I am as impressed as I have ever been with an NFL owner with Mark Davis consulting his players before taking out the wrecking ball. Most of those guys on the Raiders offense and defense are veterans. They know what's wrong and how to fix it - except for perhaps the parts the need to be replaced. As in O-line. Jimmy G is a sharp guy. Let him rest, and give him a headset. As much as anybody left on the team, he knows what O'Connell can do, and I see Garropolo as great mentor material...

Mark has had 8 coaches in 12 years. Number 9 starts next fall. This is INSANE level dysfunctional.

Antonio brings nothing new to the Raiders traditional brand of football which is why he has been installed as the acting Head Coach. Raider football is all about acting out on the defensive side (penalties) and long ball on the offensive side. Modern defensive and offensive mind sets are not part of the Raider playbook. Al was all about picking out players who didn't fit anywhere else and played rough and tough. Antonio talks the Raider talk and now he gets a shot at being a head coach but it does nothing to advance the franchise football IQ. The LA Black Hole Fan Base went into an uproar over the lack of long balls and the attempt to install a different style offensive scheme. The move to LV and building a new stadium is about spending money they don't have and keeping the stands full is critical not just for revenue but bringing in out of town fans for the local Casio's which was always part of the deal.

Mark Davis needs to pack his bags, save face and sell the team to an actual competent owner! That’s what needs to happen to the Raiders!!!

Unattractive? Heck, being a HC for LV is a great deal. Work a couple of years and get paid millions for a few more years after you're let go. Get 6-10 years pay for 2-4 years work. Thats a deal no matter what job it is.

Antonio Pierce is going to get 1 and only 1 chance to be an NFL head coach. Since his fine days as a player, he has been a complete DUMPSTER FIRE at the high school, college, and pro levels as a coach. Not for 1 or 2 years. 9 YEARS of awfulness. All facts, and here are the receipts: - Drove his car with Plexico Burress to Latin Quarter Nightclub in 2008 when Burress shot his own leg (took a full year for Pierce to be cleared of charges) - The whole ordeal contributed to his ultimate release by the New York Giants in 2010 and led to subsequent retirement. - Took the reins of a powerhouse CA high school team in 2014 and managed to miss the playoffs for the first time in 36 years during season 2, and then got blown out in the playoffs in 2016 and 2017. He wound up resigning to save further embarrassment. Simply bad coaching once the former coach's players were gone. - Went to Arizona State University in 2017; after only 2 years as linebackers coach (sound familiar???), he was moved up the ranks to defensive coordinator and associate head coach. Herm Edwards made these fateful decisions. - In 2021, he recognized as the RINGLEADER of an illegal recruitment scandal in 2021 that caused most of the staff (and himself) to lose their jobs. He was feared by most players and personnel at ASU, and not for good reasons. - In 2022 and 2023, his Raiders defenses have been dreadful. They entered this season ranked 31st in the league. He has been one of those coaches. He has gotten 3 chances at coaching so far, and all of them have been just terrible. The Raiders could have picked hundreds of people to be interim head coach. They chose him. We shall see.

Raiders will be a terrible team for the next decade. The lack of success was not on McDaniels. Average QB playing below average. Worst o-line in football. Its simple. McDaniels become HC, like Carr, gives Carr extension. Carr plays terrible in one possession games last season, McDaniels blames Carr then benches him. Only benched him with in the back of his mind thinking Brady was going to be the Raiders starting QB this season. Brady retires and doesnt blink twice. Raiders and McDaniels are left scrambling for a QB and have to live with Jimmy G for one season. Bad start to the season in a tough AFC and AFC West. Raider Nation wants McDaniels fired, they get what they want, but this team isnt going to be better. They will have the worst record in the league next year, BOOK IT! And wont be competitive for years to come, not with Mahomes and Herbert in the division. Vegas should have gotten the chargers instead and let the trash raiders stay in LA.

Why? Youve seen his coaching record right? As for the GM what exactly has he done besides bring in Adams who then had his reason for signing there run out the door. So i would think the "why" is almost as obvious as "why are so many McDonalds customers obese?"
