Noticed it wasn't just Humbrol which saying there was things which were "new" or "re-release" or "new scheme". I know obviously they weren't in the cat for last year, but the Sea King, Seafire got that treatment as well Got your 2024 calender yet Mos?

Seaking was september and the seafire was august so i think you are splitting hairs here matey .. The "new" humbro products were in the range for over 12 months

Thats an old starter set that is no longer in the range and it requires a LOT of filling and sanding...its an old tooling dating back to the 90s,possibly even the the 80s....and yes i have it ,thats how i know.

I thought the Airfix releases were decent, no complaints from me. One thing I hate about paint dropper bottles, not only Humbrol but all manufacturers is that you can't see how much is left in the bottle.

How can you tell if they are mixed properly? They can only be shaken, not stirred (ok, time for the Bond jokes). Personally, I don't like them; will stick to my Humbrol/Xtra colour/White Ensign/Revell enamel tins.

If aurfix and humbrol are both owned by hormby why does airfix recommend using humbrol paints that have been discontinued?

Great models. Any tips on painting and varnishing models. I can build them no problem but when it comes to paint and varnish it's a utter disaster. I've just destroyed a mosquito and need to totally start from scratch again , very upsetting when I can do the build perfectly, but can't master paint and varnish.

I use Italeri paints for years now,and i am only a brush painter.As long as you thin them down they are great.

Airfix is great and my favourite models are their classic cars, but the new catalogue appears to show several deletions since last year. Hopefully this may be remedied during the year - right now the new catalogue feels like a backwards step....
