In-Air Plyometric Power
One of the unique aspects to volleyball is that athletes often have to summon explosive power when their base of support (feet) aren’t on the ground. So…an upper body plyo routine where you’re always standing on terra firma might not have all the specificity and transfer to the game that you’d like. Try these jumping rotational throws with your setters and liberos OR some different jumping MB slam variations with your hitters.
NOTE: make sure setters aren’t “setting” the med ball, but are instead catching and throwing it as quickly as possible.
