Apparently Adolf Hitler liked wearing lederhosen in the winter; boasting on August 12, 1942, how "having to change into long trousers was always a misery to me. Even with a temperature of 10 below zero, I used to go about in lederhosen. The feeling of freedom they give you is wonderful. Abandoning my shorts was one of the biggest sacrifices I had to make… Anything up to five degrees below zero I don't even notice. Quite a number of young people of today already wear shorts all the year round; it is just a question of habit. In the future, I shall have an SS Highland Brigade in lederhosen." My brother has always been the most sensible man I've ever met. Never drunk-drove; never did drugs; no fights; never got in any trouble, etc. But in his early 20s, he was very tall, well-built, and he just accidentally looked... like a bruiser 😂 Anyway, one night at 2am, he was driving home on a Friday night from his studying (of all things!) - in his university town. A cop pulled him over and didn't even give a reason. He pulled him over, said he could smell alcohol, and asked him to do a breathalyser (this is the UK. It's straight to breathalyser, we don't do sobriety tests. Which I personally think is better, as it answers the question without all that faffing around). My brother blew a straight zero. The cop was shocked, and said he'd never found a lad my brother's age - at 2am in this university town - driving completely sober, on a Friday night. My brother would have been within his rights to get angry, but he's so calm and peaceful, he just thanked the cop for 'keeping the roads safe' - and shook his hand. He was so nice to the damn cop, the cop said he'd reconsider his assumptions in future. He then just said 'drive safe', and let him go. I'm not saying you shouldn't challenge cops, if they behave badly and profile you. But my brother's demeanour was so calm and peaceful, it actually made the cop think twice. Hopefully that saved some other young men in future, from being profiled by that cop.

He was hard as nails, had a rough childhood, and served in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne. He was definitely not the type that you wanted to tangle with. However, he detested these types of officers. He always said that they were cowards with a badge and a gun.

Just a question but did he do anything to try to stop these other officers who were bullies with Badges and guns? Or did he just b**** about it? Sometimes he and the other hard asses but good cops would refuse to patrol with them and basically banish them until the brass had to get rid of them, our sometimes they would resign on their own. He helped get a couple of actual corrupt cops prosecuted. He was an avid reader and Serpico was one of his favorite books. I still have his copy. When he joined the force, Nashville had just become one of the first metropolitan forces. The sheriff that had controlled the county before that was known to be corrupt. He and his partner were involved in investigating aspects of this. The sheriff was still in office in charge of corrections and had many corrupt deputies that were loyal. Some of these deputies joined the police department as they wanted to maintain their law enforcement powers. Some of these former deputies were in high positions within the police department. His partner was keeping some evidence at his home until they could turn it over to the TBI. Just like a movie script, his home was burglarized and nothing taken but the incriminating documents. It's all about getting them to realize there's no moral high ground. That they're just as bad as what they judge somehow. People are often blind to their own actions. The truth is the truth though. Just present the logic with straight answers to questions and sticking to facts. If they play the "legal" cards then play the "You're a hypocrite" card. Some cops know they're pricks. Once that becomes a habit then how can you trust yourself when used to lies and deception? Even if knowing the truth first, if you tell yourself something so many times you can believe the lie. Same exact situation happened to me as first guy. Came home from a hiking trip, got pulled over for headlights or brake light. Asked me if i was drinking....ran me through sobriety test....ended up blowing 0s. Asked if i had been smoking and shook my head while i said no. He responded saying, well you said no but shook ur head yes. Which one is it?" disgusting man. Wish i would have known how unprofessional that was. Maybe would have pursued legal action. It's a small town I had just moved to and decided against it to avoid being targeted.

Pro tip: STOP answering the door for police. If they have a warrant, they won't be knocking.
@greybeard51235 ай бұрын
There is another video where a cop sees two cars parked illegally on the street (It is a narrow street and is is all a no parking zone. In addition, they were mostly in a lane of traffic.) There are not a lot of houses in the area, so it is obvious what house they belong to. He goes up and knocks on the door and shouts that he is police and just wants to talk to them. It appears no one is home. He goes back to his vehicle and calls two two trucks. It takes about an hour for the tow trucks to get there. While he is waiting, he knocks and shouts a few more times before giving up because clearly no one is home. When the two trucks show up and start hooking up to the first car, a young adult female runs out of the house screaming. She is on the phone with her boyfriend. The cop explains that the tow company now has possession of the first car. If she can move the second car before the tow truck hooks up, she can avoid the tow charge on it. She can't. She says boyfriend owns the second car, his friend owns the first car, both of them are less than five minutes away and they are on the way. By the time the boys get there, the second car is on the truck, and the first car is gone. If she had talked to the officer thru the door, he would have told her to move the cars, and they could have just put the cars in the huge driveway that had plenty of room for them. Don't ignore police. Don't have a casual conversation with them, but it can pay to listen to what they have to say.

No sorry. If you've done nothing wrong, refrain from talking with the police at all costs. Had the homeowners/friends not their cars parked legally on the street, the cop couldn't do jack-shit. I don’t talk to police at all. Last time I got pulled over I was asked where I’m going and I just said “That way” and pointed in my direction of travel. Then, he said “OK, where you coming from?” You guessed it, I said “Back that way”. Do not talk to cops at all. This young man did something that he may or may not realize. I served my country for 35 years and I can tell you this young man is going to go far in life. Because he is intelligent and shows traits of a strong leader. The roles where reversed that night because that night be was the Public Servant, who protected his community from this bad police officer and clearly this police office has done this so often and got away with it and clearly his moral compass was smashed and he should go to jail for wearing a uniform that he clearly should have never put on. So very proud of this young man. God Bless You!
