I don't know if you picked up on it but Tomoki's Blast was actually Nuclear Sofia mentioned that it poisons the area around it That's actually Radiation I feel like the anime should have lingered on the build up and blast a bit more to properly sell the power he actually output it's also pretty smart of him to use his invulnerability at night to turn himself into a nuke

Thanks for another great assessment of Tsukimichi. You sounded unsure, so I thought I'd mention it for those wondering; I can confirm that Hibiki's armour does work as armour. Not sure if it was properly mentioned in the anime, but it was in the manga. By wearing that scrap of fabric, the goddess's blessing is amplified and makes Hibiki stronger and provides protection.

@@johndemi7588 I agree completely. The lack of fanservice is definitely one of the reasons this is one of my favourite series. Was less than pleased with this latest ED (video, song is great). Just doesn't fit the series. I think we'll have to tolerate Hibiki, since she relies on her blessing. But hopefully it will be kept to a minimum (in combat only, ideally). Let us just hope no one else is in the same wardrobe situation thanks to that shitty goddess.

It funny that the less clothes you wear the more powerful you get. They really upped the fanservice with Hibiki. But now I want to see Makoto interect with Hibiki even more and see how will they react to another once they know who the others is. It's unfortunate Makoto is wearing a suit that covers his face but at least he recognizes Hibiki, I was interesting in seeing how they'd interact knowing each other but looks like Makoto might be careful around her.

In Tsukimichi Hibiki's get-up is just Goddesses thing, anime skipped it, but in the manga it was explained that Goddesses liked such outfits and gave better quality blessings and power busts to beautiful slender people that wore revealing clothes. That is why some people with compatible body types usually wear revealing clothes in battle to get a better buff from the Goddess. This is a legit strategy since hyumans always rely on that blessing. It is also a legit way to explain fanservice 😂😂😂

as a side note, the anime suit is a reference to kamen rider. BUT the version he uses in the novel, is based on super sentai. with the spandex, instead of fully armored.

i feel like this is an issue with how the anime showed it. in the novel its much more clear that the dude just caused an atomic bomb explosion. which is also why they talk about them getting poisoned/cursed. because they dont understand radiation. the hole in the ground was far bigger in the novel. while here, it seems like what would happen if you used a few kg of tnt.

What I'd like to see is I want Makito in the super suit to declare himself "the hero of the moon god," and then spin a story that basically the goddess of this world called for help from another god, and he's here as that god's representative. It'd be a good indirect slap in the face to the goddess, because it would mean the notable disparity between his power and the power of this world's heroes will also be taken as a representation of the weakness of this world's goddess Vs. the power of the god she supposedly had to run to for help.

Mio is best girl now that she's a pseudo gunslinger. Been loving this show since episode 1. This show has been so much fun to watch. Makoto, Mio, Tomoe are some of the best characters in anime. Their dynamic is just so good. Whenever the three of them are on screen together, im almost always laughing my ass off.

technically it wasnt a "try", he literaly caused an atomic bomb level explosion. the issue is, the anime portrayed it badly, its clearer in the novel that the explosion is enormous. also, the poison/curse sofia was talking about, is the radiation. and im pretty sure tomoki explains that he didnt want to use it, because it would contaminate the entire field aswell in the novel(but its been a few years since i read it, so i might be mixing it up).

Man, I got so used to watching tsukimuchi every week for the past 2 season, now that we are close to the end its sad we will need to wait for more! I love the world building in this story, and as you said - its just payoff after payoff.

They made Tomoki more honorable in the show. In reality he overestimated himself, believing one of his attacks can pacify sofia so he can add her to his harem. And when his party was defeated by Sofia, Tomoki pretended to be dead because he did not want to fight back. Mind you his teammates are on the verge and death, and he has regenerative powers under the moonlight.

The "snake" guy is a self admitted mutant dragon, no issues there. Shiki is a) clearing the mobs in the city, b) is close behind makoto, or c) going to fort stella which is the least likely option imo. I agree makoto will try to conceal his identity from hibiki

Hey Brandon, around 4:50 u ask about the comment from Sofia about Tomoki would die by using that Skill, but u have to remember that one of Tomokis Blessings apart from the "Evil Eye/Geass" is "Immortal at Night" aaaand the Fight IS at Night, so even if he used a skill that used lifeforce, he cant die cuz of the Blessing... And yeah Hibikis "Armor" ...... is protecting her very strongly from all kinds of damage... only the Emotional Damage she will receive once she finds out that Makoto is Makoto... i dont think it will help much and Mio is trying to use a Gun, But the "Snagon" General has a NO U Reflection Skill and if I understood that correctly, she wants to learn how to fight the Reflection Skill but never forget, Sofia VS Tomoki -> Tomoki gets Trashed Sofia VS Makoto -> Makoto doesnt wanna Fight her, so she gets a few hits in, but after he got serious Sofia got Trashed (which Sofia also said something like if u wanna impress me u need to create a lake or something like that) but yeah only a few episodes left....

