In this week's video I share the early results of taking NMN, TMG and berberine together with my parents for one month - and whether we intend to keep going with this anti-aging regime, recommended by Dr Elena Seranova of NMN Bio.
We also discuss safety, and the powerful effects of taking this as a supplements combo, with berberine one of the most exciting natural solutions to supporting blood sugar levels.

I like supplements, but EVERYONE should read "Fast and grow young". Our bodies are incredible miraculous creations with the ability to heal itself! All of todays "Dis-eases" are created by our diet. Our food lacks the nutrition it once had, and even 'organic food' has toxins from the soil. Fasting has long been doen throughout many cultures, and even animals instinctively 'fast' when they're sick. The book is fabulous and very eye opening.

@@PierreDybman ANY disease! You’re trying to open a whole other discussion. But yes, our bodies are designed to fight any ailment. Any signs of infection, such as runny nose, fever, cough, etc - they’re all SYMPTOMS of our bodies fight. The problem today is that most people will run to the drugstore to get whatever remedy they can, instead of realizing that our body NEEDS the fever, it needs the getting rid of phlegm! If dogs or cats, or any other animals get sick, they don’t eat! The body is naturally designed to go into fasting mode, so it can use all its resources to fight whatever disease. Digestion takes up the most energy, so if we constantly feed our bodies, it takes away resources from this fight. I referenced a book in my original response that I feel everyone should read. There is so much research and information on this subject … one only has to want to learn. God bless 🙏🏼

I’ve been taking nmn 450mg for a month and I noticed a spike in my energy straight away, work outs are much more enjoyable, deep sleep and dreams, skin is noticeably softer (I am 54)… went to a function with friends and family recently and two people asked what I was doing as I look younger! So I am hooked, I believe incorporating daily exercise and good nutrition is part of this as they help to generate the effects even more. The Pulse is a good Chanel to follow on this subject.

This regimen sounds great ! I am on a low budget so I use Nicotinic acid instead of NMN. Dr. Stanfield says that NMN and NR are quickly converted to Nicotinic acid after ingestion, so Dr. Stanfield uses 51mg Nicotinic acid instead of NMN. Exercise I do now - (To Raise Blood Oxygen, drop blood sugar, strengthen legs, arms and back) : One or Two Minute Exercise Every Hour. Sit on side of bed holding a small 5# weight in each hand at head level. Stand, pushing weights up and inhaling through nose. Sit down, dropping weights back to original position. While moving down, with mouth closed, blow hard and release air on way down. The back pressure on the way down increases oxygen transfer to blood. VO5 will increase. Continue exercise set for 2 minutes. Do one set per hour. This has been shown to drop blood sugar spike so do extra sets after eating carbohydrates. Varation: Hold weights down. While standing up, pull weights up under arm pits to tone biceps.

The tiredness is exactly how you are supposed to feel at night. It means that your circadian rhythm has been reset. Awake during the day and sleepy and ready for bed come night time. I had a similar experience going fully carnivore. Great sleeps and fully awake as soon as my alarm went off and I was ready to go for the day.

I am now a healthy 10st. ( Though BMI said I should be 7.5st. Ermmmm no way I would look terrible🥹) I take NMN and TMG as-well as other supplements. At 60 I feel better than I did at 30. @@snowyowl6892 Great question. TBH I do not know if TMG makes a difference . It’s my understanding that the NMN will eventually work but TMG activates it and specs up the process. I definitely look and feel better, but how much if this do I contribute to NMN or living a different lifestyle????? It’s the same with all supplements I think. Only if we stop will we know if they did any good. Hope this helps.

@@snowyowl6892 Taking TMG/betaine along with NMN (or NR) helps with healthy methylation in the body -- it replenishes the methyl groups, since boosting NAD+ drains methyl groups, which can affect various biological functions. Studies also suggest that TMG may help reduce higher levels of homocysteine that can harden arteries, help manage fatty liver, help with insulin resistance, and with managing symptoms of anxiety and depression. The recommendation is to take equal parts TMG and NMN/NR.

I shed the excess weight easily and never felt hungry on one meal a day. Sleep Apnoea and Acid Reflux gone. However, I think those things caused damage that I will have live with. I would urge everyone to adopt a healthy Keto lifestyle. Don't wait to get overweight and sick (insulin resistance). Prevention is best.

Thanks for introducing Dr Seranova, she has a wonderful ability to explain things precisely and clearly. I know NMN works because at first I took it at night and had the worst sleeps with a hyperactive mind ! Although at the same time my ability to absorb information dramatically increased. Now it's the first thing to take when I wake up before I exercise. The mind does remain clearer and more grounded. I've slowly come to regard carbs as the enemy, in some ways a poison, and here is confirmation that Keto with a lot of low carb veg is the way ahead. Cycling is a good idea, I have found the effects diminishing although maybe I'm just getting used to it.

What do you think about glutathione? Glutathione is supposed to have anti-aging effects and it is composed of three amino acids: 1) NAC (n-acetyl cysteine) which is also supposed to be anti-aging, likely because it is a precursor to glutathione 2) glycine which is also anti-aging for the same reason as NAC and 3) glutamine which is good for gut health.

