The lyrics are there, turn on CC and you'll have them. The reverb is mostly from the valley and the buildings around him. Thats what Suga had said in his video on the making of this. He is a genius producer, he had alot of input into how things went in this video and of course his song. Are you going to do a reaction to the intro ever??? If your not that interest then i understand 😊

@mistym1752 he's not interested in the lyrics, doesn't care what it's about. He just wants to hear the music and see how well it's done. He said he gets inspiration from it. Just like why will he not do a reaction to the intro Bangtan 7?? Cause he doesn't care and doesn't want to get into it. He just wants to do reaction to song's and get views from Army..haven't you figured it out yet??

@rgober60 I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. But if he's only doing this for inspiration, he's basically looking to copy what they are doing. However he fails to realize that we love BTS for the whole package. It can't be copied.

We all have different ways of digesting music. I think I'm the same as Nathan. I like to watch without subtitles first, and only later look up the lyrics. It's a lot to take in at first viewing, I can't watch the video and the subtitles at the same time. My brain is just not wired that way. A lot of us can't multi-task. It takes probably 3 views plus looking at the comments from other armies for me to fully "get it". Also, I suspect Nathan already watched the Guide by himself. He left us out, he didn't take us with him! 😭😭

I love your reactions. Yoongi is so brilliant and each song has a story. He did a tour here in the USA and sold out each event. His story is also deep. He has a show called Suchwita by the way and in that show he interviews other people but he also interviews all the members individually. We learn more things about them in these interviews. The link below is to all the interviews he has done. The members are: Episode 1 - RM Episode 7 - Jimin Episode 9 - Suga (RM hosts) Episode 12 - Jin Episode 14 - J-Hope Episode 15 - Jungkook Episode 18 - V kzfaq.info/sun/PLLk99m_64qm7FVIBjIHm-xnMrKr3r3UKT&si=0IXGjvOcIluVJig3. Suga was just elected the best rapper in Korea. Since you are watching these three, you'll need to understand the very intense and personal work he was doing, particularly in regards to healing from trauma. When I watch, I put his third video, Amagdala, in the middle, because that was my own story of trauma healing. Please, pay attention to visual details, since they have relevance and connections throughout all three videos, as well as historical references, modern references, and most importantly, psychological importance. Suga is a genius. You may like the instruments and sounds but they are barely the tip of the iceberg. Subtitles, of course.

Until they started military service and doing solo stuff, in the first 10 years, if a solo project was not used on a BTS album, they just put it on Spotify, or a streaming service, as a gift for fans. When Suga wrote this as the title track on his mixtape, D 2, it was a gift for fans, and he just wanted it to have a video to go with it. When the team sat down to plan it, they were planning kinda low key, since it was a gift to fans, and Suga listened and finally said, Oh, let's just make a movie. (At his own expense and I am sure it was expensive.). It is one of Army's favorites and free. In the very early days, Suga bought a bunch of treats to hand out to fans at a fan meet up on his birthday. He made a handwritten note for each one, and taped it on the treat. The other guys saw him working on them and started to help him. I think he thought around 300 would be enough, but even more showed up so he apologized to the crowd.

Did you understand? Basically, Suga plays 2 roles. If you listen carefully to the lyrics he used to want power, fame, riches, cars, clothes, and everything materially. Which is represented by the King. But now as Agust D he realizes what's important in life. Not material things. He knows his time is among the most precious. So Agust D kills the king. If you don't know by now Suga is a genius. With the help of Lumpens, a creative production company, they have produced a Magnificent Masterpiece. Yong-Seok Choi is their art director. And directed "Daechwita". BTS uses this production team for many of its productions. They literally are the best! Mr. Choi was nominated for a Grammy this year for BTS's "Yet to Come". And Lumpens works with other Hybe groups too.