Well from the opening credits we can assume, "SPOILERS if you normally skip it", Sofia cracks the head of the Spiderman Super hero suit Mio made which forces him to reveal who he really is. At first I had no idea who the other person he was fighting but now after the greater Dragon transform to more of an older man, it's definitely both of them attacking him. It should be fun, so yes he will reveal himself.

one thing that isnt obvious right now, even though the series hinted heavily about it, is that, the power tomoki used was basically an atomic bomb. now, the series doesnt really show it well, because the hole in the ground is small, but that's literaly what he used to try and kill sofia. its why sofia talk about the power causing a curse of sorts, and even mitsurugi not being able to notice. because its radiation, something noone in that world knows exists. its also why tomoki said those things. so yeah, dude literaly pulled an "I AM ATOMIC" and sofia just walked it off.

Yeeeeeeeees, Hibiki and Makoto's reunion finally happened 😤 Her reaction to him arrive in his Power Ranger like suit was pretty funny 😂 I think either he will reveal his identity after the battle or his mask is going to be partially broken for its face to be recognisable 🤔 Hibiki' Outfit has to do with the Goddess' beauty standard. I think the logic "less clothes" more powerful is applied too 🤣 Tomoki getting beat up by Sofia was pure pleasure to my eyes! Mio imitation of gun shot was pretty incredible!

in the anime its a literal kamen rider reference(it has a red scarf and they talk about insects and spiders). but in the web novel, its a literal super sentai suit. which explains WHY he hated using it, since he is basically wearing spandex instead.

Perhaps it’s because I know the end of the season is approaching, but I was not loving that so much time was spent on Tomoki. I acknowledge that it was necessary for a few reasons, including why Mitsurugi has leveled up for the future interactions. I’m just being impatient to see Masoto and his plans in action! This has been one of my top favorite anime since season 1 and am loving season 2. I just wish English translation of the LN was much further along since it’s well behind the anime now.

This is payoff big time. What I really want to see from Makoto is few thing to say: to 4 arms general: "Thanks you for making things easier. Now that Fort is ours." and to Sophia dragon slayer: "I see you are stronger now, now I can cast on you real spells." Or something along those lines... Probably he will say neither, but I can dream. I cant wait to hear, what will he actually say since it would sound dumb and hillarious 😂.

Makoto wants to keep his mercenary work for the Goddess completely separate from the rest of his activities. So no, he won't admit who he is during this battle. Makoto doesn't wear a disguise in his day to day, so if Hibiki ever comes to meet Mio there is a good chance she'll run into Makoto and recognize him as a fellow student from Japan.

the anime verson of the suit is a literal kamen rider reference. with the belt, the arm movement before he transforms in the intro, and the fact mio talk about insects and spiders. BUT, that's not the case in the novel. in the novel he wears a SUPER SENTAI/POWER RANGER suit. which is why he hated it so much, because its literal spandex. nothing armored. and he even complain about it being very tight and form fitting.

Without spoiling, Hibiki is far more dangerous to Makoto than Tomoki since she knows him and has forged something of a relationship (acquitancy?) in school so he respects her. That means that he most likely would listen to her and thus be influenced by her way of thinking. Now spoilers bellow (not really that spoilery but it haven been mentioned yet, thought it could be inferred) ... ... ... ..... ..... .... ........ ..... .. .. . Makoto and Hibiki are too different in their mentality and approach to the Bug's (shitty godess) world. Makoto has displeasure to the way everyone acts from the bug's influence (putting beuty beyond everything else), and so he actually hates the world. This means that he doesn't care about anything other than his immediate circle. Hibiki has been showed only the good side of the world since she is beautiful enough, so to her this world is a pretty place to live, albeit with severe discrimination problems (that and the fact is she thinks that aspect is not a requirement for being summoned, so she doesn't really understand how the godess operates). These two contradictory ways of thinking will give us a really good sequence of events in the future.

the series already explained it. the goddess blessing is stronger the sexier and more beautiful someone is at that moment. so by going so "over the top" she becomes stronger, not due to literal better protection, but due to getting enhanced buffs, from the goddess blessing.

You know, bet he did. Will the show acknowledge/portray this in a realistic way? No, they will not. Will she develop an admiration/obsession for him that doesn't make any sense? Yes, she will. That's why this is for losers. I'm so disappointed. I thought this would be different. I'm still going to watch it, of course, but just not with the same level of hype/anticipation that I used to have for it. I just wanna say one last thing about the girl he knows from the real world, (I forget her name), why even have pretty miss perfect in the show if you gonna do this, like if she's gonna be eye candy let her be eye, if you're going to go in a serious direction with her then go in a serious direction with her. Also and this is a nit pik, why does she even have to be in this world with makoto in the first place it's like if let's take eis for example can you imagine if the girl from the first episode was also somehow reincarnated into that world with cid can imagine how generic that would have felt compared with what they did

