Oh god, a Space Karen. May the gods have mercy on us all. Also, we need to give that ship a fleet of sisters. Preferably just as stable as to survive millions of years. And with some triple barreled turrets.

I love how a simple ship is able to inspire countless Legions of aliens into loyalty. Also seriously mouthing off to human bartender? What was that guy drinking because it must have been higher proof that he was used to.

The motto of Lord John "Jackie" Fisher's family was "Fear God and dread nought." He was head of the Royal Navy in the very early parts of the 20th century and modernized the Royal Navy. Interestingly, the Royal Navy was not the only country to come up with the "dreadnought" (or dreadnaught) idea, as the US Navy laid down the keel to the USS South Carolina before the Royal Navy laid the keel for the Dreadnought, but since the Royal Navy ship launched first..........

@@BrunoMaricFromZagreb Lyrics to a song called "The Dreadnought" about a ship called the Dreadnought. Given the second story I felt it was appropriate
@cgi2002
@cgi2002 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrMokele03 it's an odd song when you consider there have only been, to the best of my knowledge, 10 ships to bear the name dreadnought (the 11th is due to be built soon), there were also 2 gunboats that also bore the name and neither sailed from New York as far as I can tell. Every vessel to have the honor of that name (arguably the second most honourable name for a warship, the most is Warspite) has been part of the British Royal Navy, and thus never hailed from New York. Still, it's good to honor the dreadnought's of history, even the imagined ones.
@MrMokele03
@MrMokele03 2 жыл бұрын
@@cgi2002 The song is an old folk song from I think 1893, its about the clipper named the dreadnought. She was commissioned in 1853 and if I remember correctly sailed for around 11 years. During her service she was one of the fastest sailing ship owing to her originally being commissioned as a racing ship. When she crashed off the coast of South America it became something of a global sensation as it was viewed as a sign of the end of sailing ships.
@cgi2002
@cgi2002 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrMokele03 that also explains why I was unfamiliar with that ship. It was privately owned and never held an official commission with that name, and is doubtful she was even armed. I tend not to note civilian ships that are using names of warships as noteworthy since generally they aren't beyond their sinkings. In this case she was notable for her speed, I did a little reading, and she set a speed record for an Atlantic crossing between NY and Liverpool which held for a considerable time.

First story: WOW! Space Karen ! You mean i can't escape them by immigrating to another planet? Bummer! Oh well, there MUST be a corner of the multiverse without this curse afflicting it. This verse is overrun i fear. Even the first shadow , The Amber of legend , has them. Yes yea, Amber is but the first shadow cast. No you cannot live in the original, Oberon himself barely survived creating The Pattern in reality once. The second time was what killed him. Second Story: Dread naught, indeed! Dude AI goes bonkers a short time after connecting to Twitter, how the hell can they remain sane for millennia, witnessing the insane politics intelligent beings create?

About the first one; You must act like a well-programmed video game N.P.C.. Deny any requests you are not allowed to grant, and explain as such in polite, professional, literal words, with a polite, nearly robotic smile on your face. This lack of emotional response will highlight their own overemotionality to themselves and any bystanders. They will not want to face this, and instead may do one of the following; call you names and storm off, getting the karen out of your face. Physically attack you, at which point you are legally capable of responding in kind for self defense, getting the karen out of your face, though I strongly suggest even then you stare at them like an N.P.C., further highlighting their overemotionality to them, Ask to see your manager, getting the karen out of your face, or if you're lucky; storm off silently in guilt, or even calm down and apologize, getting the karen out of your face. responding in overemotiobal kind will only escalate and prolong the situation. You must act as if the soulless institution you represent; highlighting their own wrongdoings by contrast.