Daechwita is a traditional Korean march, played for political events at the time of kings, army or king movements, etc. The two characters are Suga Rei and Sugar from the lower class. Ruler Suga is a tyrant who kills people who have grievances or are considered opponents. Suga from the lower class, appears with six friends (BTS mention) and there is also a woman sitting in the tent, who gives him the car keys (Army mention). Poor Sugar starts the revolution by going with the car to face the tyrant Suga. We also see the drawing of Bang Si-hyuk, ('creator' of BTS), at the moment that poor Suga arrives by car to face the tyrant king. He challenges the system. King Suga arrests and sentences poor Suga to death. And he, bound and kneeling, continues singing Daechwita (Daechwita being a song that is sung when the king is present. Is the poor Suga the true king?). The people who were prostrate in the courtyard now agree with poor Suga, all nodding to the sound of Daechwita. Finally, the executioner who was supposed to kill poor Suga also joins the revolt, frees him and gives him a weapon, with which he kills the tyrant king. Metaphor: the lower class 'overthrowing the system', mentions BTS that started as a small group, discriminated against, from a small bankrupt company, which was despised and disdained, but which ended up becoming the biggest Korean group in kpop, true kings about the game. At the time of the dynasties there was a strong separation between social classes and slaves were considered nothing. The poor would never become part of the elite. Today BTS is the elite, but it was a difficult achievement, with a lot of 'blood, sweat and tears'. And who gave them the 'key' to start the revolution was the Army. BTS 'brought down' the dominant system of the Korean music industry, as they continue to do until now, breaking down the arrogance and prejudice of the world's music industry. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gMepeNee3r66oKM.html - explanation

I could listen to it all day. I'm looking forward to you doing Amygdala. It's my favorite of his songs, and the video is breathtakingly beautiful. It's also deeply personal, and very painful. The Amygdala video comes with a trigger warning for a good reason. I don't know your history, but please take care of yourself. If it's not a reaction you want to share, that's okay. On his first mix tape, Suga did a song called Agust D, like the name he was using for the mix tape. There's a video for the song and Suga has his hair dyed blonde. There's another song on the same mix tape called Give It To Me. It also has an MV and the MV for Give It To Me takes place directly after the MV for Agust D. This is a bit important because the Agust D from those two videos is the same one as the blonde king in this video. Then the black-haired Agust D in this video, the boss, becomes the policeman/mob boss in Haegeum. You can tell, because he still has the scar over his eye. The other Suga in Haegeum, that kills the mob boss is the current Yoongi. The third song in the trilogy, Amygdala, is both a follow up and a prequel to these other two songs. I know that you've already watched it, even if you haven't posted the video yet, so this won't be a spoiler. Everything that Yoongi talks about happening in Amygdala is real. He got hit by a car while on his part-time delivery job and it badly damaged his shoulder. This was before BTS debuted and he was scared that he would be cut from the group, so he hid the injury. He only got surgery to improve the shoulder's condition at the end of 2020. The song is talking about his memories, but it's the current Yoongi reflecting on those memories, which is why it is both a prequel and a follow up. Yoongi has said in an interview that we give ourselves our scars, which is why that one scene is in the video. He meant that how we choose to handle events in our lives is what determines whether or not a specific event will leave a scar, even if it's not physical. ARMY likes to say that J-Hope raps with his heart, RM raps with his mind, and Yoongi raps with his soul. All three of them are honest and vulnerable in their solo projects. Yoongi definitely lives up to that reputation with these three songs.

Hello, that's my favorite part too, the first time I saw that part, drove me crazy, I loved it. I imagine that you had the CC on, and it was not visible on the screen. Most of the mvs of them, which are on the official channels of Bangtangtv Channel and Hybe lebels have subtitles. Just some of the things/Videos at the beginning or for example the dance practices dont have cc. So , for you understand the cultural references of this song, I recommend that you watch the explanation of Dkdktv Channel In your private time if you like to do it that way or on your channel, it's fine how you do it. (I always say that there are excellent explanations Channels, but I like the ones from these KZfaqrs because they are Korean and speak in English, they are short mvs and do not involve the b.u/bangtang universe, which is very complicated for those who have not been involved in that parallel story)

Hated rap before I started listening to RM, Suga, and JHope. Wow. Now I see the appeal. Their lyrics are clever (and often delivered with in layers with double entendres, etc), often educational/insightful, and fun!

