What Hibiki received is a reverse of Heroic Aura. Usually, a Hero inspires other to be stronger, like a buff. In Hibiki's case, it will be the other way around.

It was both funny and fun Makoto fight in that power ranger suit. What makes even more funny is that Suit voice is Mio and I bet she recorded those lines. She would be over the moon tho know Makoto used it. The power that Hibiki received from Luto is one that great for her as she chrasmatic and people fallower her under he charm so power that boost her from other emotions forks well for her.

You're totally right this is where the story really explodes. I wish they did a better job adapting the slower part but I hope there is another season.

Okay, weird point but her "minimalist" armor coupled with her new ability actually helps. Think of all the dudes who catch a glimpse and become MUCH more motivated, then consider how she can feed off that emotion.

i would argue that magic knights of rayearth did "power of friendship" incredibly well as well.

It look like so bs power of friendship is really displayed itself fully, and someone comes in thinking that they second round will be different against Makoto 😂😂 this show is spicy all the right parts.

Im super excited for the rematch in next episode, but I'm kinda hoping Makito just smokes them and it's not even close. 😂

I think Hibiki made a good decision too. She's the main threat as a hero because she'll inspire large-scale change in the long run and only become more dangerous due to her charisma having a compounding effect (not a match for Makoto's practically exponential growth, of course). So an ability that not only helps her here, but is totally capable of growing more and more over time is ideal.

If there's one thing this season has made me appreciate is just how truly fucked up and horrendous this world is. Despite how colorful it is and how characters may act it's pretty dark when you think about it. So many people get killed on screen and off screen. Hell we constantly get reminded by Hibiki that Navarre is dead. As someone that has been digging ahead in the story I'm really curious to see how the story will end. There's more fun ahead but fuck is it still dour in the grand scheme of things.

Also the suit didn't allow him to use his regalur magic that he was used to so he has to use his suit's ability's to fight.

As a Tokusatsu fan I was loving Makoto in the Kamen Rider suit.

The super-suit was all the better knowing that Mio had made it to the best of her ability, not really knowing where the line was between fantasy and reality on the original world. Mio had to fit it all into a suit without over-burdening the suit, a testament to her own abilities. But at the same time she probably thought she was being deficient while she was designing it. For Hibiki, I felt that the bestowing of her new power was important in defining the trade-off... the limitations involved in gaining these abilities. Limitations are only very rarely discussed in various titles, and generally not in such stark black-and-white terms. Yah, you can have this one-shot-win ability, if you don't mind burning up a few million souls to get it. Then she chooses something that is not only a good fit with her personality and charisma, but also something the god is able to usefully configure. I'm impressed in just how much they were able to fit in that little interlude. -Matt

not sentai, kamen rider. he does a literal rider kick. also ironically, in the web novel, the suit IS a sentai suit, as in spandex. which he HATED wearing.

Since I started reading the WN last week, I was extremely happy this episode abbreviated the Io and Makoto fight and quickly brought Sofia into the mix. Granted, I'm not a huge fan of multiple episode boss fights, so I felt this was perfect!

I love seeing the power of friendship be done right. Rather than being a psychological or an emotional thing, in my opinion, this trope is done best when it's an actual power.

There's nothing that I can say that hasn't been said, but I hope Hibiki and Makuto get a moment face to face

Actually in WN the voice talking to Habiki try to entice her to choose time travel related power. but it was not shown.

I was holding my opinions on calling this season a hit or miss because of the rewind arc but I am so glad that this episode they proved to be a hit and have kept the adaptation quite faithful to the novels. Also, now I understand why they did infact adapt this way. The Tsukimichi novels has POV like Ice and fire series and it indeed is quite difficult to keep it linear and streamlined. Believe me. They have slashed so much content which considering the episodes at the beginning of this season might or might not go to the 3rd season because it is related to the Demiplane, Makoto himself and the future. And the point where I think this season might end is a good bookend because of what has happened just two episode ago. This season has been quite exciting because seeing the prominent scenes animated is always thrilling and some improvements in dialogues were good as well. The few gripes I have is the fade-aways that has been plaguing the show since the beginning og cour2. They are quite abrupt. And the relegation of side characters to such oblivion that it feels as if almost no consequence to the MC plots. Lime, Mondo, Eris and Aqua etc. Other than that, OST and BGM are on point and new tracks are 🔥.

In Fairy Tail, strong emotions amplified magic. So you could say it also had the power of friendship.

You want to see a twisted version of the "power of friendship"? Do a Dark SIde playthrough of KOTOR 2, piss off and abuse your party members.

