Who are your favorite AHL Mascots? Did I miss any key details? Let me know in the comments! I did my absolute best to find info on each of these AHL Mascots, but I wouldn't be surprised if I missed some fun info nuggets.

My favorite mascot was from the AHL past. New Haven Nighthawhs had a goriila named Elmo. He was always in trouble. He used to gyrate on the penalty box plexi glass when an opponent got a penalty. Old time mascots!!

Interesting bit of history about Youppie...... He's been around since 1979. But he wasn't always a hockey mascot, but a baseball mascot with the Montreal Expos of the MLB. When the Expos moved to Washington to become the Nationals, Youppie went to the Canadiens.

I've only met one AHL mascot in person, and that was Skates last year. But there are definitely a few on my bucket list that I would love to meet someday: Crash, Kingston, and Frenzy!

Devil Dawg's been the Baby Devs mascot since 2006 when the team was in Lowell, Massachusetts as the Lowell Devils. He stayed with the team when they moved to Albany, NY to become the Albany Devils in 2010, and then to Bingo in 2017 when they became the Binghamton Devils. Sadly, the Devils organization just announced that they'll move out of Binghamton after this AHL season's over.

Oh, I had no idea they had another mascot. Thanks so much for writing this up! Sorry to see they're leaving, but such is the life of minor league hockey teams in North America.

@@TwistedWristerHockey No, they didn't have another mascot. He was the same mascot since his debut in 2006. He was in two different cities before moving to Binghamton in 2017.

Tux is a goalie in the local D league that plays at the teams practice vasility

The Springfield Thunderbirds' Boomer drives out in an ATV & does donuts on the ice before each home game. He also skates around during intermissions. Wish you had included a few more details about our feathered friend!

Hershey has more then 6 calder cups! They're the most winningest AHL team in AHL history with winning their 12th Calder Cup in 2023

I remember cheering for the Rampage when I was younger. I was devastated when they left.

I am best friends with the Springfield Thunderbirds mascot and the T Birds came in 2016 2017 and I am a season ticket hoder for the T Birds and I know about the T Birds !!

You Know, The Stockton Thunder Relocated To Glens Falls,NY And Are Now Known As The "Adirondack Thunder"

@@tylergamertv2-gr6lwTIL that the Adirondack Red Wings moved to San Antonio and then to Henderson, NV. Also that there's an Adirondack Thunder team now. I'm originally from the Albany, NY area. I remember the Albany Choppers and the Albany River Rats. I ended up leaving the area for, among other places, San Antonio (I remember the Rampage leaving, but didn't know where they went.) I've been in Minneapolis since 2020, and plan on staying unless something drastic happens. Still a Bruins fan (since the late 70s) but the Wild are growing on me.

@@Oliviacaptain Years ago, I had the opportunity to go to Orlando for a couple of days. Before I flew out, I wondered, "Hold on, are the Solar Bears playing?" Turns out they were in town, so I was fortunate to see a game - and of course, buy one of their legendary jerseys. My favorite team in the Eastern Conference :)