You can not react to his music without reading the lyrics. I understand you are interested in the sound, but you are missing a huge part. Suga always says something important in his songs.

Not sure what happened where you forgot about subtitles 😂. Please check the CC when doing any non English MV reactions. The part you rewatched is all of our favorite parts. Can't wait to see the next one.

If you rewatch on your own with the lyrics with CC, it’s important. The other crazy thing when you listen to the track and beats is that Agust-D raps at different paces even thought the beat remains the same! I hope you watch the explanation video to this one and it will give more meaning to Haegum for you. The last of the trilogy is a prequel of sorts without giving too much away. 💜

OMG you are killing me with the lyrics being an after thought for you. ☠☠ The rappers work hard and write insane meaningful, purposeful lyrics. (Well, when the vocal line write songs, they are incredible too.) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 🙏🙏remember to turn on captions and check them out. 😭😭😭🤣🤣☠☠ Intended with love. 😘Your "favorite part" has great lyrics. Agust (pronounced like the month of August) Yoongi is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Did you ever watch Taylor's Guide!! You can watch and record it and not do it live. Whatever you want, I am so ready for you to see it. 🤗 We all just love another reason to watch it! 🙏💜 Have a great day. :)

So glad you are checking out the trilogy! If you react to Amygdala (the last in the trilogy) please have English CC on because the song has very deep and meaningful lyrics that really give context to the music video. The song is a true story of Suga's trainee days and the hardships he has gone through. I must give the warning that it will be a quite heavy song to react to, but it is so beautiful.

You know that there are English subtitles when you turn on the closed captions right? The music video makes a lot more sense if you know what he’s saying. Also, if you’re going to do Amygdala at the end of the trilogy, you need to know what he’s saying since he’s basically singing/rapping his personal life story in that one.

Amygdala's lyrics are the most important part. If he didn't watch it with subtitles, he's going to have missed the entire theme of the song, production included. Agust D is so heavy with lyrics, it's the only way to actually consume the art as intended.

Yoongi has three personas which he uses. Min Yoongi, Agust D, and Suga. Agust D is the person that is darkest, and the one he keeps trying to kill (with the scar) When he does the head banging movement that is done by the people around him, that is a symbol of rebellion when people used to go against a tyrant/king. The lyric aspect is also SO good. “They say time is money, my time is worth more than that” - sure we can’t speak Korean but we can have lyrics translated and then listen and enjoy the sound (we hear the rhyming etc and can still fully enjoy it) This song during a workout is killer

Yoongi is the BTS member who most catches my attentiontoo--which is crazy because I didn't even like rap before I started listening to BTS! It's been fun watching you warm up to the guys, and I really enjoy how you seem to see with your ears and explain it in your reactions. Hope you'll get around to hearing Yoongi's "First Love " at some point. It's his talent and love for music on full display. 💜

Daechwita - traditional music played when the king or the army was approaching. In this MV, King Suga has become corrupt and crazy, beheading people and oppressing everyone. Peasant Suga is down-to-earth, keeps it real, and has won the support of everyone - commoners and nobles (who we see forced to kneel and bow their heads in the courtyard while King Suga steps on their backs...literally). So, instead of cutting his head off, the headsman cuts his ropes and hands him the gun - bye, bye Crazy King Suga. All hail the new king! Cue Daechwita music! Watch how the nobles in the courtyard are headbanging to the music along with Peasant Suga. Go back and notice how the butcher he nods to in the street is also the headsman. And catch a glimpse of Jin (with a beard and a fishing pole) and Jungkook getting into a fight in that street. It's very similar to the Haegeum MV, where Gangster Suga wins over the people and they help him take down the corrupt Detective Suga (who's been controlling the street gangs in secret), Daechwita is a reminder to not let power (or fame) corrupt you, and that someone new will always come along and replace you. Now, on to Amygdala - the section of your brain that controls memories, decisions, and emotional responses.
