Having an aggressive rabbit isn't fun for anyone, so please follow these easy steps to make your rabbit less aggressive.
This isn't a quick fix as it will take a lot of time to make sure that your rabbit will start to trust and bond with you. Aggression is usually learned, and because of that, it will take time to build trust. We are talking months, not days or weeks.

It’s sad that people view rabbits so differently to dogs or cats (I know they are predators and rabbits are pray animals) but rabbits can be litter trained and provide great companionship, given the right care. It just isn’t fair to keep them confined, they should be able to act on their natural instincts and live their life. All you really have to do is set up an x-pen or get some c&c grids with reasonable space with comfortable flooring. Wire flooring may not be a good choice for the bunnies health if they’re genetically propositioned to developing sore hocks. It may be easy to keep clean but image if you had to walk on those wired flooring barefoot for a long period of time, rabbits do not have padding on their paws. Bonding with your rabbit may also be easier as you can just sit in the x-pen with her. She’ll have an opportunity to approach you and explore you, it will help her feel more comfortable with you. It’s probably not a nice to have hands coming towards you randomly throughout the day even if they are bringing you food. This whole video just makes me feel sad.

I 've had Bunnies as pets for thirdty some years and have never had an aggressive bun. When i hear about this b.s. i immediately know that the bun is unhappy in its environment. They detest cages and small confined spaces. If a female gives birth in horrible confinement, yes they will spare their off spring. No animal likes to loose its mobility and freedom. Like the human animal, its becomes depressed and revenge full. Buns need twelve hrs a day free roaming exercise.

Great stuff, know a few females like that. I got 9 doe's and 5 bucks. I had a wicked bite off my doe luna. SHe had 7kits while back. Now I got so many. Boys off to vets on the 28th. Great to watch your vids. I love rabbits and my life revolves around caring for them. I cured my rabbit of a terrible eye injury where my thumb nail badlly damage the eye. Flighty doe turned head and it was a hellish injury. After a lot of meds that didn't work a massive cist develop and the vet decide on eye removel. One day before pop I used 6 percent dmso in distilled water in the eye. It completely destroyed the cyist and mending the horrific deep scaring. Dmso is sulfer and very powerful. I'm using manuka to clear an eye infection reacuring with distilled water as well as a teabag wash once a day. The eye in my French loop had a weeping and small lumps under the eye lid and around the eye at the moment. I like to use a small hand held nebulizer on my bunnies. Silver water and saline. They love it. They drink activate charcoal slurrys and apple cider. DE earth I use a lot. Cannabis for them as well.leaves and roots and sticks. I'm making manuer out of their waste.

Some rabbits just have an aggressive temperament. Most of the rabbits I had over the years were pretty tame. One of my 4h projects was almost impossible to handle though I worked with him daily. Then we had a crossbred doe that would try to bite almost daily. It was worse when she kindled. Excellent mother but she would bite the tar out of you if you didn't watch.

Possibly lack of handling, some people buy rabbits for breeding and the only time they touch the rabbit is when they are going to be bred. Also aggressive owners can make them like this.

Any ideas how to avoid this kind of behaviour that my pet bunny would never do it again?

The easiest way to avoid for aggression is to add a J feeder, that way you can feed from outside the cage. Is she aggressive if petting her, or just with the food?

If you watched the video, I told you that I did not raise this rabbit from a kitten. They have such large soft feet that the small holes do not affect them. The only time I have ever had problems was with a rabbit that had a solid floor and got urine burns. But thank you for your opinion.

@FoodForThought. Wire cages DO affect rabbits hocks (hind legs) no matter the size of the wire. Their feet aren't like horse hooves; they are very soft and require solid flooring for traction. If your rabbit got urine burns it was either not potty trained (which is 100% possible with bunnies) OR it didn't have an adequate toileting area. Lennon The bunny is a WONDERFUL channel to watch here on KZfaq. She actually speaks about resolving the issues you experienced.
