This makes so much sense for Eric and Sir Roger Penrose's conversation

I really dont understand anything about quantum mechanics but I feel like I understood the concept because of the first illustration. So fascinating!

Exactly why I am here. I see this gif out there explaining fermion spin but now I have a better sense of historical context.

@cpmc1 Observation (in this contaxt, or in any scientific context) is a scientific term, which NOT means that "people observ" it means that we (our instruments) are trying to measure some value or property, or observ a change of a property or etc. It is impossible to measure any property of a quantum system without changing it. I wont go into detail why, but remember, scientific and everyday meaning of a term is different most of the time.

I found this very beautiful there is great symmetry here!! Do you thing this symmetry could be part of a universal process in our Universe of symmetry forming and breaking?

Observers are made of particles, particles are used to make observations, so, without even considering the issue of consciousness, it appears the distinction between particles and observers is not fundamental to the model.
@DerpMuse
@DerpMuse 4 жыл бұрын
an observer doesn't need consciousness to make measurements. Its not them doing it, its the machine itself, which isn't alive. Theres also the issue of using lattice matter with stacked vectors that force an event due to energy density. a WIMP tool would yield the best results with lower level events with little interaction compared to a tunneling scope that forces a pinch/well.
