New Pilot headsets are packed with technology that make flying more enjoyable, however in terms of looks, they lack that vintage appeal, us classic airplane owners seek out. Vintage looking headsets like the DC David Clarks, lack the comfort and features of their modern counterparts.
I want modern technology, but I want to to look like it belongs in a 1940's aircraft.
I learned that the Lightspeed Zulu 3 headset uses magnesium earcups, and the gears began to spin. Many many hours later, I present the world's first and only vintage zulu 3, to match my Luscombe.
This is NOT an DIY instructional video, you ruin your headsets, thats on you. Also, Lightspeed Aviation does not offer this as a service. Don't bother the fine folks asking for a Silvaire edition Zulu 3.
