I’ve read all the books, including a couple of prequels including blood and fire. Recently I discovered a BEAUTIFUL large 1lb hardcover fully illustrated and context giving book. It describes everything from the beginning of the world, construction of the wall, “the others” aka white walkers etc. it goes on to fully and beautifully illustrate every page. It’s made to look like and is written by an archmaester. It’s called the world of ice and fire hardcover. It’s expensive but great for any fan of the books and lore.

Not all dragon riders died at Valyria, as some of them were out of Valyrian peninsula. However, Aenar Targeryen was the only one apparently who understood how serious the doom was and that there was no recovering of anything valuable in Valyria. Other dragonlords though weren't as wise, like Aurion, "emperor of valyria", who tried to reclaim "what was his" by flying his dragon ahead of an army of 30 000 men to Valyria. And they vanished all without a trace.

Didn't GRRM say "the door" the reveal of Hodor came from him, that it was one of the reveals by George himself that they talked about & something they used that came from George? I think we will see it in the books

@@ahsancurrimbhoy Yes she did actually. The writers just never included in the books cause they wanted to erase her importance about knowing of the Others aka NightKing and his armies.
