Thanks for the vid. The comparison part is particularly well-done. Concise and thorough, with textbook variable control, leaving the comparison to really focus on the correct variable: the switches and the switches themselves, nothing else.

Using lubed Rose Reds on daily usage, I really love them, it feels so smooth. For the spacebar is a little bit too light for my taste, swapped the spring for NK Cream, and now spacebar have a decent return bump.

My favourite Akko's linear switch is the Radiant Red. Very smooth and poppy at stock. Rose Red and Vintage White are too light. Matcha Green on the other hand has this ping leaf sound when bottoming out. But that packaging tho. Really nice.

Good night, can you help with the choice?I took a closer look at the Kemove k61 keyboard with Ali for $75 on Geteron Red/Yellow/Blue/Brown. I see most take on Yellow switches.What is their advantage?The red ones are for games. I was thinking of taking on Yellow switches and later buying a set from Akko, though I don't know which ones are better suited (probably white for games), but I like the sound of green ones. P.S I've never used mechanics before

The weight mentioned in the video are the bottom out weights. Actuation weight has a noticeable effect in progressive springs. For example, Rose Reds have an actuation weight of 43g. Matcha Greens (progressive springs) actuates at 50g and bottoms out at 63g.
@seekyeefirstforsound
@seekyeefirstforsound 2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with you. though slightly pricy, finally got myself some mx sprit progressives. That's when I realised how important noting down initial weight, actuation weight and bottom out weight is when there isn't a graph. Springs really drastically change the sound of typing, making it way more individual because that's where everyone's typing strength, bottoming out and bounce back really starts to defer. That's probably gonna be a whole nother topic to cover. xD

Does the Rose Red stem seat slightly higher than normal with the top housing when bottomed out like other long stem linears like NK Creams? Since it's 3.5 mm travel If it does, it might help with north facing switch's cherry profile keycaps interference
