Today I made an Air Compressor Cart to help move around my Makita 77 lb air compressor! The convenient carry-handle worked for many years but as I age somehow the compressor seems to be getting heavier! I also added a 30' hose reel, storage basket and water separator to make the cart even better!

Great idea! I think you should at a larger hose going from the compressor to your filter though. 3/8" to match your lead hose.

Wow I had the same idea so I bought a similar hand truck and used rope to (poorly) secure it. Your worm clamp idea is what I was missing. Thanks

I love it! I have a 1965 Kargard 1/2 hp I just picked up and was looking for mobility ideas. Too big for what you did but I have a flat bed Gorilla cart I don't use that will be perfect! I might add an extension cord hanger as well as the hose reel and a small tool box. Thanks for sharing!

good idea but now you got me in a delima, was going to get the mac5200 that has the dolly and wheels build on but now I'm not sure lol I really like this idea with mac2500 with the hose and water filter all connected with the dolly🤷‍♂️ and I'm sure it will all cost the same as just buying the mac5200 #FirstWorldProblems 🤣😂🤣🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

Neighbor just put a dolly on the curb so I grabbed it. I had a similar idea, but your video gave me the full picture on what I want to do with it now. Just curious on the vibratios of the metal compressor against the steel dolly frame. I plan on adding foam/rubber or some material sandwiched between to reduce excess vibration/rattling...is that necessary? How is your creation working after 1 year?

My compressor cart continues to function perfectly and I love being able to move it without hurting my back! Anything you can do to eliminate or reduce vibration sounds like a good idea, however I actually get more rattling from the stuff in the basket than from the compressor/dolly interface!

EXACTLY what I was searching for as I'm encountering the same problem with moving my compressor around as I get older. I already have a spare hand truck of that very type! One question - have you had any issues with the compressor staying in place on the hand truck nose?

I have had no troubles with the compressor staying put on the hand truck nose. I use this quite a bit and it always works perfectly! Good luck with your build!