And would makoto hit that? Maybe, but it's more complicated than that , this is the guy that rejected 2 of the top beauties in his school because........ People have to realize, if anyone is to blame for the super sentai suit Makoto is wearing. The blame is on Mio and the dwarfs.(dwarfs have been downplayed too much in this season) Because they are the ones who designed it and made the suit. lol Mio just has that weird thing of wanting to see Makoto dressed up in the super sentai suit.(proto type suit btw) XD To be honest both waifus, have weird fetishes when it comes to Makoto. XD And yes the goddess is to blame for Hibiki's armor. Apparently since she likes to wear slutty outfits, she believes other females should do the same. lol And some how it makes the user stronger. Also this anime downplayed how the demons were killing civilians. It's worse in the source material. And both sides if you look at them objectively, aren't good people(beings) on either side.

the anime version is not a super sentai suit. its a kamen rider suit. it has a literal red scarf. which is a major characteristic of showa era kamen riders. its probably as iconic as the bug face with big bright bug eyes. HOWEVER, in the novel, its a literal super sentai/power ranger suit. which explains why he HATED it, since its just spandex, and he coplains about it being VERY form fitting.

I know wearing less increases your speed somewhat but at the cost of having less physical defensive capability, it's only good for people who have great agility and speed that they're able to Dodge to make up for their lack of defensive capability, but for Hibiki this is just stupid fan service, because what I recall of her fighting style her biggest issue was a lack of defensive capabilities, it shows that the Stockholm Heroes didn't learn a damn thing from their last fight with the demons, there's still relying on their goddesses blessings instead of developing their own skills.

I'm not surprised; the anime is ahead of the manga. In the latest chapter (96), Makoto is still teaching his students before the attack and his students just learned that Zwei (Lizard warrior) is a girl. The anime is adapting the light novel, but I haven't read that, so I'm not sure.

it makes more sense in the novel. he doesnt want ANYONE to know that he is one of the heroes, as that would make everyone go after him even harder. he wants to hide as much as possible his link to the goddess. also, the suit he wears is diferent. in the anime, its a literal kamen rider inspired suit, as they talk about insects and spiders, and it has a massive red scarf/muffler. HOWEVER in the novel, he is wearing a sentai suit, which he REALLY hates, because, its a sentai suit, as in, spandex, and VERY form fitting.

Ngl I slightly disappointed, I wanted to actually see tomoki get beaten up completely. But I give this at least he values his comrades. Now to hibiki once again I loved seeing her fight and was cool to see her stronger. Something really cool I loved about this episode was mio, I hope she hones that technique completely. Can't wait to see it finished. Lastly I can't wait to see how things go for makoto, we might see the power that's been hinted at this season when he fights Sofia and mitsurugi

There's actually a reason whys sofia didn't kill tomoki...... She's affected by charm and she didn't noticed it, that's the reason she just started praising him out of nowhere even calling his nuke better than makotos terra forming attack

BUT the anime made it seems far weaker. in the novel, the range is far bigger, and they talk about the entire area getting cursed/poisoned. which is in fact, the radiation. but they have no idea because its something they never saw before.

How/why Tomoki survived felt like weak writing. For some reason Sophia wants him to survive? If she said "I wonder if the goddess will give him any more blessings or some other power up for a next fight," that would fit her show character. But it just seems like Tomoki has plot armor. Tomoki dying here would be humorous but unfulfilling for his and his kingdom's storyline. His surviving to be a late game big boss or mook for the MC to beat is fine, if predictable. Just wish the reason given was more in line with the writing level of the rest of the story.

I remember that the blessing of the goddess makes him immortal at night. And the explosion cursed everything near him. Maybe the Anime skipped some dialogue. And Sofia just didn't wanted to wait until the effects of the explosion and the blessing to wear off.

The way I see it is that it's better to have a weak enemy that you know everything about instead of finishing him off and having the goddess send someone else who may be harder to beat. That or having him alive ensures she's seen as useful to the demon army.

Honestly I had high hopes for season 2 and it was delivering for a little while but now it's got into stupid storyline that doesn't move forward and by the way there has been zero growth from all characters this entire season accept the students which is not what the fans paid to see

how is it not moving the plot foward? first, he will face a demon general, and is literaly stealing territory from the demons. second, he will face sofia and deal with her. third, hibiki will finally see how powerfull both makoto as well as shiki really are. we get shown that tomoki can cause atomic explosions. and finally, this is the start of hibiki trying(and failing) to brainwash makoto to her side, which in turn, makes her become terrified of him. this isnt just plot progression, its literaly setting up MULTIPLE arcs and thread points for the story moving foward. and are doing ALL that, while still offering one of the best fights in the series. and in less than 4 episodes. so i ask again, how is that not moving the plot foward.?

This was & still will continue to be a JP trope. I've seen it well over 20-30 times and, sans 2-3 times, it STILL cannot be justified as anything other than a rather damning criticism of current JP culture. Why? It's ez. This troupe shows that when away from their culture, or group, they become selfish, weak & no longer act JP. A first a seeming condemnation of their actions/character. Yet when they are a part of a group they act according to others wishes by force of said culture and thus weak and barely functional.
