Honest would love to go out with you one day especially on the NWP. I don't know much of the area or of course it's schedule. Napa Valley Railroad much more doable. Thanks for posting this.

Seriously NWP, I’m ok if you totally adopt the old SP paint scheme and run all your locos in that paint! Keep the SP memory alive! Also, add a bay window caboose or 2 for good measure, as rolling stock too! Loved LOVED seeing that SW15 in fresh SP paint!

On a slightly unrelated note, Northwestern Pacific purchased a rare Baldwin VO-1000 from Tri Cities Railroad. However, as of August 2017, Google Maps street view shows that this engine is not in their shops at Schellville as it normally is. Do you happen to know if they still have this engine and if it ever operates? I have never found video of it ever operating, even on the TCRY.

It's still on the property as far as I know. It was moved to a different spot in Schellville to accommodate tank car storage. They don't use it though. It needs a fair amount of mechanical rehab to get it to work.

Trainzguy 2472 I'm not sure. There was a time when the NWP was power-short and they needed more units. But better prospects came up. Not sure if that is at all why they did.

I do not believe the NWP purchased it but it is there for storage. It used to work at Mare Island but when that shutdown was moved to the cage at Schelllvile. Now among the dead SD9s not far from it. I believe BUGX owns it but I am not sure.

Did the 1501 work in the Indiana and Ohio Railway? I've seen it in their colors on Trainz: A New Era.

No, it did not. NWP 1501 was originally built as SP 2694 in 1974. The unit ran under UP ownership and later GMTX before being acquired by NWP. Never did it serve for any railroad that far east.

As of right now, early mornings on wednesdays and fridays. That's the latest that I've heard, though it's subject to change.

@@patricknoveski6409 I think it goes without saying that when you publish material to the internet, you're opening yourself up for it. No worries, I always try to make my material more viewer-friendly and more interesting to watch. I like being able to bring home the views that I see, from my perspective.

@@Alwaystrains Thank you this is honestly my 1st time even catching your fine work. Moved back to American Canyon after 16 years next door in Vallejo. big fan of the old California Northern. Wished they remained local & weren't bought outright.
