@@belchmelch Patrick Graham is one of the smartest DCs in the NFL. We have ONE single pro bowl level player on D (Maxx), the rest are outcasts, leftovers, backups elsewhere, and a rookie (Wilson) tossed into the mix because the other starting DE went nuts (Chandler). But the DC has to follow the plan of the HC, and it's hard to tell who wanted what. PG doesn't always make the best decision, no coach does. Look at the Rams game last year. He later had to admit he called for press man on that last TD because he didn't believe Baker could throw such a pass, but he did, and in retrospect it was a bad defensive play call. But I think PG is one coach who has a keen ability to adapt and grow, as much as any coach in the NFL, and I can see him as a HC one day.

@jayfairman3570 3-5 they're still in it. In case you missed it the chargers are more skitzso than a model in LA and Denver isn't making up that huge deficit, so if the Raiders can go 8-1, 7-2 they would have a chance , a slim chance but better than nothing

I was born & raised in upstate NY. Became a diehard Raider fan in ‘79-80. Guess I didn’t know my geography but this was back in the days of Sistrunk & Matusak & the mad stork & Hayes with the stickum. Watched Pastorini break his leg & Plunkett come in…….here I am waxing nostalgic…..Anyway, my step-Father entered my life in ‘83 as a rabid, old-school NY football Giants fan. By the time Scott Norwood went wide right in spite of the fact that my blood runs silver & black I started rooting for the Giants as my NFC team. So yeah, I dig your comment but Go Raiders!!!!!!

I really like this choice at coach. He really reminds me of Rich B. He is a regular guy that is for everyone and allows them to be them. That’s something Al Davis always did. He’s genuine and I’m actually excited for this team and confident in this team for the first time in awhile.

I was a young kid watching Marcus Allen run over the Skins in that Super Bowl victory. Been diehard ever since. Lot of heartaches along the way, more valleys than peaks over that past 40 years. But if this coach can carry out what we're all hoping, this could be a blessing in the midst of chaos for us fans. Let's hope AOC and Co. can churn out some home wins and get this ship moving!
