It wasn't a race thing about doing the voice as Eubank just has a very distinct voice and way of speaking. He was also a near unstoppable force in the ring! Lovely, lovely man, really.

There's a second follow up clip to the Chris eubank impression you MUST see that this is basically just a build up for. Look for 'greg davies, Chris eubank turns up' they basically get him to repeat this and then bring out ex professional boxer Chris eubank and Greg almost shits himself. Pure comedy gold.

When he mentioned about people not wanting him to do Eubank's voice, it wasn't for a racial reason or anything. His race wasn't even a factor. It seems more like a joke just because his impression is just terrible and it's just taking the piss out of Eubank lol

I remember "Testees", I didn't think it made it out of Canada, good to know it got some love in the States. The creator, Kenny Hotz, is also the co-creator of the excellent show "Kenny vs. Spenny" which is legendary here up North and was also a writer for South Park for a few seasons (Matt and Trey were instrumental in Kenny vs. Spenny getting multiple seasons and getting to the US).

The Chris Eubank impression has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the fact that Greg has been told it's a shite impression lol.....they ask him not to do it so he won't humiliate himself by doing a bad impression. To be fair, it's not a bad impression and Greg is a master comedian so it's always funny when he does it.

Carol Vorderman used to do Rachels job. Channel 4 basically go rid of her when she got too old and replaced her with a shinier, newer prettier version. She has a good attitude to the jokes though, she's been on many shows with Jimmy and laughed at jokes about her age.

I use to watch 8 Out of 10 Cats religiously every week, I’ve seen all the episodes.. It’s a shame to see these short cut together clips, as there’s so much more laughs & context in the full episodes. But it’s still great to see these clips & watch other people enjoy them too I was in the front row audience of another show hosted by Jimmy Carr (Friday Night Project) & during the commercials he actually talked to me & my friend for a few mins. Also Greg Davis (the really tall guy) my dad use to cut his hair back in the day lol Also.... I use to go to The Gadget Show (it’s a UK tv tech show which every year they also put on Europe’s biggest live tech show in the uk) The Gadget Show tv & tech Show was hosted by people including Rachel Riley (the woman who does the numbers & letters for the game show) I met Rachel Riley as one year we got the VIP Gadget Show tickets & we got to meet all the hosts etc.. Awesome day ! & yes she is just as hot in person 🤤

Carol Vorderman was a lady before Rachel doing numbers (the game show is called "Countdown). She was extremely good at math. Her mum was the one who sent an application to the program. She was with it from the very beginning on 2nd of November 1982 till December 2008. The first presenter, Richard Whiteley, was with this program for 23 years until his death in June 2005.

Every time I’ve seen that clip with Greg giving the Eubank impression they clip it together with a later episode doing the same.

Wow, Testees is one of my favourite shows and I’m sad it only lasted o e season. It was Influenced by Bottom and The Young Ones, 2 great British shows. You should check out these shows !

Countdown used to be on every single day at the same time except weekends, it used to be known as a show for older people, all spelling and maths, Carol Vorderman was the woman that co hosted before that blonde girl took over.. and then the comedy show "8 out of 10 cats" took over and now its a bizzare comedy lol

Love it! If you like Greg, I'd suggest watching some of his clips on the Graham Norton Show. Also, Cuckoo is a fantastic series.

Testees was a brilliant show that not many people knew about There was also Kenny v Spenny which had one of the guys in it.

Noticed Reginald D Hunter was in the clip, you should check him out, especially funny is his clip on Have I Got News For You on Batman, and his interview on the BBC where he makes Sian Williams cry with laughter.

Chris Eubank is my fave boxer of all time. I'd love to bump into him and shout out English!

I think Greg's impression is still ok even now. The thing is, Eubank has a very specific and normally funny voice, and its always been poked fun at. In many ways it's Chris's calling card. It sort of helped make up his persona. Its not a black thing at all, its a specific Eubank thing. So, I dont think this really compares to the current issues about white people doing black voices in TV, etc. I think there is a distinction here. But, maybe that distinction is too fine for some now.

That Johnny Vegas head is from the TV show Ideal that he starred in, surreal but brilliant

To any Americans who may not know (I have no idea if ya'll have a US Countdown) but Countdown has been a gameshow here for many decades and is in basically the same format as here, only it's all serious, no comedy. 8 out of 10 Cats is a comedy panel show hosted by Jimmy Carr (with Sean and Jon as regulars). They merged the two for a one-off special season but it was so popular it is now a show in it's own right with something like 18 seasons already.
