The only thing I didn't like about this episode is that Airwolf and the bomber didn't go nose to nose in the air like the other air fights in the series.

The raid on the Dam could be inspired by "Operation Chastise" im May 1943 where the Royal Air Force took several air raids on several different dams in Westphalia in Germany.

@@Scioneer it was stated before (in an episode with david carradine) that Airwolf had capabilities that they never fully realized or used. Airwolf has the capability to 'learn' from combat. Surely it can hover on it's own.
