The kit looks good but I do think it is on the expensive side compared to other Airfix bombers. I like the BOAC option and it looked very nice in the Christmas video you made. Thanks for the review as it was helpful.

I really like airfix. I am building messerschmitt bf110 and the kit is great. Details are incredibly good and it comes with two pilot and gunner figures. As i remember the price was good as well.

Hi, first I have to out myself. I'm from Germany and I was an AIRFIX-child from the age of 15 to 63 and still like the AIRFIX kits more than REVELL because they had pilots in every aircraft. Revell did more styling in the cockpit area but no pilots. In my very early modelling times i often played with the built models and a pilot was always needed. Today sometimes I do only buy a REVELL aircraft if no AIRFIX double is available. What do you think about the differences between the producers ? Greetings and best wishes!

Thanks for watching! Yes, Airfix used to have pilots with most of their kits, but Revell seemed to lack them. I do prefer having the option of crew as it helps when coming to display them

The Whitley is a very good kit, I have a couple in my stash, but I do think it is overpriced. It is virtually the same size as the newly-tooled Wellington but that is only £30... Doesn't make sense

Yes, i have seen it cheaper in a few places, but the RRP is quite high. When Airfix approached me about making a Christmas Video, it totally justified getting this kit :D I wasn't disappointed, it was a pretty great build! (build video is in the works!)

I would expect to get aircrew and a third version (say, the parachute or earlier bomber types) set of decals for the money. Having said that, the model and its presentation is excellent. I particularly like the instructions and the separate colour scheme. What a difference they make. I think it would be very useful especially in such a relatively large kit. Thanks for the information

Thanks for watching! I don't mind there being only 2 decal schemes, but the lack of crew is very upsetting! When I built this I had to use other figures in this one

I have always been kind of interested in the whirlworth because it is a lot lesser known and you really dont hear many stories about it Wait I thought that was your countertop

What's the approximate distance in months (or weeks) between releasing the unboxing video and releasing the build video?

it really depends on a number of factors, such as build time, other projects, priorities. Some could be released within a week or so, others can take months. In an ideal world I would do the unboxing one week and the build the week after, but unfortunately i would never be able to commit to that with my current circumstances
