"Coffee is good to go for the mission?" "Coffe's good." "There we go." :D Thank you guys for taking us along the ride. Professional is expected but with a smile on top makes it's that little extra that makes it so fun and rewarding to watch. The filming and editing is top notch. Gotta love Luftwaffe, the A400M and AirClips. Kudos, job well done.

Apart from observing a perfect technical phase in flight and refueling, the perfect CRM ( Cockpit Resources Management ) carried out by the pilot in command can be observed. Always encouraging the co-pilot and above all, asking for things with a "please"....excellent flight.

I used to sit back in my boat and watch taking off from any military base there always on time, especially in the United States I live by MacDill Air Force Base Central Command and the where are refuelers landing and taking off and how big they are and I think they're C35 Hercules And those are jet engines not prop jobs but we see a lot of C-130 props coming and going beautiful aircraft and big it just wonder how they fly.

AirClips! This is absolutely a 'top shelf' production! I have only recently found your channel and I am hooked. The efforts that your team puts into capturing top-quality camera angles, clearly and with precision, I find, far exceed the majority of other channels that I have ever seen. The cooperation and display of professionalism from the crews that you highlight, make these videos both educational and entertaining! I admire the A400M, what a machine, and you have brought me along for an unforgettable flight, from the comfort of my man-cave! Thanks for investing your time, energy, resources, and expertise and sharing the result with me! God bless you and your team and the flight crews who share their passions, for my informative enjoyment! That 2h12min just flew by! . OUTSTANDING . . I am not a pilot nor in the army. I understood everything. the English is outstanding and clear and precise. I have just seen your youtube channel, you have my vote. congratulation

You need to live where I'm at we have MacDill Air Force Base was c-130s and c35 Hercules refuelers landing and taking off all the time, you can actually feel them as they go over you I would sit in the bay right in the path of the runway and believe me you can count the rivets on them now since 9/11 stop that from us watching them.

As a former aircraft tech, (USAF - long ago), I find it quite interesting to hear the pre-flight briefing, not only delivered in English, but altitude, airspeed and distances being mentioned in feet, knots and miles. But, I do understand that this is for the benefit of the viewers. Those living in countries that have bought into the metric system and have trouble with fractional dimensions are loath to anything expressed in inches, feet or Fahrenheit, etc. The USA is having a difficult time making the transition and I doubt that, in my lifetime, it will eventually give in to the metric system altogether. Just like the old analog instruments, where tapping on the gauges was customary in order to 'improve' the reading. To tell the truth, I don't like (detest really!) the look of digital instruments but, again, I am a product of another time in aviation.

Amazing technology. Thank you George Brayton, Nicolaus Otto, Gottlieb Daimler, Wilhelm Maybach and Henry Ford. Thank you Wright brothers. Where would we be without these smart and driven people. Just a reminder of where the beginnings of our tech world started. These brilliant men so often forgotten. Many more after them built upon their inventions and all these men were the force behind the world as it is today. We must keep this spirit up. Where would we have been without them? This world today is their world. All inventors of technology, cameras, computers, architecture, infrastructure, law and order. NEVER forget the pioneers and WHO they were, where they came from and still is coming from. KNOW THE status quo of the world. We should not allow interference of our strive and lower our standards. These pioneers had standards alright, to be the best. Though much through trial and error, better that than nothing and the achievements are astonishing, much taken for granted by many. They just hop in their car and drive down the road, not giving it a thought for one moment, where it comes from and what it involves...The champions of the world.

The steel bins were probably only there to get two Loadmasters on board, at least there is afaik no procedure stating any need for them. They are used usually for storage of loose items during the flight. So most likely they were empty when loading and added just for training purposes.

The Lieutenant Colonel's English is so good, I could've mistaken him for an American. Overall, great video! One question for anyone familiar with the German Airforce, do they always communicate in English even within Germany?
@hair2050
@hair2050 2 жыл бұрын
That is my question exactly! Anyone know? I could hazard a guess that for a big slow plane not flying in a restricted area sticking to English, the international flight language, would be a safety issue. Should there ever be need to begin communicating with ground control, especially in an emergency situation, NOT changing languages would be a huge bonus regarding consistency whereby eliminating language mistakes-misunderstandings, under pressure.

@skytheproofficial
@skytheproofficial 2 жыл бұрын
@@hair2050 Aviation language is always English, while it's allowed to speak local language in VFR ops, you have to stick to English for IFR. So basically as soon as you want to fly above 5000ft or to another country you'll have to switch to English. This restricts local language to mostly low-level VFR traffic and as soon as you are fast, high or commercial you'll have to speak English anyway, so why bother learning all the procedures twice for English and German when you can just operate in English ICAO-wide in civil and NATO-wide in military? I'm a trainee pilot in the Luftwaffe and English skills requirements date back to when I applied, they explicitly asked for good spoken English and parts of the interview were English while 100% of the pilot testing was in English. Yes I like to make long sentences and yes I'm sorry. Greetings o7