Now really can't wait for next week to see our boy have a round 2 with Sofia really want to see him come on top this time properly. The figth was well doen really both choreograph and animation wise. Like that Io respects his opponents all alows them go assuming you would not interfere with him killing Hibiki even if that is no go. Wonder if get to see Rona be defeated

Good episode, and it's only getting better. Now hibiki's new ability is gonna be interesting, I can't wait to see how far it goes. (Lowkey hoping she can do a spirit bomb if she tries hard enough)

The few seconds song for the hero was nice. This show made the error of having teleportation, so him not teleporting all his problems away makes him look dumb.

I hope the show wont go the route of Makoto never approaching Hibiki and reveal to her that he is in this world as well. Or at least let there be a good reason except Makoto being like "Oh, now is not the right time. I will tell her another time" only for him to never tell her or have him take like 4 seasons to do so. There are enough shows that had similar plot points and did exactly that. Im interested to see the interaction between these two in this world, so it would be sad for me if the won't elaborate on that.

It might be the Power Ranger fan in me, or the hype from Go Go Loser Ranger, but I’d still prefer the super hero suit over a tactical nuke or the power of friendship.

This is just me but like tomoki that power she got has a draw back and I'm guessing she turns into a berserker and goes apeshit on everyone. Again just a thought

I just wanted to point out, though, it _was_ a bit concerning that Hibiki's first idea for her Ability was *"something that helps one conquer the world."* I think that might speak volumes about Hibiki's true character and interests deep down than we initially realize. She ultimately didn't pick that option because the cost would've been too high, but had that not been the case, _what would she have done with that Ability?_

Tomoki doesn't have what seems to be a nuke that is an actual nuke with full on radiation

Hibiki's "Power of Friendship" is actually quite interesting from my Pov 👀 Using the devotion, strong emotion for a power boost... I think it is pretty cool 😮 Makoto vs Sophia' rematch will surely be even more amazing than back in S1 end 👀😎

Now i wonder how many gods are there in this world of tsukimichi. I mean we saw this void dude, the spiteful goddess, and mr. Tsukiyomi. I wonder if demons have their own gods as they're nothing but a race like hyumans and orcs.

I suppose there's still enough time to quickly cover the utter destruction of Sofia and Lancer. Sofia just turned up at the end of the episode.

But more over after rewatching the episode twice cant wait probably wait a month maybe 2 before i rewatch the whole S2 in English but anyway im curious about what his plans are because he said he didn't and doesn't want to kill Demon Commander Lo sonce he still wants to work with them and maybe do business but still kinda of wondering why because why else take the Kingdom/Castle right now if you wanna work with them besides he promised hed help them n give them his support also he made it pretty clear even though he and the Goddess struck a deal she wont interfere with him moving forward hes still holding a gurg and anger toward her because i think thats the enemy he doesn't want to tip off it could be the Hero's maybe but i could see a real possibility where he has a kingdom and olace where demihymans, demons n Hymans live together and coexist maybe or maybe nit demons gotta see but yeah.

Idk if the Goddess had her wear that because honestly i feel like the Wolf dead i mean we haven't seen him since earlier in the season so i feel like the Wolf died someway somehow but he was a Blessing n gift from the Goddess turned from the ribby to a Wolf n back so im thinking that n they kinda of wanted to emphasize that Kozah liked her which why he blushed that n she looked good but besides that i think shell probably go back n have new armor next season and this will be just that a few episodes of her looking sexy n getting owned.

But since Hibiki's power feeds on the emotions of others, that should also mean she could feed off lust and fear as well.

I really hope people are just exaggerating about Hibiki's future hated status, I don't mind her being a bit morally dubious or letting the power get over her head for a bit to get humbled later, but the way these comments are speaking about her makes me worry, I don't want her to become an enemy, I don't even want Tomoki to die, I ideal hope would be for Makoto to humble everybody at the end... But that's just me hoping.

for some reason this supersuit reminds me of "Demon lord in the last row" anime. Both animes have this suit out of nowhere and it hilariously sticks out like a sore thumb :D btw who tf is that power granter?

i wonder who did Hibiki talk too to get that power? Was it root?

This really goes to show that bringing Hibiki and Tomoki here was one of the goddesses biggest mistakes, because her so-called fake perfect world is slowly but surely corrupting them though Tomoki got corrupted a lot faster than Hibiki.

I loved the first season of this show but for me this 2nd season has mostly been a disappointment. This episode felt like a giant waste of time like with some of the previous episodes. Hope the show picks up again soon because I love the characters.

I think the voice talking to Hibiki has to be Tsukiyomi from season 1🧐 Edit: I think some of you might be right. It might be Luto. Sorry😔

I'm sorry but I can't enjoy this episode just because of hibiki wearing that armor
