Air Compressor Cart | How to make

How I made an air compressor cart out of leftover OSB I had in the shop, and used only a circular saw to make all the cuts.
The problem here is that air compressors are heavy. I have a small DeWalt, but it's no exception. It's heavy, and it's a pain to lug out and move around the shop. So before I get busy on nailing up a ceiling in the garage, I wanted to make sure I had an air compressor cart to easily wheel around the shop.

Items used:
DeWalt Circular Saw
Brad nailer and air compressor (assuming you'll have these if you want to make an air compressor cart)
Drill and driver drill, plus screws and wood glue
Caster wheels from Lowes ($5 for 2)

I liked your cart so well I built one today! I had a lot of OSB left over from a project and this was a good way to use up the scraps. The grandkids will get a ride the next time they come by.

Decker Prairie Woodworks nice! It’s funny, I made it so I wouldn’t have to lug around the compressor, but I still have to remove it from the cart whenever my kids want a ride!

I'm buying an air compressor tomorrow, my first thought was making it mobile. Put in air compressor cart and found your video right away. I've taken notes and will be building one, thank you for the help.

Cody Schieber good luck with the build! I still use it all the time. Maybe don’t use OSB like and did and do some sanding 😂

I was looking at a few sheets of plywood I have laying around, and maybe a couple 2x4s. Yours looks like a great prototype, but I do like my projects to look nice whole still being a day project. Has yours warped at all? Have you considered building in a drainage container for your water release?

I have been using osb only for subfloor. How well does it hold screws and glue? Given the cart will be subject to vibration, is osb up to the task?

It's still solid and I've used it all the time. The only problem I've had is with the cheap casters I bought. I think I've replaced all of those, so definitely buy decent casters.

@@dadcraftedI bet you could. But you take your time to build it and share it ,and some people like those 2 dislikes they just wouldn't see it ,not now not later and even in a million years 😆. I'll make something like that for my miter saw with 2 shelf underneath And wheels , thank for sharing and keep it up the good job.
