Changed my fan belt today on my Kubota 3750, thought of you. Will be placing my filter and fluid order for my annual maintenance the end of the month. I check my engine and hydraulic oil every day and every time I use my mower (weekly) I grease the zerks that they tell you too. I have bags of rags, so many my husband asks me if I have ragged a shirt if he can not find it.

Getting ready for the winter routine Richard, the scraper tractor is one of the hardest working on the farm and often the most neglected. Will you be singing up to the Muller three year fixed milk price?
@thefunkyfarmer6 жыл бұрын
Is there a 3 year fixed deal available? I've only heard of the new 12 months futures deal which we can't apply for as we don't have the required monthly litreage
@Cotlandfarmer6 жыл бұрын
thefunkyfarmer sorry Richard I got mixed up, crediton and woodcocks are offering fixed contracts.

What oil do you use
@masdelasmeliasАй бұрын
Thank you! But what kind of oil shall I put
@clubcardpoints4 жыл бұрын
Thanks - just looked in mine as tractor wont start. It was completely gunked up with some weird viscous white fluid. Trying to take it all apart .
@thefunkyfarmer4 жыл бұрын
the white is probably caused by water getting in the oil. hopefully you can clean it all out
@mwnciboo6 жыл бұрын
Man you need to buy a little steamer with a hose (about £60) the steamers literally would clean those parts immaculately in 30s flat.

Hi Rich Those oil bath cleaners are old technology but are sure cheap to service, I just put new paper elements in our Valtra they cost $250 for the pair. They don't last long when we are baling dusty straw either. Our Belarus and the ones I work on for customers have the oil bath to, it wouldn't be the first one I saw that center pipe was so full I beat a cloth down the middle with a piece of wood to push the crud out. The mesh was jammed solid with straw and the bowl has 1"+ of dirt in and you wonder how it ran at al with such a restriction in air flow. Last winter I had a guy convinced he had ice in his fuel was why his tractor wouldn't start, nope it was 3" of ice in the oil bath air cleaner he didn't have any air flow for diesel combustion L.O.L. Just one question when you put that base back did you add more oil after what you showed us. If not it's low the little bowl in the middle is supposed to be filled as well. The oil drains through those holes in the side of the center bowl so it fills to the same level as the fill line outside. Thanks for sharing the video, take care.

I had a similar problem with a chainsaw that was gutless. I thought I had a fuel problem but it turned out the air filter was blocked with dust

I love Valtra's (I think the N-Series is a mean looking tractor) but at that price, i can buy 5 years of spares for a MF135!!!

Hi Richard, great video. You twisted your top cover off very easily. I took the filter out cleaned and changed the oil and it was very very dirty. I wasn't able to take the top cover off though and I reckon it's very dirty and I can't get it to start- the cover won't budge- any advice? Thanks in advice Richard
@thefunkyfarmer4 жыл бұрын
can you soak it in diesel to free it up?
@ciaranspiddal4 жыл бұрын
Thanks a million for the reply -how would I go about doing that- its the cowling I can't get free. Thank you @@@thefunkyfarmer

Spent my youth in the 70's driving 135's on my Grandpa's farm up near Biggar. Don't think I ever saw an air filter being cleaned out!!!! MF were somewhat optimistic with a "service daily" schedule when it came to farmers eh Richard!??!
@thefunkyfarmer6 жыл бұрын
Ha yes, I doubt anyone does a daily service on it

our 35 does not have the mesh inside it just an empy can.Also the intake is outside the hood.I know that might be because it is an north american version.
@thefunkyfarmer6 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I'm not sure how important the mesh is unless you work in a very dirty environment
