Hears some constructive criticism. With in a year or probly in months that touch up will flake and peel off. You painted over areas that were not prep for paint. You have to sand and dull ALL of the glossy surfaces that you intend to paint. Not sure what grit sand paper was used. Scratches still look pretty deep from the sanding. Paint will shrink a little after it drys. So those scratches will stand out.

I don't understand why 21 negative reviews, these aren't 100% professional repairs, but its not a Porsche.. I detail a lot and this seems to be a cost-effective way to bring cars from a 2 to a 7, not a 10. And it saves the customer some cash. Thumbs up, and thank you.

I erroneously thought this was a 'how to' video. The steps weren't explained, nor were the products used. What was in the spray bottle? What grit was the sand paper? What type of paint was used? How much paint is used? How long is it supposed to dry between applications? Do you have to use thinner with the paint? What do you expect the viewer to learn from this video? Thanks for listening.

@jojacobs43552 жыл бұрын
The amount of thinner relies on the type of paint used. It is usually somewhere around 1:1. As for the grit, that should be at least 1000 and preferably wet or cleaning it frequently like he does. What makes me wonder is if he just rubbed the paint in the beginning before it completely sets so he doesn’t have to buff / polish it. As for the second part, he is adding a lot of layers and I would expect it would to be buffed afterwards or it will feel coarse to the touch. Not sure though because in this vid it “looks” clean.

Great video. I do this but with body paint guns as a sata , iwata spray guns. etc. quick advice. Get a velcro DA and 220, 600 grit sand. You'll save a tons of time trying to smooth the damage. After if you clear coat the area. Spray blender where your clear coat ends. To blend the new clear with the old clear. And let it cure out. And sand it with 2000 grit. Then Compound polish the area and done ✅ but this is just an advice. Anyone works different way. Have a great day 👌✌️😊

Not all of us are expert detailers and can't assume that what you're using in that bottle is water or some other special chemical. Being told step by step is what a video is about. the first condiment style bottle was probably lacquer thinner or wax and grease remover. the squirt bottle was either just water or water with a drop or two of dish soap(dish soap takes off grease and residue, not being cheap lol.) Eduardo Barretto I'm just saying...your airbrush service doesn't get the same care and attention to detail as your full body shop work??? That's not right! As several people pointed out, myself included, you over-sprayed all over the place including the foglight surround. You should always make your work say "quality." But since it's not expensive, you obviously don't care as much...that's what you're saying in your explanation. By the way, you may have noticed that I said in a previous post that your technique was good...so much for your trash talk claim. You just aren't willing to admit that your workmanship needs improvement and for that, you will eventually fail.

But to think I should be OK with your negative, insulting stereotyping comment, No, not acceptable and wanted you to know that. The air brush does get the care as our other services. I did not piece together the entire footage of sanding and polishing and so on. I was demonstrating the technique and other alternatives to body-shop repairs only. We have built a business since 2004 from a hand full of clients to being known in the San Diego area.... and not by providing mediocre work. Every year we add more clients and have seen sales improve as we add more services so failing from poor work, not here.

There is not one person in my country doing this great repair, i want so badly to learn what techinque and methods you are using to fix a stone chip or paint nick.. i have a metallic paint ( bmw silver platinum) that i need to repair.. from what i understand you cannot mix metallic paint with clear coat because it darkens the color.. is that correct? Also using an airbrush is the way because it ensures the metallic flakes are scattered correctly thus showing the right color instead of just puting paint in the chip with a small needle.. the things i do not undersratnd are these: 1. Do you use a normal paint thinner to remove the overspray excess around the chip without damaging older paint and how long do you wait ? 2. Do you use clear coat ? and how? do you mix it with the metallic paint ? do you apply it afterwards or you do not use it at all ?
