It must be both motivational and exasperating to play against those guys with 200 elo points less than them. I am quite sad for Nico who does his best but just can't overcome greatness.

@agadmator I believe the move 15.Bxa6 was a blunder as it sacrifices the light coloured Bishop when the target is a pawn on light square (f7) 15.Bc4 or Bd3 or Be2 (with ideas of h5) was better. The move is flashy but empty and dangerous as it brings the Rook on a8 in to the game. By releasing the a8 Rook White also loses a tempo later to push back the same Rook from a2. Later (at 07:29) 21. Qf4 move is too slow. You said it is "attacking the Black Rook on g6". I do not understand - Why is White changing focus from f7 pawn to the Rook? That move actually invites Kg7 which happens to be a brilliant move. Honestly, it was hard for me to come up with an alternate move for White here. As I see it, the White Knight is coming in the way of attack and there is no place for it to move - with tempo that is. After sacrificing a Bishop and a Rook there is no time to waste for White. On the other hand from f6 the Knight is also preventing the Black Rook from going to h7 to defend f7. In that sense it is best placed there. So, there needs to be another way of attacking the f7 pawn. After a few minutes fiddling with the 21.h5 or 21. Ng8 ideas and going no where, I have come up with 21.e5 with the following lines - 21. ... dxe5 22.Qxb7 (with threats of Qb4+ or Nd7+ check followed by Nxe5 attacking the f7 again - the idea being to move the Knight with tempo) If, 21. ... Rxe5 then either 22. Ng4 Rf5 23. Qxf5 gxf5 24.Nxh6 exchanging 2 Rooks for the queen (and possibly recapturing the pawn f5). This leaves black Queen with no supporting smaller piece for building an attack. I don't know if this is better or worse than the line played. or 22.Qxb7 (threatening Nd7+ forking the Rook) 22. ... Rf5 --- taking white no where. Where is the light coloured bishop? Why is this rook from a8 so active? I believe 15.Bxa6 is a blunder. ------------ BTW, I am looking at this purely from the game point of view. I am aware my ELO rating would be MINUS two thousand (or below) so there is no question of criticizing any player for a series of Blunders and/or weak moves. And I may be totally wrong in my analysis here. From this little post, I also understand how much time and effort you put in to make these extremely high quality videos. So thanks a lot. Regards,

There isnt an opening that will magically win you or give you a solid game. Theres systems against different kind of openings that white may play all you gotta do is study them
@salmarwow
@salmarwow 6 жыл бұрын
Ruy Lopez and Sicilian are the most popular responses to e4 at top level. Both are very solid choices, although very different ones. Of course, the problem with Ruy Lopez is that it's white's choice after e5 which opening to play. You'll never know if you get another Italian game or King's gambit, or Scotch, etc. Yet, it's just the most popular openings. Play what fits your style best. Petrov, Caro-Kann, French - there are plenty for you to choose.
