Imagine if Ahsoka were to meet Luke and he explains to her how his father turned back to the light at the end. It makes my heart ache just thinking about it.

Ahsoka's reaction to hearing Anakin's voice for the first time in 16 years... This scene is so tragic yet so amazing

"I won't leave you. Not this time." Vader hesitates, remembering back to his past life as Anakin. His bond with Ahsoka, strained, but not yet broken. Perhaps her words move him, something deep inside and nearly forgotten... but it is not enough. Vader has sacrificed too much to the dark side. Vader has lost too much to go back. He hardens his resolve and calls upon the dark side. His hate, anger, and sadness. He has come too far to turn back, even for his former apprentice. If he is to die in battle, then better it be at the hands of someone he once loved. "Then you will die."

Looking back at the Clone Wars, makes this moment so much more emotional. Ahsoka Tano worshiped Anakin and he love that girl like she was his sister or daughter. He was never the most strict Jedi, but he was willing do anything and everything for her because she was more than just a padawan. Now here, he is set on killing her. Her leaving the order had nothing to do with him, but she left him all the same and it hurt him. I love Star Wars. People that have never watched it will never understand how much of a tragedy it is.

I'll chose Ahsoka over Rey as the main character any day.

Vader didn’t call out to Asohka, Anakin did. He cared about her so much that their bond had literally become a part of who he was. You can see Anakin start to come back the second vader sees her. And when Ezra said “lets go!” that was the straw that broke the dark side camel’s back. All of Anakins (for lack of a better word) love for Asohka resurfaced. He calls her name because he misses her, and he doesn’t want her to go. The second time he says her name, he is using the same tone of voice he used with her whenever they were having a tender moment. Its like he’s trying to get all of his feelings across in one word because he knows he doesn’t have much time before vader takes over again. And when Asohka says “I wont leave you” it reminds him of all of his suffering, and vader does just that. This is just my interpretation, but it’s an educated one.

Anyone else notice that Anakin becomes much more poetic and structured with his speech. Everything he says is so Shakespearean that you almost forget he was the witty sky guy from the clone Wars.

There’s something just beautiful about hearing Matt Lanter’s voice with the tone of James Earl Jones underneath. They’re Anakin’s two most well known voice actors, and it’s a dream to hear their voices merge (in a sense).

The saddest part of all this is you can still hear Anakin under Vader’s mechanical voice. He never really died.

‘Then you will die.’ I cannot describe the insane goosebumps I got the first time I heard that line. There was a part of me that was convinced she’d reach Anakin and he’d help them escape, especially after that look of recognition in his eye. That would’ve felt cliched and cheap but considering the fact that this is a cartoon I fully expected it. Then he said that line, his lightsaber ignited, and his pupil shrunk with hatred, and I suddenly found Darth Vader genuinely terrifying for the first time in my life.

“Revenge is not the Jedi way.” Even as a sith, Anakin still teaches Ahsoka.

The look in his eyes after she told him she wouldn't leave him was perfect. A glimpse into the good that was still in him, even if it showed for mere seconds before the Hate took control again.

I feel that when ashoka said “I won’t leave you, not this time”, made Vader angry. Or anakin. If he ever did come out for a moment

I love how the gap in skill is shown. Vader almost insulted by Ezra trying to fight him. Vader keeping Ahsoka so far on the defensive she can't even use her two sabers to get a leg up. Normally she would have had the initiative and her opponent would be trying to defend from agressive strikes from two weapons while only having one. But no, Vader straight up overpowers her advantage with sheer skill and experience

God his character design in clone wars season 7 is so good and really reinforces how he seemed remorseful, as his design in season seven was less cruel and sharp.

Live Action Ahsoka Tano TV Show... Never thought I'd see this come to pass. Ahsoka Tano - The Journey: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hbKqgtVqy9bYZ2w.html Just wow. I am slightly confliced on this because I also wanted to get an animated show with Ashley that is a Rebels sequel and I am guessing this is what we're getting instead. I am mainly interested in the story and with it being live action, it will probably have a higher budget so that is a good thing. Plus, Rosario did an amazing job as Ahsoka and I am sure she'll nail it again. Still, I really want more of Ashley's Ahsoka as well. Hopefully she'll appear in the Bad Batch though if she does, I am guessing she will have a rather small role in it. Will the Ahsoka show begin after we last saw her in the Mandalorian? That seems most likely to me but I am guessing we might see some flashbacks and get more backstory on what happened to Ahsoka in-between Rebels and The Mandalorian. The World between Worlds logo implies to me that we might learn more about her time on Malachor after Twilight of the Apprentice, which I think up to this day remains one of the greatest mysteries sourounding this character. Clearly Thrawn will play an important role in that show given the exposition we were given in the Mandalorian and I am guessing so will Ezra. Given how they announced this one big story event that will resolve the storylines of all these shows, Thrawn might end up being the main antagonist, perhaps Moff Gideon is indeed working with him in some manner.

I like to interpret that when Vader says “Ahsoka” and you hear his unaltered voice Anakin briefly surfaces up. But when Ahsoka says she won’t leave him again instead of the intended effect of comforting him, all those feelings of loss and being abandoned by her and everyone else that lead him to fall to darkness returns and pushes Anakin back down and sets Vader off. Ahsoka is a reminder of the man he once was and tried to bury away out of pain, anger and resentment. By killing her he’d be free of that link

This is the first time I've *really* felt that Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader are the same person.

Since vader is taller, he has the high ground which means ahsoka died

Can we just take a moment to notice that Dave filoni just pulled off a brilliant episode, with more emotion and better storytelling than the last two movie trilogies combined... With a salvaged version of a hated character whos sole purpose was to be shoed in to be relatable to kids, and a guy who doesn't like sand.

You could just see in his eyes, how he misses the old days, and the fact that he feels sad, because she was willing to stay, and not leave him, unlike Obi Wan Kenobi.

I watched all of Clone Wars for the first time and then went straight into Rebels blind without any knowledge this was going to happen. I was crying hysterically. This scene is so so good.

"I won't leave you, not this time" This is truly Heartbreaking knowing that Anakin is pretty much alone now, his wife, his children, even Palpatine, the person who manipulated him to becoming a Sith wanted him replaced.

Fun Fact, during the construction of Vader's Castle on Mustafar, when he was trying to attempt to bring back Padme he had visions on future events and it happens that this was one of them. That's why Vader said, "It was foretold that you will be here."

After watching Season 7, this...this just hits harder now.

Notice that when Ahsoka damaged Vader's mask, the vocalizer was damaged as well. so for the first time we hear Anakin's own voice in his suit, and when he said "Then you will die." It was with HIS OWN VOICE, not his helmet's vocalizer. There's no turning back, Anakin truly was gone. That broke Ahsoka heart, as well as our own. Also note that the one who said the line was Matt Lanter, Anakin's voice actor.

Man an Ahsoka and Luke meeting is a guaranteed tear jerker. So much potential in Ahsoka telling stories of his father when he was a warrior for the republic and telling him the tales of all the good he did before his fall. And Luke telling her of his return to the light and how just like her… he never gave up hope that one day, he’d stand in the light one last time as he gives his life to save the jedi even though it cost him his life. It would take a great writer to make it work if it ever happens but it would be a scene for the ages for sure.

So much storytelling in just one eye in just a brief moment. Even without seeing the rest of his face, you see so many different emotions expressed in less than ten seconds.

"I would never let anyone hurt you, Ahsoka. Never."
