry Shanan. This makes me so sad. Please don’t feel bad that you’re heavy. You have every right to give off whatever you need to. This is grief and there are no right ways to handle it. Just continue to take care of yourself and family the best you can.

I pay a lot too and I work in corporate America and my last company had way cheaper insurance. It is crazy! Now, I have to find out what your insurance is like before taking a new job because if the salary increase isn’t enough to account for the differences in insurance it might not make sense.

I normally have ppo but changed to hmo in my year of transition and I hate it. I do not' like paying that ppo bill but it truly makes a difference. I'm working to get back on a ppo plan.

Foods high in potassium will lower pressure like avocado and spinach. Also, breathing from diaphragm will lower blood pressure.

Insurance is a scam at this point 😂. My daughter fractured her wrist so we pay the little co-pay at Urgent Care cool. Next day we go to the specialist to see if she needed a cast because urgent care could only tell it was fractured. Anyway, the lady says your insurance is covering because you’ve met your deductible so I’m like oh cool. Lady then says but they don’t cover water proof casts (never asked if I needed waterproof by the way) and was like that’ll be $560 and in my mind I’m like $5.60 but nope 😂. Anyway all that insurance for them to not cover waterproof casts for CHILDREN!

like at all? What is healthcare system like in the UK?
@elizeknowles
@elizeknowles 16 күн бұрын
@@ThinkLoudCrew Yes we have the NHS which is free, you may have to pay for prescriptions here and there depending on your circumstances but everything else is free. Obviously they overwork the staff at times and they don’t get paid enough really though and there’s definitely still an issue like black women having to advocate for themselves during childbirth like you mentioned.

Urgent care are private businesses they have no obligation to see you. ER’s cannot deny you care.

Sadly, if you can’t afford healthcare then a midwife will be out of reach for most women. This is why bias training is so important for people in all fields because they need to understand the issues with the ways different ethnic groups are impacted and treated.

Idk Cheyenne, keep your PPO because your family has a thyroid history so you will need to be able to choose your doctor. It’s sad but some of these doctors already don’t care about us, so we need choice.
