I found a more efficient mating sequence. On move 34 Instead of Qg2 white plays Qc6+ forcing black to play K×a3, then white plays either Kc2 or Re2 leaving black the only good move K×b4 then white plays Rb1+ or Rb2+ check depending either on Kc2 or Re2 respectively forcing black to play Ka3 then a simple Ra1+ or Ra2+ is checkmate

@@mpmpm it isn't misleading, nor is it clickbait. It's a normal chess expression to say "mate in x moves" to refer to a forced mate in x moves, regardless of how many moves were played before. What James described would more appropriately be described as a miniature in 13 moves, not a mate

When you've seen an attack this aesthetically pleasing why not allow the mate over the board? I might have applauded or at least offered the man a beer for such beautiful chess.
@Isaiah_McIntosh
@Isaiah_McIntosh 4 жыл бұрын
Maybe you don't play that much over the board chess with stakes. Sometimes you resign before mates like this because you're completely demoralised after spending hours and hours and believing you found the answer. You may begin thinking about various forks in the game or if you're extreme why am I playing professional chess. Some guys like svidler routinely allow mate on board because he really really enjoys chess aesthetically first but even then depending on the importance of the game he has resigned beforehand.

Firstly I think you can ask Google to point you in the direction of a school. Secondly it isn't. It is a losing attack. It is very much like Tal. There are games which have amazing 20 move sequence attacks. Agadmator's video of Kasparov's immortal for example was perfect play and it was amazing. I'd honestly rather see carlsen crush someone from an equal position in the end game. That shows deep understanding of the game and also a monster iq. This was losing and while amazing to watch it isn't a perfect game

@@lukemit6640 No game played between two humans is ever perfect unless you trade every piece like engines do and its a draw, carlsen too wins coz his opponents make mistakes no matter if those mistakes are almost impossible to find by a human, just like it was almost impossible to find that black knight to c3 move

Agadmator- Your videos have brought a passion for chess to my soul. I'm to poor at this time to contribute financially, but I can give you my appreciation, and THANK YOU! -I will raise an American army to support Dubov. He took a brave stand against the maskholes of the world, his cowardly opponent, and those who think like "G". From someone I had little interest in as a chess GIANT, he will now be an iconic hero. Dubov made a stand for regular folks all of the world, and we will stand with him.
