Can’t thank Uncle Stonnie enough for his years of training/coaching me through his videos. My labs are living a good life because I found Uncle Stonnie 5 years ago and learned the Uncle Stonnie methods, it is all about me learning to be a confident and knowledgeable dog owner so my dogs have a good life. My bucket list includes meeting Stonnie to thank he and his family in person for how they have enriched my life.

Stonnie brings back so many forgotten truths about dog training. It's so refreshing in this day and age of internet arguing about methodology! Put the time in, spend time with your dog! My dad knew this. And that's why a pack of hunting dogs and kids all learned how to behave with no formal training sessions.

I kid you not, my Malinois is listening to each saw change and cocking her head. Stonnie is super correct about all of this. I have her going well except when I am on the lawn mower.

My Mali x Dutch is lying at my feet at 11am. She hasn't been out, hasn't been played with, has done no training yet today. No crate required and she's not fussing at me. Just started from the beginning with Uncle Stonnie's videos. #farmdoglifestyle

You're the best Stonnie. My first time seeing one of your videos was when you were showing a litter of mals. One at a time with a camo backdrop. Hooked since and now help rescues in getting mals and dutchies out of shelters and into fosters to live better lives.

Stonie you really are the man. You nailed it when you said that REAL dog training is in between the formal sessions. So much of your dog's life is spent outside actual obedience sessions. Thank you again for a fantastic video and channel :)

Hey Stonnie Love your real life training. If you need something to help you start a fire. I take a dog brush camping, so I can give my border collie a brush and the fluffy under coat that comes out is perfect tinder to use to start a fire, if you don’t have anything else to catch the spark 👍 You just need a dog with a fluffy undercoat

After 30 + years of owning, working and competing with Australian Cattledogs, I couldn't agree more with your comments Stonnie. My dogs have always been good doggy citizens off my property, manners and obedience are number 1. But at home they have to fit in with garden work, farm work etc, they need to work/herd when I need them to, and can goof off, as long as they are not destructive.

Just found your channel! I have a Belgian and she is 18 mo the old. She is a trained service dog and is amazing. I introduce her to many different environments for her socialization. These dogs are so incredibly smart and I want to keep her from developing expectations of doing the same stuff everyday. These dogs never tire out physically but mentally they can be tired out. Will be watching your channel regularly now to learn new ideas to keep me and Angel on our toes!

I've always taught my dogs to be good citizens first. To be calm, to not pull me down the street, to not tear up the house. Of course lots of exercise and doggy adventures happen every morning with a walk around the lake. It helps tremendously.

Love this! I am a guide dog user so the more noises a dog gets used to it desensitizes them, I have a 5 1/2 month old cane Corso/Rottweiler and in Canada last night and tonight fireworks are going off so I had them outside with me Where it never even phased them… I just was playing with them while the noise was going on as background… I have a drywall drill, so going to get that out and play around using the trigger on it as well as the cordless drill… Your videos are so informative, thank you🤍🤍🦋🦋🦋

Great stuff! Since my Mal was 10 wks I've been taking her to Home Depot to see and hear things. After watching your vid's over the last couple of years we have incorporated so many of your ideas. She can hang out at the neighborhood block parties and just wander about the folks, no food stealing or any anti social behavior. She always knows where I'm at, but enjoys just being a dog. Common sense lessons through out your content.

great video out and about getting after it. A lot of stimuli for the dogs to acclimate to and learn from each other. One activity you mentioned but didn't show was shooting. It may not be popular with the algorithms but its a part of life for many of us. I'd be super interested to see how you introduce the noise without dogs becoming fearful.

George needs to set his standards high! He seems like a genuinely great guy, is very handsome, and multi-talented to boot. Hope he holds out for the best. I was just talking to my mom earlier tonight. Both she and I pray over my nephews and nieces so that they don’t fall for the wrong guy/gal or fall too young either. We’ve both been through pretty terrible marriages/relationships and love the single life now. Can’t imagine dealing with a relationship again. But for those who find their true match, relationships are a blessing. And if someone ends up with their first real love, I think the relationship is much more solid. My ex never got over an ex, so brought that nonsense into our marriage. Doomed to fail when the heart has been given away too many times. Keep it in tact!

Great stuff! I have a quick question/video suggestion. Have you thought about doing a tour of your kennel? Also, how you organize your training gear, feed, bowls, etc...? Just a thought! Love the videos! You've helped a ton with my GSP. Currently working on steadiness work. (No- Bird Command, Steady to Wing/shot) We are planning on guiding on a quail preserve this fall, Lord willing. Well, thanks again! Have a great week!

I LOVED the socializing my border collie puppy!! Thousands of miles of walking all over in the first two years. I jump more than him at loud noises and sudden moves as a result. Now blow up Christmas lawn decorations garden art confused him…Everyone points out his manners. I laugh and tease… yeah I beat him well😉 The rest you are right. not the central ingredient obedience classes in reality . if the dog is hyper focused on observing the world

I plan on my next dog being a Dutch Shepherd. Hopefully that won't be for a few years yet, but I am trying to gather as much practical knowledge as possible. I've done my breed research but I need to see as much real life as possible. I had GSDs for years and love them dearly but way too many health problems. The AKC hasn't ruined the Dutch Shepherd yet. I want a dog I can take anywhere but can still TCB when it's time. Thanks gor the videos.

Good for you doing your research. The breed varies a ton between lines. Some are seriously nasty and require tons of work to have around other people safely. I bred them for many yrs and owned many different lines.

I will eventually be looking for a more laid back pup that can be safe around kids and older folks but still protect the family. There are so many people who say that all of them are psychos. I saw one guy say how much he hated them while supposedly traing one. He talked about how nervous they are while the dog stood there shaking. You could tell the poor thing was picking up on the negative energy coming down the leash. I wouldn't trust that guy with my pillow.

Hello sir. Big fan from Bangladesh. I really love Bernese Mountain Dog and Newfoundland. But is these dogs will be good at 110°F or 40-42°C weather? If i give them proper air conditioner room, enough water source and train early morning or evening will i get 100% from them? Or i should avoid these type of breed?

I can "season" a horse to different situations great, but adopted an adult doggy almost two years ago who is extremely fearful of certain sounds and still at a loss on a few of those; like drones, fireworks, and most likely would think twice before discharging a weapon if we had an intruder as he might exit the house through the nearest window. Doesn't help that I'm old and weak😂.
