Married With Children is one of the Best Comedy shows of all time..

I love Married With Children. It's one of my most favorite shows of all time. And Al Bundy have got to be one of the best tv characters of all time. He's funny as hell. Lol

FYI, the final Al Bundy speech where he says "I'll be there" repeatedly about shoe salesmen having to put up with troublesome customers is a play on a speech from the John Steinbeck, Depression Era novel "Grapes of Wrath" in which a main character describes the humble and powerless being oppressed and abused and he repeats "I'll be there" in identification with their sufferings.

Yeah as a retail worker, what Al Bundy says, we all think in our heads. Very rarely could we actually say it and get away with it. It stems from the "Customer is Always Right" policy that stores have now, when we all clearly know that not every customer is right... or polite.

“Equal” is the brand of a “diet” sugar in the US.

"We don't like to be called fat" "Then STAY... HOME!" Might be my favorite. Or the giant seal with a pork filling.

Back in the 80's my wife and I never missed an episode.....It was the funniest TV Comedy on TV during its prime ....It really was something brand new on TV .....It really had a good long run too.....

At the 2:53 point in the video, where he's working with the lady in the blue sweater, what he's spraying on her foot is "WD-40" which is a lubricant used both in homes and in industry. He's lubricating her foot to give the shoe a better chance of sliding on to her foot.

These days, anything goes on TV, but you have no idea how different and groundbreaking this was in the '80s. No one heard thing like this in a sit-com before.

At 9:16. I think everyone should work for at least six months in one customer service job. They would have much more appreciation for people in those jobs. For example, people can get hangry on a Friday night and be very rude to restaurant staff. I once worked in a call center dealing with technical support for clients. Some could get very rude at staff who were making minimum wage. I have heard some stories from people who sell shoes. Many customers want the cheapest shoe but also want high quality. The problem is a quality supportive shoe that doesn't split after a month's use will cost a lot. The public puts low priority on shoes. In fact they will put off buying a pair of shoes for 2-3 months and spend the money elsewhere. So I understand some of Al Bundy's frustration. Plus he has that stellar family to come home to each day.

Not just shopkeepers, but anybody that has to deal with the public on a daily basis. There have been many times, as a contractor, that I wish I could use any or all of these comebacks.

The fat jokes in the shoe store... These are classic. The lady customers are actually comediennes and they wrote the jokes for Al. These bits were always a bit out of the general plot line of the episodes, but man these rock! Al is ruthless.

If she went to Al's shoe store knowing full well that putting her stinky feet in his face was offensive, then she shouldn't have gotten offended when he returned the favor.

Insults and used to be a lot more common in tv shows in the past, I remember in the UK, it was like that with many shows and that slowly changed from the early 90's onwards with all the political correctness thing. It's bad when it's just one way, especially if it's insulting something that the other person has no control or little control over but I think if it's done in light humour and both ways, it's passable and as a Brit, piss taking is a common thing us Brits do with each other all the time, it's just friendly banter but with no venom, it's when the venom comes in and it's very one-sided is where I think it's wrong.

I mostly look on youtube for things that I do myself, so being a body builder and songwriter, those are the things that I mostly look for to watch. I have friends who are hairstylists who have rude customers like these women. They come in with pictures of what they want in a hairstyle but don't have the face shape or hair for it. They book appointments but never show up and don't even call to cancel. Will arrive 45 minutes late on a busy Saturday and still expect to be filled in. Will get their hair and two daughters have a style and just pay the fee but no tip, or a $5 dollar tip for all three. Will threaten to sue if the coloring and style was not exactly as they wanted for a special event like a wedding. Will gasp at the cost of hiring stylists, make-up artists etc. for a bride and her maid of honor and seven bridesmaids. The hairstylist may have to book off the whole Saturday at the shop to accommodate that many people in a wedding party. Women who show no customer loyalty when they move a short distance away and go to another stylist. So they do badmouth poor customers behind their backs. It's a lot of aggravation dealing with them.

They were given the freedom to contribute their own jokes. For this, 99% of viewers supported the show for 10 years. There's simply no other show where the overweight actresses are actually welcomed. Many of the actresses have made a so-called "jump start" by participating. The show was made for people to have fun, no one was offended.

This is a great show my favorite. U might try to do scenes or full episodes from the show. It was the ultimate Rebellion against pc culture and the normally saccharine sweet sitcoms of the 80s and before.

The "fat" people in this show are now normal. Now there is another whole extra level of fat. However, no one can say anything because it is fat shaming. No matter the health consequences to them or their kids. The worst part is I have to pay for it for their chronic health conditions.

It's a shame someone hasn't put more video compilations up from Married with Children. The ones people react to are the same tired few everyone has seen. To get the full experience, I would start watching the show from season 1. At first, the actors and writers are still fleshing out the characters, so it's a slow start, and you see them hit their stride.

this is the greatest comedy of all time in my opiniion and if im not mistaken most of the writers are women so for them to come up with these jokes its so funny this show could not be on TV now a days people would get too offended please let me know what you think