In 1982 Pearson & Shaw in "Life Extension, A practical scientific approach" suggested caution in abruptly stopping megadoses of water soluble vitamins because of the potential of causing symptoms of vitamin deficiency if cells and tissues acclimated to high levels of vitamins are suddenly deprived of them. For this reason I doubt that "cycling" a water soluble co-enzyme like NMN is a good idea, at least not without a gradual taper off the dosage over a period of two or three weeks. For the same reasons Dr. Seranova recommends ramping up dosage when starting a new supplement, when quitting I think it advisable to ramp down the dosage over time as well. Cells seek to maintain Homeostasis, and abrupt changes mess with that.

Once you start taking one, you need to take two other ones to counteract some effects of the first one. Please can you discuss the role of NMN in rescuing female fertility on the next one? I know there's not much research into this area as yet, but despite the impact on reversing ageing on mouse fertility, it's being ignored atm. If men had menopause I'm sure it would be a different story! I'm taking NMN in the hope it reverses menopause temporarily and boosts my egg health. I'm also taking tmg and several other fertility boosters. I'm on a low carb diet too to reverse insulin resistance. Btw are you aware of the FDA ban on NMN as a supplement in the USA? Apparently it's being withdrawn from USA shelves on March 13th and recategorised as a drug. Not sure what that means for NMN takers in the UK as yet despite reassurances from various companies. I'm following a GP who's wife had her menopause reversed on NMN. The current research shows the ideal dose of NMN is 600mg daily and powder is usually cheaper than capsules. You can Google the info on dosage/trials etc. The info is on KZfaq too. I also follow a channel called My NMN Experiment which posts lots of NMN studies that you might find useful. 250mg seems a very low dose to me but as you know it is an expensive supplement. You might want to add Apigenin or dried parsley or celery seed to your protocols to lower your CD38 levels to get the most from your NMN (CD38 increases with age and it lowers NAD). I hope it helps your parents. My dad has prostate cancer and I had a thyroid issue myself that I healed myself whilst reducing thyroxine, against medical advice....gradually! Not suggesting anyone should follow my example, but it can be done if you heal your body.

That ban on the sale of NMN might be specific to Dr. Sinclair's modified version while he has it in testing. @@thehonestchannel There is a medical doctor from New Zealand (his name escapes me at the moment, Stanfield perhaps?) who studies supplements that purportedly promote anti-aging. After reviewing multiple scientiific studies on resveratrol, he has concluded that most of what we are reading and hearing is just hype, unsubstantiated promo, if you will, and more scientific research is needed to confirm or dismiss it as an effective contributor to our anti-aging protocols. He is here on You Tube. Also, David Sinclair refuses to engage in a discussion with him regarding his findings. I take resveratrol daily by the way. I would really like to know if I am wasting my money on a largely ineffective supplement?! It is fairly expensive.

@@jjtopp99 Dr Brad Stanfield? I've watched a few of his videos. Unfortunately with conflicting studies it's hard to give people definitives around supplements. I also think it depends on your lifestyle and what you eat too. If you already eat a lot of polyphenol-rich foods then you may not need to supplement. Or you could hedge your bets and cycle supplements so you're not taking them all the time but for periods of time.

At your age your nad level should be at half of a teenager, so if you take the test now you can compare against that. I would be very interested i hearing your results. I've long taken a whack of supplements - including berberine et al - but it would be rather more convincing here if the guest speaker wasn't peddling these supplements. Moreover, no mention is made of the simplest, cheapest and likely most effective way to reduce / eliminate insulin resistance, i.e., by intermittent fasting and time-restricted feeding (I eat mostly only within a 6 hr. window; so 18 hours fasting per day). These regimens also reduce carbs and result in caloric restriction (since you are simply eating only one to two meals a day). There is also the question of the bioavailability of NMN...and, naturally, the expense.

Do you take a highly absorbable form of calcium Bis-glycinate or get it from food? K1/K2 and D3 work off that. Magnesium Glycinate is a highly absorbable form, and is used in many body processes. Glucosamine/Chondroitin with MSM (sulfur) help coat the ends of joints with cartilage. (MSM helps stop inflammation). Can be bovine (cow) or shellfish based. Also need trace minerals, they're not in the soil anymore. I got Fulvic Minerals by Solaray. Can also drink BLK water from a grocery, or mineral water. Trace minerals help you stay hydrated. Water alone may flush you out too much. Use Celtic sea salt or Redmond's Real salt. I also uso NeoCell liquid hyaluronic acid berry flavor. To hydrate skin and joints. *Just a half a shot in a glass of water, and you will notice a difference in 20 minutes. Regular minerals like potassium, copper, selenium and zinc. **30 to 50 mg or less, as the body turns off zinc when it gets too much. Niacin is important too. You may want to consider a simple heavy metal detox like Cilantro drops (or eat some) Parsley is good too. Don't eat too many greens everyday or you may build up Oxalates, which also cause inflammation, gout, and imitates arthritis. Methyl Folates are absorbable. Folic acid is artificial. Avocados, broccoli, cabbage, cucumbers, are a natural source of NMN... And Vitamin C is needed for many body processes. Found also in berries, not just oranges. Liposomal Vitamin C is absorbable. Ascorbic acid is an incomplete form So - not everything every day. Moderation. On/Off. And eat real foods. For energy/antioxidants I use: Ashwaganda (Yogi Tea Vanilla Spice Perfect Energy) SOD (sodium dismutase) NAC (N-acetyl-Cysteine) with Glycine ***There is also Carnosine, and Carnitine...good stuff, but different Convo. And Collagen in some beverage... Start 3+ days in a row then back off to every other day. See what feels right for you. ***Use filtered water, not Tap.
