I saw an interview with Ed O'Neill in which he says the other actors reading for the part of Al Bundy played him angry and constantly on edge, like Jackie Gleason in The Honeymooners. OMG, I am crying from laughing so hard!! He is brilliant! His timing and delivery are impeccable!! Not only is he naturally funny, he is also a classically trained actor who was on Broadway!!

Just like this years 40th birthday party where my drunken cousin told me Santa is not real .The spirit of Al Bundy lives within all of us.

Even back then the producers weren’t sure the show would survive with the type of humor and the whole dynamic. 😂 I’m as happy as Al at the Jiggly Room they pleased us all they went through with it.

Ill never stop missing this show. This has been my go to whenever im depressed. Me and my dad would laugh at this all the time. After he passed it became my gateway to remembering him. Ive got nearly every episode on VHS from recording at home, and the whole DVD box Set. This show could never be made today But id give anything to see it just a few more episodes

My Dad and I never really got along much. I was 19 in 1989 and I remember him laughing his ass off to this show. I would go sit down, and we'd both laugh our asses off.
