A dobro is a guitar which is made of steel and wood - there is a round steel plate in the middle of the body. It is used by blues musicians and has a bright trebly sound - often played with a bottleneck on the finger for slide guitar.

This is the type of dobro that he was talking about. It has a flat back neck that you play horizontally on your lap rather than vertically, and you play it with something that is called a “steel”, which a steel bar, rather than some dobros that you play vertically just as you with a regular guitar with a slide on a finger (usually your pinky). So good. This band with there song “Sweet home Alabama” This is the State anthem, but more than that it represents a lot of the pride of the south of America. If you’ve never reacted to that song it is not just a suggestion but a must to really get a grasp of southern rock. I put that in there because this band is so tight and has so many songs that are just well written with a fantastic band. But that song Sweet home Alabama is the legendary song of the band and the country. Yes the United States it is well heard throughout….. Thanks Fay 😊❤️❣️
